  1. @@albatross213 Hi, albatross Played The Rolling-Stones_Under-My-Thumb_v1_11 I liked the lead path sounded good on my set-up. On the Rhythm path I didn't care much for the Guitar tone, Too muffled sounding. Key and tuning sounds real close to me and sync is pretty good as far as I can tell. Will get to Ver. Rolling-Stones_Under-My-Thumb_v1_12 tomorrow. Later, Terry
  2. @@albatross213 Hi, albatross Yeah on under my thumb most chords sounded right but a few seemed out of key a bit. Guitar tone and songs volume level are pretty good, playing through my rocksmith set up. I will get to the other versions tomorrow and let you know what I think of your tuning changes. But I am no expert on judging different keys and tuning, but I have run into the same problem with some of my customs and just try to get them as close as I can. On MJ - Billie Jean, songs volume needs to be dropped a few notches, the musics volume level is really high playing through my rocksmith set up. Guitar tone is not bad kind of plain sounding, but keep searching for a better one. I have no idea what kind of effects the Guitarist is using, I haven't charted any MJ tunes. Later, Terry
  3. @@albatross213 Will give them a play-through this evening also, albatross213. Are both of those customs with or without DD? I would rather play the non DD versions, I have played someone else's ver. of MJ - Billie Jean long ago. Later, Terry
  4. Hi, Guys Just a note to let you guys know what I have been up to lately. I truly think I got the car fixed, no more coolant leaks detected, and I am pretty sure the head gasket isn't blown. It was pure hell out in the 100+ heat working on the nightmare. I have been having fun lately messing around with making Karaoke versions of some tunes, they are really helping me attempt to sing along with my guitar playing. Something I have always wanted to do but never had the guts to attempt it. Now I can not only butcher the Guitar playing, I can also butcher the vocal track with my singing . Later, Terry I put all the Customs I have been playin' around with at the - * Custom Preview Area
  5. Hi, Steve @@manchot66 I am really liking your new signature picture. Later, Terry
  6. Hi, Guys Happy to say we have a new Member joining us here in the Members Forum. JamesPrestonUK JamesPrestonUK looks like he is mainly a Bass player with 5 Bass Customs on CustomsForge. Welcome JamesPrestonUK to the Classic Rock Coalition Social Group - Members Area. @@JamesPrestonUK Later, avdocatwork We now have 88 Members and Guests at The Classic Rock Coalition Social Group. 18 Full Members and 70 Guests.
  7. Great Tunes Steve! Sorry to hear about your poor health. Lately I have been playing around with some Karaoke tunes that I have been putting together and having some fun just playing them and getting there chords and strumming patterns down. Also trying to sing along a bit, but that is pretty though for me to do, sing and play Guitar at the same time. But I figure I might get better at it with lots of practice (Hopefully). Later, Terry
  8. Hi I have been playing around with creating some Karaoke RockSmith Custom DLC's. Got three posted lately. Just do a CDLC search for Karaoke and they will show up. @@UKLooney has made a few also Later, avdocatwork
  9. Hi, Fripp @ Listened to the Billy Cobham's - Stratus tune. You sure are a brave one, taking on this challenging tune. Really like the funky groove after the long keyboard intro. And the lead Guitar is awesome, should be a great challenge for all Guitarists for sure. Later, Terry
  10. Hi, Guys Things are settling down here, still not finished with the car yet, I should get the last part in a few days then back into the heat and try to finish the wife's vehicle, hopefully. Have some time to play some Guitar again, will look back at everyone's latest customs and give them a try. I have some customs I have been working on lately, if anyone wants to give them a try. I have been playing around with putting together a Karaoke Version of The Beach Boys - Kokomo The Beach Boys (In The Style Of) - Kokomo - Karaoke Version - 1988 V1.0 -2 -29 -28.5 -28 -27.5 -26 The Beatles - And I Love Her - 1964 V4.0 -2 -33 -32 -31 -26 Updated all tracks and added arpeggios on lead track. The Beach Boys - California Girls - 1965 V4.0 -4 -29 -28.5 -28 -27.5 -26 Repaired the Bass Track I haven't even tried them out yet - will give them a run through tonight, hopefully. Also will test out everyone else's latest customs. Later, Terry
  11. Hi, Steve I located the last hose ass'y part I am going to try, at a pretty good price off eBay. If everything holds up after the replacement, I will be very happy. If something else go's wrong I will be very depressed again. Later, Terry
  12. Thanks, Guys I have been a nervous wreck all week, finally settling down and started to accept the fact of the car's most likely a lost cause, going to at least give it one last try, but I don't count on it holding up. No water in the oil, and there doesn't seem to be major pressure building up in the cooling system, that I can tell. Just one leak after another is blowing my mind. Later, avdocatwork
  13. Sorry, Guys I have been having really bad luck with my car, took most of last week off using all my vacation days and tried my hardest to fix it, but no luck, it is repeatedly blowing hoses and coolant fittings, I'm afraid it has a blown head gasket, and working out in the 100+ heat is really wearing me out. @@jbroch, So sorry to see you in a cast Jerry. My arms and knuckles are all scratched up from working on my hopeless vehicle, so much going on around here, I haven't been able to take it easy and play Guitar for over a week now. 14. Well, manchot66 I disagree, all this charting stuff to me is just making the custom to sound good and be able to strum the Guitar and play along with the tune. If all this technical stuff starts getting involved, with correct bpm and lining up all the beat markers and all the other many things that professorial musicians expect to see they should only play the UbiSoft RockSmith DLC. I feel I don't see anything better in there stuff than we are charting here for everybody free ! Later, avdocatwork
  15. Hi, All Same here, I have just been watching the Crash Course today, looks like some of the guys are starting to catch on to the syncing the tracks. I tried a few times to sync the Beat markers but all the songs I have run into do not seem to have prominent beats showing up in the wave graphs. I just started syncing the old way I have always synced them. I plan to keep trying it though. Later, avdocatwork
  16. Hi, Guys Sorry I haven't been testing customs lately, I have been fighting with my PC getting a SoundBlaster sound card installed in my pc and finally got it in and working still trying to figure out some of the settings. I did get a Mic. working on it, but I will most likely have to take the sound card out, I now have a Guitar delay when I am playing RockSmith, I tried to play the latest 6 tunes up for testing last night, the delay was so bad I had to give up playing. Hopefully I can straighten the problems out this weekend. Later, Terry We had 4 more Guests join The CRC-Social Group today now up to 77 Members and Guests.
  17. Hi, manchot66 I'm glad you stopped by this page. I have been meaning to ask you if you would help out with the Crash Course in Charting Customs. And walk us all through the way you import the Guitar Pro Guitar paths after you sync the BPM. I have tried to do it a few times and had no luck in getting it right. The following is how you explained it a while back, to refresh your memory. Syncing in EOF by @@manchot66 : In my opinion, a properly synced tab from the get go, will save you immeasurable time down the line. I sync all my tabs in EoF. Here's how I do it: 1) Hit F5 to bring up the waveform graph 2) Click Beat > BPM change, and enter the bpm listed in your tab. Or you can click Beat > Estimate BPM and enter that amount on your first marker. I usually start with whatever is on the tab, because EoF may say the bpm is 120, but the author of the tab did it in half-time 60 bpm. 3) Line up your first note on your GP tab with wherever it is in EoF. If the guitar doesn't start until the 3rd bar, then line it up so it is on the third bar in EoF. (a bar is however many beats are expressed in the time, i.e. a bar in 4/4 time will be 4 beats, 3/4 is 3 beats, etc.) 4) Then line up all the next beats. I usually use the drum beat to line up the beats. Drums in rock will usually fall on the 1st and 3rd beats or the 2nd and 4th beats of a bar, sometimes all four beats, sometimes in between beats. But it's usually relatively obvious. Use the waveform graph to try and find the crests/spikes in the wave from the drum beat and drag your beat marker there. Just keep repeating. On a song with a really accurate rhyhtm, you might only have to line up every 8th beat and the others will fall right in line. Some songs might need every second beat lined up because the beat is kind of messy. You can hit 'm' for the metronome which will add a click on every spot you have a beat; you can get a feel from this to see it you're on the right track. 5) With many songs, the bpm will change in a song during a bridge, interlude, etc. You can click on Beat > BPM change and enter a new bpm, or if that section is not too long, wing it until you get back to your original bpm. 6) Once you have all your beats lined up, now you can import your GP5 tab. All the notes will fall exactly where they're supposed to be if the tab is correct. 7) I also suggest locking your tempo map once your beats are synced so you don't accidentally drag a marker half way across the screen. Click Song > Lock tempo map I've also used GoPlayAlong and it cuts down on time and guessing, but it places the beat marker at the crest of the wave rather than where the trough begins to rise into the wave, probably a matter of 1/16 to 1/8 of a second and it wont be noticeable. I'm an asshole and I don't like looking at the beat marker in the middle of the wave, and that's the reason I do it in EoF. Usually doesn't take more than five to ten minutes to sync up a song once you get the hang of it. 18. Hi, Guys On June 19, I set up a live voice chat link here at The CRC-SG just to test and play around with. Took it down until I could get my audio and Mic. setup going. Well ran across CustomsForge has just setup a voice chat and are testing it now. I finally got the Sound Blaster Audio card installed and am setting it up now. Will try out there voice chat soon. I did see that Bornwild had loaded it up, and it worked. Later, Terry

Any Classic Rock Coalition Guests that want to Quickly learn to chart Custom DLC's, and become a Magna Charter, this is your chance. I have a few members and Guests that want to learn to chart customs, so I have volunteered to give a crash course in the way I chart tunes, along with info on all the short cuts to make charting Custom DLC's easier and quicker. I plan to start in a day or two, around July 8th or 9th, 2015. The crash course will be at your own pace and by CustomsForge Group Message Max of 20, 16 spots available. Later, avdocatwork
  20. Hi, Guys I had pretty good results with the Beach Boys tunes on customsForge even have some people interested and giving a little feedback, I did through in the tune Fun, Fun, Fun that I didn't post on the members forum, I am sure everybody is getting a bit tired of the Beach Boys, I know I am. I have started on my fairly large repair list, that I have been putting off for way too long. And most of the fix's are the Bass paths, all these Bass players on CustomsForge are bound and determined to make me a proficient Bass Player for sure. I can only pick the Bass (With a Guitar pick of course). I admire you guys that pluck through the tunes with the fingers flying. With some practice some day I might be able to figure out how to do that. The guys that pluck the 6 string Guitars with alternate fingers, well that's plenty difficult for me, I have attempted it plenty of times, but pretty much do a lousy job at it. When I release the fixed tunes on CustomsForge I plan to through in a few new ones by the same bands to maybe get some people interested in playin' the tunes. Later, Terry
  21. Likewise, Jerry. I don't know what it's like by you guys, but the personal firework stashes people have around here are crazy. It's no longer bottle rockets and jumping jacks. Now, it's 6" mortars and 4" salutes and it's solid from noon til 2 a.m. Let the bombardment begin! Just now got my ass in gear and heading out to the neighborhood pool, but taking my laptop and guitar, and all the charted tunes by the CRC with me, I'm just a few beers away from being a Rock Star, in my own mind. Happy 4th ! 23. Hi, Steve I bet the tune looks simple on paper (Tabs and sheet music), but when it comes down to playing it, it sure seemed tricky to me to get going on it, I am pretty sure I was nowhere close to getting the hang of the strumming pattern. Like you I could hear it in my mind, but I couldn't get the fret hand moving right, much less the strumming rolling. I defiantly need to give it quite a few more play throughs, to start to pick up the feel of the tune. Later, Terry
  24. Hi, Steve I see your point and agree, I guess I am easily freaked out by changes from the norm. Later, Terry
  25. Hi, Crossbolt No offence intended, but anything out of the norm. freaks me out, 2.0, I think is the normal speed. Later, avdocatwork
