  1. Not enjoying this at all  I know sometimes i'm muting high e with my hand, but even playing at 20% when i make a concious effort to not mute, Rocksmith still misses it.....grrr. Even the strummy chord sections give me heaps of misses. This to maintain diehard status only. I'm going back to fine tune "Smells like teen spirit" http://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/s/ptdwsrm2zixu76v/221680_2015-04-16_00001.png?dl=0
  2. Sorry man, i had little time to practice early in the week and when i did i thought i had no hope of catching you. It wasn't til the kids went to bed that i had time to knuckle down and RR a few of tricky sections. I surprised myself! I'm in a world of Hurt trying to play this weeks tune though.......
  3. For the lead!! My 6yo daughter is loving this song! Kept getting random misses on the mutes. Played them at full noise and gained a few percent.....doesn't sound right but if it gets the points..... http://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/s/ql9ivh0k3e7dqsp/221680_2015-04-11_00004.png?dl=0
  4. Hmmm....maybe i need to be drunk to play this! http://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/s/fj9wu43n9axf30u/221680_2015-04-06_00002.png?dl=0
  5. Similar to Rodman: Guitar thru ABY splitter to PC & Fender Mustang amp PC sound (guitar sound set to 0) through Logitech 2.1 speakers. IMO, Rocksmith masks your guitar sound too much. Playing through an amp really highlights where you need to improve (everywhere in my case  )
  6. Been having a red hot crack at this awesome song but just can't quite nail it. Still, very happy with how it's sounding through the amp. I can crank it up and have it sound half respectable http://www.sherv.net/cm/emoticons/hand-gestures/devils-horn-smiley-emoticon.gif http://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/s/5egvodn2l3id6ad/221680_2015-04-04_00002.png?dl=0
  7. Goal reached! Bit more left in it yet though. http://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/s/qobuzi2sc6v3tbt/221680_2015-03-31_00001.png?dl=0
  8. Need to hit the chord changes a little cleaner and get the solo down a little better but mid 90's should be doable. http://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/s/pele0gzktkqzbnv/221680_2015-03-30_00001.png?dl=0
  9. Arrrh! the Fooies are still kickin' my arse! I can manage OK at 90-95% speed and get 90+% accuracy but at full speed i go all unco....it's just too fast for my 40yo brain to comprehend. http://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/s/p64efmojg4n30ja/221680_2015-03-25_00001.png?dl=0
  10. Nearly got the main riff down at 80% speed. At 100%, my fingers disconnect from my brain....... http://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/s/hn1826qpkc1zq6x/221680_2015-03-22_00002.png?dl=0
  11. Cannot see the pic! Can you post a link, i would be very interested! I myself think that technical weak playing is pretty disguised in the RS sound mix, and we all know you can get a real high acc. with real bad timing too. So - i tend to play with the guit level set to 100, the "music" to 60, still going to the amp regularly unearthes a rather awful truth -_- So - playing through the amp would spare me the step plus take away the (rest)delay. - Do you have the guitar music muted to 0% in Mixer? Is this working out to your full satisfaction? Still considering getting behind the very sophisticated, extremely good looking setup @ is using, but the easier, the better. - So you use your standard amp tone for all songs? Dunno why pic isn't showing. Anyhow, here is the link: http://www.radialeng.com/bigshotaby.php Yep, guitar volume is set to 0 in mixer. Works great in my opinion. Amp is a Fender Mustang which has 24 preset tones so i can normally get pretty close to desired tone with minimal fuss. If it's a very unique tone, i'll turn the amp off and reset guitar volume to 100% in Rocksmith.
  12. And for anyone playing through an amp in parallel with Rocksmith, i can highly recommend one of these bad boys: http://www.radialeng.com/images/bigshotaby/bigshotaby-top-lrg.jpg The ISO switch for output B enables an isolation transformer which removes all unwanted noise from the signal by eliminating the ground loop between PC and amp. The result appears to be less 'random' misses, plus no hum through the amp when not playing. Whether it improves my scores is yet to be seen.....
  13. A little better.... http://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/s/vq4weqs066gizv0/221680_2015-03-16_00001.png?dl=0
  14. This Babymetal song is just plain weird! The 92.9% was at 80% speed, so if i can better that at full speed i'll be happy. http://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/s/imx32s814mye2p8/221680_2015-03-15_00002.png?dl=0
  15. Good song for fret hand stamina and timing......unfortunately I have neither! http://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/s/36dlcab70xkp3ub/221680_2015-03-12_00001.png?dl=0
  16. First decent playthrough after a bit of RR. Man i suck at those bends in the solo! http://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/s/t8d2agls54hu9wu/221680_2015-03-11_00001.png?dl=0
  17. This is it for me this week. Long weekend here so going camping. http://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/s/5fxivi3as5tgldq/221680_2015-03-06_00002.png?dl=0
  18. Struggling for time this week. Also seems i am struggling for skill........ The 77.4% was @ 80% speed. If i can hit this @ 100% i'll be happy. http://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/s/4jmbbrwp446nmk5/221680_2015-03-05_00001.png?dl=0
  19. Wow  looks like i have a lot of work to do here......challenge accepted! http://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/s/gs2uhaelwdbz6da/221680_2015-03-01_00001.png?dl=0
  20. OK....so i suspect i have found the issue with the random note ghost. I've been playing with an amp in parallel with rocksmith for the past few months. I am using a simple 'Y' adapter at the amp to split the signal to both amp and PC. Usually i have the guitar volume in rocksmith set to 0 so all i hear from the PC is the music - guitar comes straight through the amp. Rocksmith cannot mask my shitty playing this way. However, tonight I turned the guitar volume up in rocksmith and discovered a heap of 'noise' on the signal. Once i plugged the guitar directly into the PC, the noise stopped. This is a result of the first run after these findings: http://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/s/6aitr021ky53iux/221680_2015-02-28_00002.png?dl=0 I also found the tuning of the E string critical. All of my random misses were on this string. Different finger pressures didn't seem to matter. Anyhow, fair to say the remaining 3% is pilot error. After 50 something plays i think i've peaked  I think i need something like this to isolate the ground loop: http://www.musoscorner.com.au/site/index.cfm?module=STORETIGERV2&pagemode=search&keyword=Radial+Big+Shot+ABY+Amp+Switcher+Pedal&store_search_name=Radial+Big+Shot+ABY+Amp+Switcher+Pedal&store_search_id=216575&store_search_my_order=1&store_search_type=Products&hidden_type=Products&hidden_type_id=216575#description
  21. I've played Alt-j about 20 times since my last posted score but can't get within 2% of it now . F@#k you Rocksmith and your random misses! .......Of course there's every chance it could be the guy playing causing these 'random' misses
  22. Bring on the nineties! http://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/s/0qrghckdqzj4xia/221680_2015-02-22_00002.png?dl=0
  23. Sorry @@franfit. I had Alt-j penciled in as advanced when I added it to the SSL. Looks like i was overruled.
  24. First try today after a runthrough in RR @ 80% speed. Need to work on my chord change speed though......by the time i've got fingers in the right places, there's only a couple of strums left. http://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/s/f5b9e1e0ohbt1q4/221680_2015-02-22_00001.png?dl=0
  25. Still lots of random misses on the power chords. I know i'm playing it better than the score reflects but anyhow.......this is it for the week. http://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/s/0582fis2gj1gfyb/221680_2015-02-21_00001.png?dl=0
