  1. This is my first foray into intermediate bass, but since I score 98%+ on my last few attempts in beginner, I figured it was time. I'm going to go on a limb and assume Smells Like Teen Spirit isn't super hard since I got 98% on my first play through, and I'm not that good yet. :) http://cloud-4.steamusercontent.com/ugc/543022535947625903/7D1C017103C044E6E238B3859EC7716AECCD2C29/
  2. I gave up on finally getting 100% on the beginner bass song. I always make a stupid mistake in a random place, so 99.66% was as close as I could get. ;) http://i.imgur.com/45N8nLu.jpg I also tried the intermediate and was happy to get 94.2% on it my first play through. http://i.imgur.com/O6BeBf5.jpg
  3. The new version of Falling Away from Me is SOOOO much better. Playing in A is just... weird. And rattling. This should be considered my official entry. ;) http://i.imgur.com/0zWYKYK.jpg
  4. I scored better on the Baby Metal song for bass than I did on the easy song. :) http://steamcommunity.com/profiles/76561198025190929/screenshot/541895114149881778
  5. I had to do it on easy so I didn't fail out. Not happy with my score, but I've played it 5 times, and it's not that hard of a song. :/ http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=407886573
  6. Anyone else have problems with Falling Away from Me on bass? It seems like it doesn't pick up half my notes. I realize I'm new and all, but I'm not THAT bad. :) I've double checked my tuning to make sure that isn't the issue. I wonder if it's from the rattle of the tuning being so low?
  7. As someone who is pretty new (to bass and to CDLC both), I was curious if there was a master song list from past championships. Having a list of 72 easy and intermediate songs to play around with would be absolutely phenomenal. If not, I can go through each week's post one by one, but I was hoping not to have to ;) Thanks!
  8. I've been playing for 2-3 months now. I'm loving it. I'm playing bass. I'm close to where Milkman Dan used to be though, where he finds tab and thinks its too hard and quits... I'm at that point with a lot of Rocksmith songs. I'm still really enjoying it though.
  9. http://cloud-4.steamusercontent.com/ugc/541894933437994166/8E6D90C13506A3966318B9F2228E15C8E98F5960/ Disclaimer: I've been playing two months. Woo! I played this and thought, "Man, I'm awesome! Let me go to intermediate!" And I played through the intermediate song and immediately banished that idea... Edit: This is my first entry in the championship. Excited for next week!
  10. Thanks! I'll pick them up. I saw James Jamerson's Chromatic Exercise in another thread, but couldn't find any CDLC for it, but I'll look again. If not, I 'll just youtube it and play it from there. I've played the heck out of Blitzkrieg pop, but I'll look up the other ones you suggested. Thanks!
  11. Hey guys, I'm pretty new, only been playing for about 2 months now. I've gotten a ton of CDLC from here and I love it, but most of it is way too hard for me, probably because I tend to pick songs with really cool bass lines. Can you guys recommend some good songs for someone pretty new? My favorite song to play so far is Stray Cat Strut by the Stray Cats. Songs with the walking bass like that and like Cake's Stick Shifts and Safety Belts are some of my favorites. Any suggestions you have for just getting better in general would be awesome too. My warm ups always consists of playing major and minor scales and then I usually jump into playing some songs on Rocksmith. Thanks!
