Editing song info

Recommended Posts

I'm currently using version I'm having an issue when editing song information where the song title or artist name include slashes or dashes (/ -). I don't know if this also happens with other non-alphabet characters (+ = etc), but it doesn't occur with apostrophes (').

I have a number of different songs with typographical errors in the titles/artist names. Using CFSM, I can make changes to the artist and song title fields without any problems, but when changing the in-game fields, characters like / and - do not get saved. Example, when editing an AC/DC song or B-52's song, the in game fields save as AC DC and B 52's. Songs that I don't edit in CFSM are able to use those characters (and both CFSM and rocksmith alphabetise accordingly).

Is this something wrong with my copy of CFSM or something that CFSM wasn't designed to handle?

update: I just noticed that the ampersand character gets changed to "and" automatically as well. The ODLC for Bob Marley & The Wailers has all relevant fields with &, but any CDLC I edit gets changed to "and" in the in-game fields.

By "in-game fields" do you mean the sortable fields?  If so the characters you reference are not valid for sortable fields.
