Convert existing DLC to different tuning?

Hi, I'm new to CustomsForge, and to Rocksmith in general, and I was wondering how feasible it would be to convert DLC--whether custom or official--to use a custom tuning? I'm learning to play in P4 tuning ( https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/All_fourths_tuning

), and, given the dearth of learning materials for non-standard tunings, it would be a big help if I could easily change DLC to P4 (mostly lead guitar, I imagine, since playing, e.g., cowboy chords is more difficult). I can do some scripting using Python, if that's useful.

Thing is that you would need to alter the chart which is no small feat to do and that wouldn't even account for the playability of the result itself (unusual stretch and such).

/u/ZagatoZee on reddit offered this workflow:

"Rocksmith to tab, edit tab tuning in guitar pro, open note track (sync) in EOF, import new (guitar pro) tuning, save / export / package as cdlc.

That "should" get you something useable......".

To follow up: I've tried imported a Guitar Pro tab into Tuxguitar, and that program does allow you to easily change to a different tuning. So, that part at least seems to be doable.

it's not impossible, it's just long and tedious to do especially if you intend to alter a lot of songs.
