What is the point of the CDLC search tags?

Question

Posted

For the life of me, I cannot figure out how to search using the CDLC tag function.  For example, I want to find all of the Blues related songs.  Surely there must be a way to do this and I am just too stupid to figure it out!

If you click on the little gear icon beside the search box it brings up the advanced search options.  On that page there is a field where you can enter and search for specific tags.

However finding specific things, such as Blues songs, relies on the charters adding those tags to their submissions.

Ah, thanks,  So, you can search within the forums (specifically, the Submitted CDLC forum) to find the song tags.

I had naively thought that I could do a tag search from within the CDLC database (i.e., Ignition).

I'm not sure if you can search for tags via Ignition.

But you can for sure search for tags in individual forums through the Advanced Search on the forum itself.  Just select "Submitted CDLC" under the "Find In Forum" field.

I right understood, there no way to use tags for search in "old search" and "ingnition"? This functionalty  will added in ingnition in future or may be need to  add to user report feedback on left side screen?

Now searching on forums useless, so as in result search i see only name topic, and don`t kow who is artist and other things.
