  1. Hi guys, I have Rocksmith 2014 remastered and the official Cherub rock DLC. Both legal and official and all. I am trying to get the CDLC to work but they just won't show up in the list. I use Windows 10. I am 100% sure I have put the D3DX9_42.dll file in the root directory. The spelling of the file is right: I copy-pasted it from the file in the post here for you to be sure. I have the right file types for pc (p_psarc) and I put them in the DLC folder. I unblocked all files right after downloading (right click>properties>unblock). Rebooted the pc several times. The CDLC's I'm trying to install both have Cherub rock as their package ID. I tried several versions of the D3DX9_42.dll file and none made it work. Since I saw someone ask for a screencap from the root folder, I made a screencap from the rootfolder. The only thing I haven't tried is uninstalling and reinstalling Rocksmith as I am afraid that will delete my savegames. I hope someone of you can help me because Google won't get me any further and I am at my wits end. Here are the links of the songs I'm trying to install: http://customsforge.com/index.php/page/customsforge_rs_2014_cdlc.html/_/pc-enabled-rs-2014-cdlc/fish-on-r37782 http://customsforge.com/index.php/page/customsforge_rs_2014_cdlc.html/_/pc-enabled-rs-2014-cdlc/human-r26853 Since I saw someone ask for a screencap from the root folder, I made a screencap from the rootfolder. http://www.freeimagehosting.nl/site2/image.php?di=JBKU
  2. i bought rocksmith 2014 from steam when it was on sale. i activated it with the cd key from steam and everything was fine until yesterday, when i launched the game and it made me log in then input the cd key. i have tried everything, it always gives me an error that and i need to retry. it doesnt tell me if its my connection or the code or anything besides it doesnt work. (typical ubisoft). ive called ubisoft 4 times and it still doesnt work, ive uninstalled then reinstalled it, rebooted literally everything in my network. the strangest thing is that until yesterday, uplay did not show that i owned rocksmith 2014 when i activated it via the uplay application. it is now activated but rocksmith still asks for the cd key. ive tried everything, please help. ive bought over $70 in dlc and countless cldc songs.
  3. Today I finally finished my very first CDLC, but opening it corrupts my save file(s). After having messed around with EoF, Wwise and The Custom Song Creator Toolkit all day I finally ended up with what I thought should be working cdlc for "Nick the Stripper". Wanting to try it out for myself, I loaded it into my dlc folder and booted up Rocksmith 2014. Upon selecting my profile, however, I was surprised by a message stating my save had been corrupted. Slightly disappointed with my loss of progress I still went through the initial set-up again in order to try out my newly-made dlc. I could play through it just fine and for the most part it seems to have turned out nicely, so I decided to work on a custom tone for the song. I made what I thought a fitting tone and restarted the game only to be told again that my save had been corrupted. I went through the set-up, closed Rocksmith 2014 and opened it again to be told the exact same thing. And so I closed Rocksmith again, deleted my cdlc and rebooted Rocksmith, went through the set-up, rebooted once more and this time found my profile intact. And so I suppose it is safe to say the dlc is causing my save file to be corrupted. And now I'm wondering, what is it I did wrong to make my cdlc mess up my saves? Is there any way to fix this? Does this happen to others? I'd like to try making some more, but there is no point if it's just going to ruin peoples' games.
  4. Tonight I noticed on my Steam library that both my Rocksmith and Rocksmith 2014 have been uninstalled from my Steam library. I have not done anything to uninstall them and I think it has something to do with Steam. I re installed both games and when I have loaded Rocksmith 2014, all my custom DLC are gone. I do have my purchased DLC. I have tried using the latest Rocksmith Toolkit to update the App ID on the CDLC but to no avail. Has anyone else encountered this problem? If you have a solution, please share it. Thank you very much.
  5. Lately, I've been unable to both play and test songs in RS2014 on bass, because out of nowhere a few days ago, my bass strings started acting up. Basically, when I strum a string (fingered or picked), it will make a muted, twang-y sound that quickly fades away, though it still makes normal, solid and lasting notes when I strum while holding down on a fret. Unfortunately, this makes traditional tuning pretty much impossible. I posted about this on another forum and was told that this likely has to do with how the strings are arranged in the nuts on the headstock, and I've spent a while attempting to properly restring that part, despite having no idea how to go about the proper way since I'm still generally a novice, and I've already broken 2 or 3 strings in the process and am out of spares. Does anyone have any advice for this? I've included a picture of the headstock and nuts if that helps. http://i.imgur.com/A6gvU05.jpg
