  1. When I get chance I will have a go at re downloading the offending cdlc,s and see if I still have the same issue. I did try to install v4 of net framework but it said I couldn't as I had a later one installed already or words to that effect. I am not at home at the moment so will try again later ☺

    EDIT;

Back home now so i tried it again, and the installer is adamant it is already installed, tried the offline file and the web one

    Stone Sour - 07 82_p.psarc.bad    3.68 MB (3860795 bytes)

  3. Done :)

No duplicates found, i take it by selecting the GUID column and then asking it to check for duplicates it is searching within that criteria/field only and nothing else.

Still have the issue with the tuning though. could it be due to the quantity of cdlc i have in the folder?

  4. @ "did i do something wrong is that the way it is supposed to work?"

Screen shots are good.  Results show the tool is working correctly.  If you checked " Include Subfolders" before you selected Parse Folder then the count is correct.  Remember this is a track count.  The file count was shown while the parse was taking place and is no longer displayed.

In order to see the duplicate CDLC that are causing crashes, you should sort the files by GUID first (click on the column header) and then check "Highlight Duplicates".  (There is a tooltip that popped up alerting you that you should do this).  Your current sort (in the screen shot) shows that you are sorting by "Artist" so you are seeing duplicate tracks by Artist.

Did the tool find any corrupt CDLC?  A message box would have popped up following the "Parse Files" action if you had any.  These will have been moved to "Quarantine CDLC" folder.

    Thanks for feedback and question.

EDIT:  Looks like something is wrong with the "Tuning" column  since all you CDLC are showing "Other".  I Do all you CDLC (even those not on screen) show as "Other"?

On the initial run it did find some corrupt tracks and i do have a quarantine folder as a result in C: I have just run it again now , and yes all the tuning says other all the way down the list.

Is there a way to have it highlight only the duplicate files not just different paths of the same cdlc as everything is being highlighted unless it only has the one path .

It seems pointless to list all the current paths of a file then highlight them as duplicates. You just want to know if you have 2 individual files that are the same ?

  5. I have just ran it for the first time and i think i may have a bug, either that or i misunderstand how it should work.

i have selected the cdlc folder and as i have subfolders within it i ticked the include subfolders.

it has performed the scan and said there are 4932 files within it as it list's each cdlc path as an individual song did i do something wrong is that the way it is supposed to work?

as i still had an old bainies one version 3.63 and had been using that i ran that as a comparison and had something different. So i haven't a clue as to how many i have actually have, i am confident i dont have any dupes but i know i have something killing my scores :(

this is the properties of my dlc folder

Apologies if i should not have posted a screen shot of the other version just felt the comparison may help, feel free to delete/modify the post as required.

    Kind regards

  6. I bought a spare from Ebay the back end of last year as a spare, I finally got round to testing it a bout 3 weeks ago to find that it did not work, the only reason i tested it was my active bass stopped working, turned out to be the battery.

so I looked around and decided to order my spare/backup cable from Amazon and tested it as soon as it arrived. I would hate to think what i would do if I was without a cable for my rocksmith *shudders*

  7. None that i know off, i cant see it ever happening either to be honest for a number of reasons

First and foremost is musical taste everyone's is different  within the rock/metal genre

    second difficulty levels

thirdly path ie lead rhythm or bass (not all cldc,s cover them all)

lastly and the most important is Updates and feedback, if you dont subscribe and or provide feedback you wont be notified of updates nor can you give constructive comments for the creator to be able to improve their work

  8. I was a Super mod (some call them global mods) of one of the largest cover site forums for about 10 years and had often felt the need to edit post's of members and tidy threads as they can look tatty fast and be hard to follow. The post's us mere mortals see is only a small percentage of the post that need to be pruned out on a daily basis to prevent spam and the like building up, you get post's and threads that need to be approved etc and this takes time.

So to speed things up mods/smods and or admins  edit posts to make them easier to scan through, it is never intended to offend it is just purely to make there jobs (that they do for free and can often be thankless) easier, so their time can be better spent else where.

I for one am more than happy for a mod to edit any post i make if it makes there job easier :)

  9. I am with PC Plum, i would say the error is with either your security settings ( private browsing maybe) or a firewall/av/ cleanup program  deleting cookies Like Izzy said.

First of reset Internet explorer and chrome, save a backup of the latter using a tool like Mozbackup but only keep the favourites and login details not the cache.

See if restoring the internet defaults by doing thefollowing.

Control Panal/internet options/advanced/reset. (i would move the favourites folder to a safe location if you have some you don't want to lose before doing this) then clear the lot out.

    Next

Grab CCleaner and run it  Click me <-- this is a direct download button to the standard version so you don't have to jump through hoops to get it, Ccleaner is clean, add free and completely free.

once installed launch it and take the tick out of the box for cookies as you want to keep them look to the botto right hand corner Run cleaner press it and wait for it to finish.

Next we are going to de clutter the registry using the same tool, just a different part of it.

click on registry left hand side next tab down,

click scan for issues, leave it to run

Once done click fix selected issues  Bottom right.

You will get a pop up once you hit fix selected issues, this gives you the option to fix individual issues or all of them, i tend to tell it to fix all.

You will then be prompted to create a backup of all the issues so you have the option to restore it if things go worse (i have never ever known things to go bad after a clear out), so create one if you like or don't bother i never do so this is up to you.

It may take a while to run both types of scans

Lastly DO NOT have a browser window open while the scan are running, if you need the above instructions to follow copy them to a text document and save it on your desktop but only after grabbing Ccleaner!

Do the above at least every other week ,and especially after windows does its monthly update cycle as it tends to leave a few things in the registry that need to be cleaned up

Hope the above helps, if not wipe it and start again.

  10. amp all set up as is the aby switch , thanks once again for your input Izzyhttp://i1379.photobucket.com/albums/ah142/Doug_N_Shaz_Brooks/IMG_20150202_190349_zps0vkesne1.jpg
