I deleted a bunch of doubles from my dlc folder and I removed my Killers dlc. I had the cdlc leftover from before it was official. Now I don't now how to get it back.

This is kinda of stupid question but It's worth a try... I owned Rs 2012 on xbox 360 (Still do) I have switched to pc for obvious reasons,cdlc and all of that. Can I just buy the import tool or whatever it is and get all the 2012 songs ? Does the cost of the tool cover everything or do I have to buy RS 2012 on steam and then buy the tool ? Obviously I don't ant to buy another copy if I already own it.Other than the gigs and the concerts in arenas,there's nothing that make's me want to RS 2012. I want to be very clear and say I'm not asking if I can pirate the dlc. When I used to play Rockband the import tool wasn't free but it did allow me to import the songs once I payed the $10 for Rockband 2 and the $5 for Rockband 1.

I turned my game on yesterday and loaded the same profile I have used since the beginning... It took me through the first time setup and I lost all of my progress.It took forever to unlock the bigger venues,so I'm kinda irritated about that. I want to now if there's a way to unlock them faster or with a cheat or something. I don't like playing without venue mode,it's just more fun to me. I really liked how the gigs were done in Rs 2012.The epicness of hearing your axes echo through the arena was cool... If anyone knows why I lost my save stuff,I would love some input on that as well. My profiles are still there when I load the game but there's no unlocks anymore.

I have two questions- 1) I installed RS 2014 and the game loads fine but the notes on the customs never load.It just shows the speakers.The game isn't frozen because when I strum sound waves come from the speakers. Do I need to put that dx.dlll or whatever it is in a different folder ? I moved my dlc folder on a backup drive and then dragged it to the RS steam folder after I installed windows 8.1 2) I have a dual boot setup on my pc that allows me to choose which os I want to run. Anyway I went back to Windows 7 last night,after I ran into this issue and when I started the game it asked me if I had played RS before and took me through the first time setup again.I lost all of my progress.The weird thing was that both of my profiles were still there when I booted the game. Is my game progress stored in the cloud or what ? Could it have been a ubisoft issue or something ?

Thank you !!! I agree 100% I understand folks spend a lot of time on these customs and I appreciate the work and effort that goes into them. The majority of songs I download are great or I just don't notice whats wrong because I'm such a noob. One thing that irritates the #$%^ out of me is songs that don't have tones. I think it would be great if there's a rule that says YOU CANNOT UPLOAD A CUSTOM WITHOUT A TONE Or maybe make a section that is specifically for cdlc that has no tones. The second part may exist already and If it does I apologize. I don't understand why someone would even make a song without a tone to go with it. My excuse is I have no clue what pedals and gear to even start with. It would be nice if we had a solution that would keep the admins from doing a bunch of extra work to maintain something like that. Maybe you guys don't mind. I'm just giving my opinion on the subject. Broken songs and missing tones are a complete waste of space on my pc and this site. I didn't say I could do better because at this point I can't. I've made two or three customs (only two came out decent) and even after a ridiculous amount of hours were put in to make them I never came up with a tone. I'm saying if someone is willing to take the time to make a custom and upload it to this site there should be a standard for tones and other stuff like that. Obviously deciding if the tone is accepetable is a matter of opinion but at least add something close.

I was playing Lazy Eye and a purple came up on fret 24.How do I play that ? My guitar only has 22 frets so Im confused.

Im using Ernie Ball-Slinky COBALT 10 13 17 26 36 46 What strings do you guys recommend ? I'm still a noob but Ive come a long way since I since I got Rocksmith 2012 and 2014. I bought the thicker strings because my high e string kept braking at the point where its wound around the tuner and I like the sound the cobalts make. I'm pretty sure it's because the metal on the tuning peg is soft and the string is digging into it but that's another subject. I'm assuming the slinky's will be harder to bend than the super slinky's but I'd imagine it's not a big enough difference to cause me to mess up,I just suck right now... Do the different gauges make a big difference on the sound or is it just a preference for playing ?

I've been looking for this for a longtime. For a noob like me,it kinda helps me compare pedals and effects to the real life versions. Maybe it'll help some with tones or deciding which one you want to buy. I have seen some rig rundown videos on some of my favorite musicians on youtube and I didn't know how to get there sound in game. For someone who's kinda of new to guitar it can take a while to train your ear to recognize what combos you need. I know some guys can name the whole setup from hearing it. Hopefully,this will help the guys (like myself) who are still learning. The list doesn't look complete but it's a start. Im trying to rank up my bends for a mission and I cant figure out what Im doing wrong.Do you pick the note then push the string up or pick and bend at almost the same time ? Neither works for me and its annoying as hell.... Its seems like an easy task but Im screwing it up some how.

Rocksmith 2014 stutters sometimes. I have windows 7 GTX 770 Fx 4130 Black Edition 8gb Ram My system should have no issue running this game on the highest settings.Could it be a problem with the cdlc ?I dont notice any pattern so I cant pinpoint if its a song or not.It seems pretty consistent.

Id like the difficulty thing as well.Wasnt there a patch to skip the tuning screen in RS 2012 ?

Like most of you I have quite a few songs and it's starting to get kind of annoying scrolling through all of them.Sure there's worse things in life but there's a bunch of songs I never play and I want to delete them and keep what I do play.I know I can organize my CDLC folder but I don't see the content that came with the game.Does anyone know if I can delete it ?

I knew nothing about playing guitar before I got Rocksmith.So yes.It's helped me a bunch.

Yeah,I liked the arena/big concert feel better.

The main thing I want is the bigger venues.I miss the concert atmosphere from the old one.I just love live music and they add to the epicness of concerts.

I having trouble figuring out an easy way to play them.(duh right ?) I mean I dont know where my fingers are suppose to go.How do you decide the correct way to place your fingers and which one to use for certain notes ? You know when you play those solos that are close to the body of the guitar.I dont know when to use my middle,index or whatever and my pinky finger is terrible for that.I think Im picking up a bad habit of using my index and middle finger the most because I keep missing with my ring and pinky.

I cant figure out how to complete these missions.Theres no green pick or whatever that shows which to play and when I pick random ones of the list I dont get credit.

I also use finger ease as well to condition the strings and help my fingers.Its not a must but it helps.

I have a affinity telecaster.Its a great guitar for my skill level(noob) Ive noticed that the metal used for the tuning peg or whatever they are called is softer than the strings so they kinda cut into the pegs at the spot where you wind them.Anyway you can file the edges down just a little so that they arenet so sharp.Its worked for me so far(strings were cutting a groove into the tuning peg).I also took a peice of gorrilla tape and stuck it through the hole and under the high e string so that the metal doesnt contact the string and cut it.I dont know how long it'll work because Im constanly changing the tuning as well.Ive also started sorting songs by tuning that way I can just play a bunch that are they same so I dont switch so much.Its getting really annoying having to replace one string all the time.
