been out with a twisted back, so thought i'd start off a little lower.  the way i'm playing i may not get my level, but at least i can hold the guitar in my lap now

has anyone had any issues with the bass joachim duetchland (sp) song?  i don't know if it's my tuning or what but it seems every time i move from g5 back to g3 is fails to recognize, but if i move up from g1 theres no problem.   just curious.  like i said i've been out a bit so it's highly likely me.

  2. this household too lost a father in law to cancer this past easter sunday, so my feelings go out to those still fighting. do what you can and enjoy the time your given.

i just made another donation the other day, but think i'll shoot another in tonight for the fighters out there.  may not be a whole bunch but I'll add what i can.

looking at this makes me curious.  when my profile was corrupted last year (thank you werewolves of london, i really liked that song too) would that have changed anything besides the current play status of the songs?  it looks like the milestones are there from oct of '13 when i got the game.   it just seems like i would have more hours racked up by now.   apparently i need to get busy

  4. thanks punchyrumble, i'll try to remember to check back to make sure.  i agree with the pink helmut switch up.  i found helmut easier to get through, pink on the other hand i'm having to work on.  i really look forward to the day when my fingers go where i tell them, or maybe i know where to tell them quicker.

  5. i know i'm older than most on this site but please tell me i'm not senile already.  when i got the list of songs saturday i would swear that bass went from easiest to hardest: Pink, Helmet, Protest, Fishbone.   usually once i get the list i don't check back until i'm ready to post a score.  is this something i should be doing more frequently, or is there a certain day that things are pretty well set?

  6. I'm just curious, but do most people in the championship play back through system speakers, amps, or headsets/earbuds?

I use the earbuds myself because i don't have a good place to practice without bothering the rest of the household, but i really like the sound out of the speakers when i can.

  7. "rodman - arent we one great bunch of grandpa and ´mas..."

thats why i like the championship, it makes me play stuff i wouldn't normally look at, and if i turn it up like the kiddos, i don't need me hearing aids ;)

actually if i can get to a point where i'm playing on your level, i'll be happy.  who am i kidding, i'm happy now when i'm playing, just always looking for that little bit extra

    btw happy birthday rodman

you people are kililng me.  after several tries of still not getting a clean beginner level, i tried the others and after passing the int level thought i'd really work on the master to test myself.  after finding i can't make that yet, i look at the list again and lo and behold i'm trying heritic instead of dt.  doesn't really matter judging by my talent.   i still can't believe pink is kicking my butt while i can get helmet. go figure....  thanks anyway for making me play songs i may have never looked at.   spend enough time here and my horizon will soon be as broad as my belly

  9. I rolled 50 last year, and unlike so many of you had no experience until coming across RS in 2013.  I'd always thought it would be fun to play, but as we had moved multiple times over the years, finding teachers was difficult.  when i got RS i put in the 1-2 hours a day for about six months and then summer hit and my time waned.  but i was pleasantly surprised when i started hitting it more regular how much i had improved.  now i've reached the point where i can really start to see improvement, especially thanks to the championship.  before i would bounce from song to song and it helped with muscle memory and note recognition, but not song retention.  now when i'm focusing on a song, especially after a few tries, i really see improvement.   i'm doubly excited as this weekend i was able to get my first personal cdlc to work, so now i have to find time to play and create....hmmm

  10. perhaps you could view the extra button clicks as warm up for the next rocksmith session... :D

on your first point, i must have my settings different as i get the new postings first and bolded which is nice, although i agree the bolding(sp?) could be stronger or something.

as far as the search goes, i really can't comment as i tend to check ignition frequently to see what's new.  it's kind of my release when i get home from work to open up and see what new wonders someone has shared with those of us that don't have time or talent (me) to do it themselves.

all i can say is thanks to all involved, regardless of irregularities, i still really appreciate everything done here.

  11. thanks for the info milkmandan.  i've wondered about that before, but i've never found enough time to try charting my own stuff, otherwise i might have come across that.  seems odd that i can play the beginner and advanced but the intermediate is kicking my butt.  just can't get into the song i guess.  i'll be watching to see what is next.    also a huge thank you to all the charters and the people involved in the contest.  i really appreciate the work you do to make this such a marvelous site.  i just wish i was progressing faster, but i know i need more time on the strings to do that.  that's why i appreciate all the work everyone here puts in to make my time so much more enjoyable.
