  1. Ummm. They all convert ac current to dc . Yours just does it externally. There are a lot of things that make noise come through as you increase gain and even the best amps suffer from this, but I suspect your issue is bigger than normal. I have a very good amp and it has a built in noise gate that kills the output if there is nothing coming in. But if I shut the noise gate off and crank up the drive it hums. I have a Roland Micro Cube as well and it's not horrible noise wise. Many things could be causing it, is there a TV on in the room? Nearby electronic noise will be amplified. Other electronic devices on that line, not just that plug but the entire section shared by that breaker. Bad ground for the house causing a float ? Or maybe it's a poorly designed amp. If it seems better on your friends try his amp at your house.

  2. Interestingly enough. The official DLC for Turn Up The Radio is shown as being tuned as Eb. I haven't tried it yet but the previous custom was in E standard but the pitch had to be adjusted. So, in order for them to do that they either adjusted the speed or pitch shifted the entire thing. If they did that, why didn't they just go with e standard?

  3. Paid for DLC through the Sony network were not transferable to pc. I know this since I owned nearly all of them. Then got the PC version. Actually I don't think I've turned the console version on since the pc version was released. No crashes, much faster loads and CDLC. I have no reason to go back to console. And my occasional crashes were I think temperature related on console as it would happen near the end of an event. But it doesn't matter why, it doesn't happen to me on PC.

  4. First guitar was a Peavey T-15, traded it in when I got a Westone Spectrum ( canary yellow black hardware Floyd Rose and left hand headstock) I miss the Westone ( sold it to bail a friend out of jail, should have let him sit there). Aria Pro II Magna M-35, hot pink and black splatter. Floyd, very light and just felt good. I miss that one. The tank a blue something or other that was huge heavy and $100 at a pawn shop. That guitar flat out growled, miss that one. I've had a few others but other than my first Hohner headless I don't miss them. Some of them were just great sounding and or felt right. Some ( the ones I don't miss) were just junk.

  5. There is a relatively new author thing available when creating CDLC. It embeds the authors name in the xml code. This was mainly done so we can tell is someone is reposting someone else's custom. I have signed some of mine in the lyrics others I have not.

  6. Because many charters, myself included are converting the audio at above CD quality ( in MP3 terms CD quality is 194 b/PS and mine never drop below 320 b/PS until the final conversion which comes in around 256, still CD quality). Comparing strictly the file sizes to a DLC we are including more/better audio quality, at least some of us are. And it's possible that the volume is turned up a bit so that may be some of it as well. I would go ahead and make them at 320 across the board but then they would be 11 to 15 megs each.
