  1. I'm fairly relaxed about songs not showing up, the exception being the occasion that adding content makes the RS2014 hang frequently. The solution I employed was to take any recently added content out of the dlc folder and then add half of it back, then restart and if it works, take half of the content not added back and restart and repeat until the frequent hang returns. Then I know that the problem is with one of the smaller group of files added. Attempting to find a single file, a larger batch, one-by-one would otherwise be too time consuming. Sometimes a particular CDLC (repeatedly) will not play, but doesn't hang RS2014, in which case I just remove that file from the dlc folder. From time to time, I also find CDLC that has worked, now either hangs, or will not play though without hanging. Subsequently attempts to play these CDLC have mixed success.
  2. Is there a interdependence that may exist between particular CDLC/psarc files? eg if there is a tone required by a file, that is provided by another file, or requiring a feature unlock from RS2014? I'd previously just considered the files as independent, but it seems more complex than this. Given that the is such variability in the availability of CDLC on a single computer, where no other changes have apparently occurred, I wonder if a file use/modification timestamp is used in determining how CDLC are enumerated. Is there any information about how enumeration works, or even an educated guess?
  3. I still find that some CDLC goes missing, the content is much more stable the first time round than the 2nd time and nor does the 2nd time round display all songs and often the lack of album thumbnail indicates that should you choose that song at that moment, RS2014 will freeze. I have begun to appreciate the random availability of songs though, I suppose it's a bit like unlocking a song through proficiency.
  4. Thanks for the info about the arrangement ID duplication. What seems to get me around the problem is to quit back to the "Begin" prompt, then rather than confirming the quit, hit "enter" to restart, re-select profile....the missing tracks are back. It could be something to do with the way that RSInjector initiates RS on Steam for OSX.
  5. I wonder if RSInjector might have something to do with the variability. What seems to bring me more success in tracks appearing in RS is to start with RSInjector, do the usual stuff, select profile, then "esc" to quit, "yes quit", then RATHER THAN "esc" again to confirm the quit, instead press "enter" to Begin. The missing songs now seem to be back.
  6. I assumed this was a Steam problem, rather than a Mac problem, hence when I had a quick look around to see if anyone else was encountering the same flakiness, I looked for Steam rather than Mac/OSX. http://customsforge.com/topic/3221-cdlc-intermittently-goes-missing-on-steam/
  7. Am on a Mac playing along via Steam, successfully using both CDLC from others and CDLC that I've created myself. Am finding that new CDLC is a bit slow to appear in the list of songs, or that songs I've played in the preceding days is missing, despite multiple RS and Steam restarts...eventually the missing CDLC seems to return. Does anyone have a handle on what/how Steam is doing when determining which content is available/new? I decided to "play offline" a few days ago when I was testing phrases/sections and found that being offline meant that nothing new was appearing in the list of songs displayed. Normally, I find that restarting Steam, waiting a few long minutes before using the RSInjector to initiate RS provides fairly reliable results, but sometimes Steam will have been running for 30 mins or longer and some previously played CDLC is missing.....despite it's presence in /dlc.
  8. Also get error 6 when attempting to add leading silence to track on OSX, but don't follow the solution....is this some hybrid/dual boot stuff? Have checked permissions....chmod'ed 666 the ogg files, the wav file, the directory. Have also ensured that the path is simple...ie contains no embedded spaces...etc. To add the leading whitespace in Audacity, is this a find your whitespace in another track, then copy-paste it into a new file, then copy-paste the track you wish to pad into the new track adjacent to the freshly-added leading silence?....or is there some automatic-magic in there somewhere? Oh yeah I see in the song.ini file there is a line "delay = 0"....what happens if I just bump this up a bit? I wonder is the value sec's or milli sec's.
  9. Mac user via Steam here. To get CDLC to run, I have to copy the "blah"_m.psarc file to the following location. Before I got my own CDLC running, I downloaded the CDLC of others, had to use Rocksmith Toolkit's converter to turn the "blah"_p.psarc into "blah"_m.psarc /Users/YOURNAMEHERE/Library/Application Support/Steam/SteamApps/common/Rocksmith2014/dlc The alias I created on my "desktop" points here. /Users/YOURNAMEHERE/Library/Application Support/Steam/SteamApps/common/Rocksmith2014/RSInjector.app Generally I've found the toolkit a bit flakey on OSX....prone to falling over for no particularly good reason. A restart of the Toolkit frequently clears up any problem. After adding new CDLC, I restart Steam, wait for 30 seconds, then use the RSInjector, again moving slowly to do so, as moving fast seems to mean that much of the CDLC content does not appear in the list of songs. I gave "working offline" a go this afternoon to see what effect this has....it mainly seemed to prevent new CDLC from appearing. Ninja edit...For the Wwise step converting to .wem files, I used a PC, as I had well & truly had enough of trying to do things on OSX byt that stage.
  10. In EOF's FILE menu, there is MIDI IMPORT. Midi files at least superficially seem a bit like Guitar Pro files, containing a version of a song in the form of synth instruments stored as tracks, though perhaps without the sophisticated musical notation that details bends, sustains, slides, hammer-ons... So I thought I would give MIDI IMPORT a try. The 1st time around It had prompted me for a MIDI file, so I give it one, then it requested a Music file, so I gave it the ogg file that should relate to the midi file. But I couldn't determine how this did anything other than the ogg file import. Is there some advice relevant to the MIDI Import?
  11. I'm using EOF on a Mac, though I use a PC for the Wwise wav to wem file conversion, before heading back to the Mac to package using the Rocksmith Custom Toolkit. It's not the most efficient process in the world.
  12. Oh yeah...Sorry I forgot to state that adding delay, just pushes the beat markers back into the song....it doesn't change where the music begins, so in some cases there is no time for a count, it is just straight into it.
  13. Hi. Am attempting to create CDLC on a Mac. On loading EOF, a pop-up tells me that it doesn't support MP3 (and need to install LAME & Vorbis tools)... so I use an OGG file by exporting the MP3 from Audacity, which is then imported into EOF. The complication seems to be that EOF cannot edit the music file to insert the leading space, or delay...I tried both methods and attempted to make sure that it wasn't a file permissions issue by chmod'ing the file to 777. Anyone else finding (on either OSX or PC) finding that the OGG files won't allow delay/leading space to be inserted? Anyone on OSX gone as far as installing LAME and Vorbis tools and been able to add delay leading space? Given the amount of hoops I have had to jump through to get Rocksmith & CDLC making apps running, I'm reluctant to sink more time into attempting to configure programs that aren't well understood from an installation path perspective.
  14. Useful to know....I won't waste anymore time trying to complete the process on a Mac, though in other places I am hearing sounds that Wwise for Mac is on the way (have progressed through Alpha, into Beta testing). It doesn't seem available yet, nor do I feel the need to be on the bleedin-edge. Thanks!
  15. Hi. Am running OSX and have been following various tutorials on how to create CDLC content, most of which are either assume you've got the applications already installed, or assume running on PC. I saw a post or 2 on SmithysAnvil from mikewiehle regarding Wwise for OSX, indicating some sort of solution but nothing that made a great deal of sense, mainly pointing in the direction of an SDK.. Can Wwise be installed successfully on OSX? Care to share details of what worked for you? Tx.
  16. Care to share the knowledge regarding how/what to install for Wwise on OSX?
