Question

Hey.
This is regarding the available songs on Rocksmith and the artists that made those songs.
I think we should make a deal with Ubisoft and get the artists onboard so we can make this into something that will make people have to pay the artists for their songs. We already remove any songs that the artists have made available for money. Why not take that a step further and get both the musicians and Ubisoft onboard and create a new form of income for the musicians we love?! Let's make our favourite bands a new way of making money while at the same time let the people who make these CDLCs get the money they deserve.

I've tried to contact bands personally to make them make songs for Rocksmith. I've never gotten a reply. They don't realize that the creators of this site is sitting on a goldmine! Why not bring another level of profit to this site?`The ones who make CDLC can get paid for their effort and the artists (if they agree to our terms which will be a maxprice per song, a percentage to the maker of the CDLC and a obligatory donation to the exalted ones who made this site

@@cryptonitor Not gonna happen because Ubisoft doesn't support in any way CDLC and won't support it in any way. It's not impossible that Ubisoft ends up doing some kind of Rock Band Network one day but a Ubisoft and Customsforge association is unlikely to ever happen.

As for doing it on our end only, this would become a nightmare to manage things and make legal issue a lot more messy to deal with (money always make things worse). We prefer to keep everything 100% free on our end and not interfere with Ubisoft business in any way than to try to create any kind of side market.
