im sad "No Output device detected"
Phantatsy replied to SourChonster's question in Rocksmith Remastered
Unsure why the CDLC patch would effect audio output, but can you tell me what you are trying to use for output? Speakers or headphones connected to your PC via aux? A usb device? -
When selecting the song, there should be alternate lead and alternate rhythm paths available below the mastery % and where you can select the bass path (without switching to bass fully).
-
The patch was updated Dec 23rd, and I don't see a reason it will need updated anymore than it already has. Looks to me like you didn't reinstall Rocksmith considering your files were created in 2023 and a fresh Steam installation would show them created recently.
-
Well, although it's not working right now, we do have a new version of the patcher coming soon. So I am hopeful it fixes this issue. I'll let you know when it drops. Edit: Can you try dropping the new .dll into your Rocksmith folder?
-
Looks to me like a software conflict. I would start with (re)installing DirectX 9 from: https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=8109

File requires access, you should be able to change the permissions/privacy of the file on Google Drive so I can download it.
-
Either upload it to Google drive or something, or you can join our discord and drop the file in #support
-
You can send me the most recent .mdmp file you have and I'll take a look at it for you.
-
If you got it to say it worked, can you verify there is a D3DX9_42.dll file inside your Rocksmith folder? Also, what is the size of your Rocksmith.exe file? I will discuss it with the developers to see if I can get a fix, but I am curious if deleting the exe from the folder and then running the cdlc patch would work. Haven't had a chance to test it yet, but was the first thing to come to mind.
-
It used to be the only thing you needed but that's not the case at this time. If you try to delete the Rocksmith.exe will it let you? I would like to get to the bottom of this problem as you are not the only one who is experiencing it.
-
It says it in their post...
-
Make sure you are using a non-beta or previous version code for the the game. If so, are you getting any .mdmp crash files in your Rocksmith folder?
-
Which file are you talking about? The D3DX9_42.dll? That is put there when you run the CDLC enabler. If it's not there after running it, then you're anti-virus probably blocked it.

Is there an archive for actual DLC songs no longer available?
Phantatsy replied to Excelsior24's question in Rocksmith Remastered
These songs are no longer available and can not be purchased or obtained. Your best options are to play along with a YouTube video or make the chart for yourself for personal use. Sharing and/or other methods of obtaining these songs are against the CF rules that can be found here. -
If you have the new version that was just put on Steam you need the latest CDLC patcher that we have available. Make sure you have a fresh install of the game and you may need to clear your browser's download cache as it will try and use the old one if you downloaded it before.

Rocksmith deleting itself - executable and core files
Phantatsy replied to zxcv4321's question in Rocksmith Remastered
The previous version you're referring to isn't needed, and hasn't been needed since about 2 weeks after that update happened. Our newest cdlc enabler and rsmods has been updated to fix issues that arose from the update. And I've never seen anyone have this issue of files being deleted. -
The short answer is no, and will be no for the foreseeable future. Thread Locked

Tuning issues: Rocksmith vs Reality
Phantatsy replied to benbeard's question in Rocksmith Remastered
As mentioned by Hikikomori, I would suggest using the in game tuner only for the initial tuning check when starting the game/switching tuning and then use a different tuner to make sure you're in tune. There are a few options like a tuner pedal. You can also use a VST plugin in a DAW if you are so inclined. I personally do this using REAPER since that is my recording DAW and is already in my signal chain for the game. -
We can't do this for you because our Discord server was compromised a couple weeks ago and we are still waiting on Discord support to help fix the issue. If we get the issue resolved I can look into it at that time, but not before.

To answer your question, both Rocksmith 2014 and Rocksmith 2014: Remastered are the same game as far as Steam cares. If you get the non-Remastered version, once you add the Steam key it will automatically update it to be Remastered. The only difference is the Remastered version comes with a set of 6 songs, upgrading from the non-Remastered version will not get you those songs. Buying the game is inherently risky because of the nature of 3rd party sellers. Just make sure whatever you purchase is a SEALED copy of the game as they come with Steam keys you can still redeem on Steam, you don't need a DVD drive to install the game. Before purchasing anything, make sure to do some research on who you're buying the game from to avoid scams like used keys or pirated copies burned to a disk and sold as legitimate copies. (I've seen this happen not too long ago) Best of luck to you, the game isn't cheap anymore.

Rocksmith deleting itself - executable and core files
Phantatsy replied to zxcv4321's question in Rocksmith Remastered
I'm not sure what you are talking about when it comes to "the RS+ launch that tried to disable it". Everyone I know runs the most up-to-date version and doesn't have a problem. I've also never heard of the game uninstalling itself or deleting it's own files without being instructed to do so. Sounds to me like something malicious is behind it and doesn't have to do with the game itself. -
how do i put custom songs on rocksmith 2011
Phantatsy replied to joeskee5's question in Rocksmith Remastered
I will reply to both of your posts in this one as I have removed the other one. First of all, there is no need to yell. Both Wwise links on the Ignition page and the old one for 2010.3.3 from Staintsrowmods work for me and others, so the problem is most likely local to you. I'd try using a different browser first. Second, the only way I know of is using the toolkit and converting all of the customs that way. The method is mentioned here. For future reference, this topic is not related to our Ignition4 Search page and since you already asked this question on the how to use CDLC page already, I am considering this post spam.- 1 reply

If you're using VoiceMeeter, then yes. You just need to add an additional hardware output (The A1, A2, etc at the top) and route it to the new one as well. For REAPER, if you're using ASIO then you can only use the currently selected hardware for output. However, you may be able to use the WASAPI drivers and do it that way. I haven't tested that way out using an actual interface, but it's how I got the RealTone cable to work with it before.

Without having me download some random avi file, can you describe the problem? Even better if you have a .mdmp file in your rocksmtih folder you can provide me.
