  1. The command prompt is normal behavior. That's is the dx9 file you put in that allows customs to work. Troglodyte is right about you having a bad one. You can delete everything in your dkc folder or just move it out of Rocksmith and put it on your desktop. The only way to figure out which one is bad would be to check the date on the file and delete the recent ones. Which is what I would do. They have a date next to them. I would delete recent ones.

  2. Just played one song tonight "Sweet Home Alabama" have played this many times on learn A Song without issues but played it on score attack "hard" for rhythm and upon completion Rocksmith froze and corrupted my profile....can anyone confirm this is a issue with this custom? ...on pc running windows 7Thanks

    Isn't that an official DLC anyway ? So far I have been lucky I guess, no save file corrupts and I have had a few in song crashes. A friend of mine had some bad file on his Rocksmith and decided to reinstall from steam and it was all good, all his progress and everything.
  3. Short answer, buy the PC version. Long answer, while you can install the files onto a PS3 the console has to be modified. There are so many variables to this, it has to be an older one, don't plan on using it online anymore and you could brick it. We have no instructions on how to modify a PS3 because well, it might kill it. In the long run the PC and MAC version of the game is a good investment. Steam runs sales here and there and it was I think $15 a few weeks ago. It's much easier to add files to your PC than to a console and the game plays better on a PC anyway.

  4. We've had this talk before. What I call rock you call metal. Genre is somewhat subjective depending on your background. I include genre in the tags but that doesn't work from the search side. I think it's something they are working on.

  5. The list goes on and on. Sean Yselt, first female bassist I saw that could flat out bring it. Nancy Wilson back in the day. Any members of Vixen in the 80's. Lita Ford, Joan Jett. Now remember, I'm talking in their prime. But the only reason we find them hot is that we can't have them. If they weren't famous we would say, she's not bad, but we wouldn't drool either,,, just saying.

  6. Um. It's not showing up in your song list in game? Yet it is showing up in your dlc folder,,, try this. In game go into where it says shop and look through the song list. It should show cherub rock as purchased. Back out of the store and see if it's in your song list. If not you should be messaging support at steam.

  7. Pick real_bass_22 then under Rocksmith arrangement type in EoF, pick rhythm or lead. Then import the tab track you want into it. Done.While packaging it with the toolkit, you will either make it a bonus part or it will be assigned as an alternate part.

  8. Umm. I'm not sure what the question is. I have a 5 instrument custom out there.4 is easy. While making the chart in EoF you simply use the real_bass_22 track ,just reassign it's instrument as rhythm or lead so it will change to a guitar for tuning. If you want five or more you simply rename the xml file for a finished part then use that track name again. In game the extra parts are either bonus or alternate arrangements.

  9. Well, because of what has already happened more than once. Someone uploads a custom that they didn't create and the original charter gets pissed. One of my customs was reuploaded 8 hours after I posted it,,8 hours. And how do I know that the supposed fixes don't actually screw something up. People need to learn to use the toolkit, period. I am yet to have a custom I couldn't make work. I imagine if it was possible some people would want me to come to their house and show them the riffs first. I say if you want to fix one, redo it, in it's entirety, like I did with Judith, which only had a bass part.

  10. @@Alex360 -- Tried updating today, and chrome is giving me "eof hotfix (r1341).zip is malicious, and chrome has blocked it".  Dunno how it came to that conclusion, but there doesn't seem to be any other information or an option to ignore.  Beats me. --EDIT--I had a file "Unconfirmed_________.crdownload" where I told Chrome to download to.  Filesize was right, so I renamed it to "eofhotfix.zip" and checked it out.  Virus scan came up clean as I expected, so I went ahead and put it into my EOF directory.  Seems to be working fine...  I wonder if Chrome suddenly has a problem with Mediafire or something?  Very weird.

    Chrome has a problem with EoF, it doesn't like it. Seriously, I'm not being a smart a#@.
  11. So, Autographs Turn Up The Radio is one of those off pitch songs,, I don't remember the exact tuning but it doesn't matter. What I was just thinking of was the Led Zepplin song that,, well Page recorded the solos in a separate session, at home or something and the pitch is slightly different, due to a slight tape speed difference, no way you will EVER get that one to sound the same. And the song always sounded off to me because of that,, man it's slight but it sounds weird.

  12. Mac: Copy file: "_m.psarc" to "~/Library/Application Support/Steam/SteamApps/common/Rocksmith2014/dlc/" , you might need to use "Command-Shift-G" to go inside ~/Library since it's hidden by default in the finder;

    This folder DOES NOT EXIST. Where is my content going? HELP! I cannot get this to work on the Mac.

    Have you purchased at least 1 official DLC ? ( Normally Cherub Rock ) If not the folder does not exist.

    Yes, using dlcconverter.exe CLI. On "input" argument, use a directory for source files instead a file.

    Is there a Mac version to do this as well? (converting PC to MAC).
    Yes there is a Mac Version of the toolkit. Not sure about the differences but I know you can convert pc cdlc to work with a Mac.
