  1. You're probably better off adding FHPs to the beginning position of notes. The FHPs that are generated automatically for your example looks like this:

    2%20anchors_zpso37283dm.jpg

    And the resulting XML shows that the width on the second FHP was set to 5 to accommodate the Amin7 chord requiring that width:

          <anchors count="2">
            <anchor time="0.500" fret="4" width="4.000"/>
            <anchor time="1.000" fret="3" width="5.000"/>
          </anchors>
    One option to get the 4 fret width for the open chord is to place an additional FHP at the wide chord:

    3%20anchors_zps0ot042fc.jpg

    And this allows the open chord to get the normal width of 4 frets:

          <anchors count="3">
            <anchor time="0.500" fret="4" width="4.000"/>
            <anchor time="1.000" fret="3" width="4.000"/>
            <anchor time="1.500" fret="3" width="5.000"/>
          </anchors>
    You could also delete the FHP that was placed at the open chord and place it at the wide chord instead:

    2%20anchors-2_zpsiblqglhq.jpg

    This results in the first FHP covering the first chord and the open chord instead of having one for each:

          <anchors count="2">
            <anchor time="0.500" fret="4" width="4.000"/>
            <anchor time="1.500" fret="3" width="5.000"/>
          </anchors>

    Oh thank you I will definetly try this out! My only question is how can I put fhps to notes/chords to be there precisely?

  2. You can re-generate FHPs and then just manually add more FHPs to get the desired effect for open chords.

    Problem is I already tried that,otherwise I wouldn't wrote this topic.And it doesn't matter if I re-generate all the fhps and then add just a few more most of the chords are still have thise issue.

    Btw,does the chords displays depends on how close I add a fhp to them??

    e.g:If I add a fhp to the desired chord's very beginning or to the previous chord's end

  3. If you didn't change those variables in eof.cfg from their default 0 value, that won't be part of the problem. In order to change the chart so that chord windows don't go over 4 frets you will need to either manually correct the fret hand positions you added or have EOF regenerate them. You can also just delete the fret hand positions and let EOF add them automatically when you save the project. The best way to avoid fret hand position problems is to only add them after all notes and chords have been authored. If you change the tablature content after adding the fret hand positions, changes to the positions may become necessary.

    And how can I correct the phps manually? The main reason why I generate fhps is because the open power chords are not displayd on those frets where I want them to display.

      Deleting the fhps and let EOF to handle it is not going to solve the problem, because then I have open chords that will displays on unwanted frets.

  4. That is determined by the "width" of the active fret hand position. By default, EOF will generate fret hand positions that reflect the player only being able to play a range of 4 frets without moving his/her fretting hand. If eof_5_fret_range or eof_6_fret_range are edited in eof.cfg (to indicate which frets on the guitar neck begin being small enough for the player to reach 5 or 6 frets at a time, respectively), chord windows could become 5 or 6 frets wide. Otherwise this would only happen if fret hand positions are permanently added to an arrangement (generated while not saving, or manually defined) and EOF is forced to make the chord window width large enough to display all chords in the scope of each defined fret hand position.

    And can I manually edit it or I can't? Also, what would happen if I modify the "eof_5_fret_range or eof_6_fret_range"  in eof.cfg?

  5. I didn't realy cared or knew about this thing before, but in my recent custom I realised it and have no clue to how is this even working.

    Qustion:  How can I set the range of chords or handshapes in EOF??

    e.g:in the first picture the open D5 chord appers in 4 frets and in the second it appers in 5 or 6 frets

  6. Sorry if this has been discussed before but I couldn't figure it out myself.

    My question is can I use the "CFSM" program to fix only specific CDLCs??

    I know that it is meant to fix your "dlc" folder and I already did it,but since then,I've downloaded some new CDLCs and I'm not sure if they don't have the 100% bug on them.

    Also, if I generate my (e.g:new song for Rocksmith) will that have the issue as before or there was an update for RSToolKit to handle this ?

    Thanks!

  7. I think the issue is that chord's fingering defines the use of the index finger (numbered as 1) for both fret 5 and fret 8, which doesn't make sense. EOF doesn't check for this kind of conflict, but it warns that the fret hand position isn't at fret 8 when it sees the index finger is defined to be at that fret for this chord.

    What are the connection with the frethand positions and with the finger positions?

  8. Well,I didn't realy had this message before, so of course I don't know what eof is tring to warn me about.

    the message:

    http://www.kepfeltoltes.hu/161101/Screenshot_2016-11-01_17.08.57_www.kepfeltoltes.hu_.png

    I'm also confused about the "index finger " part.

    Is this about the finger positions to wich finger is going to wich fret anyway??

    I just can' figure it out

    the chord finger position:

  9. Just add sections and pharses  (intro,verse,chorus etc.) with "Shift+s" where whould be a section change and add fret hand positions to the guitar/bass part "Track->Rocksmith->Fret Hand Positions->List->Generate". If you see weird thing e.g: the first 2 open chords appers on the 7th fret and the rest is on the 2 or 3th fret then you should set the position manually while using the "set" option inside Fret Hand Positions and set the fret number.

  10. @@ShrillBear52 it's a sneaky thing here, DDC when creating DD put back all section start to the first beat of the measure (not sure what was the reason behind it but that's how it is) but your section aren't on the first beat of the measure so EOF doesn't have any issue but when going through DDC, there is.

    But as long as the beat map is off (and it is!) it doesn't matter cause you will always have lots of issue to get things to display correctly all the time.

    The first beat of the measure should be on the first note but in your case, the first note is 1 beat and little more behind the first beat :

    http://i.imgur.com/OaBMm7v.png

    as long as you don't fix this, it doesn't matter what you try to do, the CDLC will have issue with DDC.

    Oh,I will be honest, I didn't know that you meant for this as an issue. (I'm ashamed my self again) thank you!!

      I deleted the extra beats at the begenning and as I saw the chord issues are solved.

    The only remaining issue is with the 9th note on the g string.For some reason RS doesn'r handle it as a note with a "link to next" endabeld on it. It shows them as 2 seperate note.

  11. Maybe you did it, but you clearly did it wrong and the issue you are talking about are clearly because the note cross a section.

    I check and there shouln't be notes that cross into another section, but just as a curiosity where did you was notes/chords that cross into another section? (btw, if  there is then EOF why doesn't warn me about it?)

  12. @@ShrillBear52,

      Your CDLC is divided in sections (intro, verse, chorus, ..., outro) and each section is divided in phrases (two or more measures).

      When you add the sections in EOF, you need to take care about the notes just before and after the section change.

      For example, if you have two linked notes, one before and the other after the section change, they will be separated in the game in case of DD usage.

      It is the same with the "highdensity" status of the chords. A chord is always setted as low density when it is the first one of a section.

      About the phrases, the rules are the same. If you have not created the phrases yourself in EOF, DDC will create them automatically by using the "phrase length parameter".

      It is always better to create the phrases in EOF, so you can define for DDC the groups of adjacent measures that have a repeating pattern of notes.

      In RS2014, you can select the sections in the Riff Repeater. The phrases are displayed as boxes which leveled up or down depending on your playing skills.

      So, as I said in my preceding post, the two first issues are related to the sections and phrases changes.

      About the synchronizing process in EOF :

      - You move the first measure to synchronize the rhythm markers with the beginning of the soundtrack.

      - You also need to synchronize the following measures all along the track, if they are not correctly synchronized.

        You have to do this from the beginning until the end.

        Importing notes on the arrangement can help you to synchronize the measures, but you only have to move the measures (never move the notes, they will follow the measures moves).

    I know that I have to make pharses because sections by themself are not enough.

      What I did in the project is added the intro sections 5 times (with the "also add as rs pharse" option checkd) and 4 sections from those were only appering in the "Lead" part,the last one is for all arangements.I did this procedure until the end of the song as adding a newer section maybe after a 20 seconds.

    I understand that notes are should not be in 2 sections at the same time,but I'm afarid that that is not the cause of problem in my case.I check multiple times the notes/chords and none of them were in 2 sections(not sure about if I had this issue in the eg:"lead" part if that will affect the other "rhythm" and "bass" part too). But I will double check it agan just to be sure.

    And the way you described how to synchronizing is mostly what I always do:

    -set the correct tempo

    -set time signature

    -move the measure ( I mean the fist beat) to where the notes will or should apper

        and most of the time they are not well synchronized so of coure I have to do it more time until I feel and hear that is spot on with the Wavegraphs.

    I never move notes,only the measures if that's what you mean.

  13. To return to the sync part: I don't know what else I'm suppose to do as fixing. I've used the metronome option and the beats sounded good ( at least that was what I hear).

    And if I remember correctly (but correct me if i'm wrong)  I used GetTheLedOut's method to do the sync part, but I think I missd something what I can't figure it out.

  14. I have had many problems with bends on double stops.  Can you post a pic of the EoF i.e. normal view in EoF and tech view in EoF of the same notes?

    Also, I often make new sections not on the main beat.  But my priority is camera angle for non-DD songs, so I guess it does not relate to the problem here really...

    There is two double stops wich has problem:

    this one has wrong endings on the b and g string

    http://www.kepfeltoltes.hu/160929/Screenshot_2016-09-29_20.51.33_www.kepfeltoltes.hu_.png

    and this one (not sure about it) has the lot of pre-bend stuff

    (see the RS pics. on the topic above)
