  1. That's fair. Like I said, it's a matter of a quick relaunch of EoF, so if it didn't have a plausible fix, then it's no big deal. Thanks for the insight :D
  2. It's not a super important fix, given how quickly EoF can be closed and re-launched, but I don't suppose there's a fix for all audio disappearing after changing audio devices, e.g. going from headphones to speakers? Also, I did not look through to see if this had been posted about already, so I apologize if this is a repeat thread.
  3. Hi all, I'm not sure if I'm in the right section of the forum, if so, I apologize. So, I noticed tonight that one of my custom tones doesn't quite sound the same way in the song as it does in the tone designer. I've loaded the song into the toolkit, checked the tone settings, everything looks fine comparing between here and the T.D.. But once I get to playing it in the song, it just sounds flat. Has anyone else experienced something like this, or might anyone have an idea for a solution? Thanks
  4. I suppose a two-week-silent topic might mean there's no proper solution <_< Worth a shot
  5. I wasn't sure where to post this, nor could I find any topic similar, but has anyone figured out a workaround for USB headsets? I use Voicemeeter for sharing Oculus audio to the TV, but that has the same result as setting my output to the headset directly.
  6. The "Piano Roll" input did it. I was unaware that "Classic" involved input by the 1-6 keys, so I assumed classic was what I had always been using.
  7. Sorry to revive an old topic, but I seem to be having the same issue again, and after following both suggested steps, I'm stumped. I just started a new project and already, I can't add notes to it. I've got the input method set to classic and my grid snap is set for 1/12. My preferences are indicated here. I'm wondering if a fresh install would settle this issue.
  8. Hi all, I'm having trouble adding new notes to my charts, whether they're newly made, editing old projects, or modifying an imported .gp5 file. Can this be caused by any of my settings or preferences? Thanks!
  9. Forgive my ignorance, I did not realize there was an updated version of the toolkit on the site
  10. I was repacking a song which goes by two names (Coheed and Cambria: The Final Cut/The Willing Well IV: The Final Cut) and I was surprised to see that I couldn't add the colon to the song title after the numerals. Every time I try, the TK auto-deletes it. This surprises me only because colons and similar punctuation are not unheard of in Rocksmith (Between the Buried and Me -- Selkies: the Endless Obsession). Is this something that was overlooked, or did the punctuation cause issues with the creation of the files at some point? What's the story?
  11. Is there a changelog that we can keep track of to see what's being changed each month? EDIT: Scratch that, didn't surf through the forum enough
  12. That's just it. When I close EoF, I get no prompt to save changes, and no errors other than fret hand position errors, which are unnecessary, as the positions have always worked just fine on the current version of the CDLC. However, dragging the first beat measure seems to have done the trick just fine as opposed to using the function.
  13. I've been updating one of my customs, and all has seemed to go well, up until I save, close EoF, and reopen/reload the notes file. All of my changes are undone, the beat offset is back where it was prior to saving, and my effort ends up being for naught. Any explanation/purpose for this?
  14. Oh, okay, great! I had no idea what that function did to the note, so I sort of ignored it. Probably should have tried all options first. Thanks for the tip!
  15. I recently bought a songbook so that I could do up an entire album by a band, and I've come across a lot of notes that are meant to ring out, without sustaining those played over it. Does Rocksmith support this feature, or is it not yet doable in EoF?
  16. So, essentially, every time I turn on MIDI tones for note correction, I always hear a different instrument. Sometimes it's a bell, sometimes it's an organ, but very rarely do I get the standard guitar instrument. In which file will I find these entries to be deleted? EDIT: Scratch that, file name was more obvious than I anticipated
  17. I bring this scenario to light because most times I use the MIDI tone in EoF for note-to-fret comparison, it uses a different tone each time I turn on the feature, which in turn sounds like an entirely different note than what would correspond with the fret position. My suggestion is to provide a menu in which the user can select from the various tones within the Edit menu so that the MIDI tone is not dynamically changed between bells, keyboards, or guitars. Alternatively, statically assign tones to be registered to the different EoF tracks (guitars to real guitar, keyboard -> keyboard, etc.)
  18. When opening ignition, I was taking a look at my CDLC posts and noticed something very sudden - In the 'Creators' Drop menu at the top of the page, there is a submenu that reads 'Uploaded CLDC', rather than 'Uploaded CDLC'. This is the only problem I've seen since ignition's implementation, and it's almost un-noticeable. I definitely wouldn't say it deserves its own patch, but rather be looked at and tossed into the next significant update
  19. Does anyone know if my CDLC files will transfer if I use a Steam Link? I know all the hardware is half off, and I'm tempted to buy the Link/Controller bundle for the $50, so I was wondering if my CDLC will transfer with the game files, or if everything is installed locally to the link.
  20. It wasn't EoF directly, I just wasn't sure if I should've posted it to the EoF forum, or the toolkit one. Due to implementing custom tones into the couple of CDLC files I've worked on, I wasn't aware of how single-tone arrangements worked. So I just import the settings to a new tone in the toolkit, then assign it to the bass?
  21. I receive warnings when performing a full save, but I always ignore it since the bass only needs one tone, which is already set as the default. And the XML file has no tones, default or otherwise.
  22. Title says it all, I made a tone assignment in Editor on Fire, but every time I load it into the toolkit, it's been reset to read as either "Default" or as one of the other XML files' tones. Is there a specific reason for this, or is this a small bug that I'm encountering?
  23. That's actually something I've looked into before, making sure everything is grid-snapped properly, and I've got phrase markers in there. However, I was able to apply firekorn's solution in a way that didn't negatively affect the other arrangements. What I ended up doing was changing the time signature anywhere that proved necessary. This way, I was able to place my section/phrase markers -- for all three tracks -- without error
  24. I noticed after trying this that changing the offset really didn't help or hurt my efforts. I also discovered that I can change the Time Signature at any given point, but that's a universal change across all instruments. However, using this while the beat offset is at its original location, I was able to halve the time signature during the solo without disrupting the rhythm guitar. I must thank you for helping me find that solution, this actually should go significantly more smoothly now!
  25. I've set the time signature, so I can see where everything lines up. Would pushing the offset back be a better option, or is that typically frowned upon?
