  1. Heyo all! After a long time, I'm coming back to RS2014 and CDLCs. I've got no trouble downloading CDLCs, but I'd like to know if there's a WAY to display a list all the tracks I've put in my collection in the past? So far, I can intuitively get only artists I've liked or preferred or whatever it's called, but I don't see how I can display only the tracks I've collected before. I figured, I'll ask. And here I am ^^ Thanks in advance Edit: Oh! And BTW, when I tried to launch the CDLCEnabler, it wouldn't launch on my computer. Double click, nada. Also, monitoring the task manager, it just opens and closes, only a fraction of a second. I downloaded the dll and got the CDLCs to work, but just so you know, on some PCs it doesn't seem to work.
  2. Hey guys, I'm often lurking in the shadows, but today found the stregth (omg that was so hard) to post an actual thank you note for Ignition, and also everything else on this platform -e.g. the toolkit, the song manager, the active community, everything. Ignition is dope. I gotta say, it's way easier to find what you're looking for. The thing is, I only have one trouble as of right now - ignition never notifies me when updates are available. I remember a while back, there was this notification thing in the upper right corner (if my memories are indeed correct). If I clicked on that, the listing cleared and showed only he tracks in my collection that had been updated since my last visit. I miss that, I don't know why it doesn't work anymore (on my computer at least, maybe this is a user-specific bug or something, and most people still get these, I don't know), but that was very usefull. Anyways, thank all of you for the amazing work, making our lives easier and our RS sessions a lot funnier and shit, so yeah, kudos to you guys you rock. Edit: oh yeah, I was meaning to ask if anyone could help me with this. I was hoping to filter songs in a way that only titles with a specific set of instruments would show up. In my case, I wish to show ONLY the titles with BASS as the only track available. There are alot of those, and mostly good stuff, so I was wondering if there was a trick available for that, which would make it easier I guess. Thanks! :)
  3. Thanks I was getting desperate. I'm working on a project right now, I'll try to make CDLCs for bass players, got my hand on a nice book.
  4. Hi there, I don't know if it's the right place to ask this. Lately, I've been playing a lot of tracks on my bass with RS2014, and it turns out I like playing latin songs more and more each time. Thing is, it's not the type of music I usually listen to, and so my knowledge of artists and songs is quite limited. I've been playing mostly Santana songs, but I wonder if anyone could help me find other tracks to play in the CDLC database - since there is no 'genre' research available, I'm quite stuck here. I know it has nothing to do with Rocksmith but I'm also a trombone player and I'd love to practice bass (and trombone, but that's something I'll have to do on my own) in such styles - salsa, chacha, etc. - to eventually get into a band that would play this kind of music. The bass lines in these styles are quite rich, compared to those in rock music (in my opinion), and yet not as difficult to play as funk or disco lines (damn you slap&pop). Could you guys head me to a few more artists to expand and diverse my playlist? Cheers!
  5. Thanks for the feedback guys. I've just started playing bass. I've played guitar for about 15 years now, with tabs and friends (never took a class, always for fun, so I'm not a 'shredder', just playing the tunes I like). And as I said, I just picked up playing the bass. What struck me in RS is that there is no "carreer mode", which means one tends to go and play the songs they like, instead of playing according to their own limitations (which can be frustrating). I'd love for RS to have a "Play this one next" option, where it would automaticly suggest a track (or a list of tracks) depending on how well you've done so far (i.e. if you played a song with a certain difficulty, it can suggest you to play the song X because it's a little harder to play or to play song Y cause it has the same benefits but is a little easier, so that you don't get frustrated to play something too hard for you). What I mean is that there should be kind of a way to know what your next track SHOULD be if you want to improve more efficiently (it's late and I'm not sure of being clear, hence the paraphrasing). But maybe it already exists and I'm just not aware of how to do it, so if that's the case, please let me know!
  6. Hello there. This is my first post. I've been lurking around, gladly playing CDLCs from you guys and for that I ought to thank you. So here it is, thanks to everyone that makes CDLCs, thanks to all the people trying these CDLCs and making the community what it is today. My question is this one: What is your routine? Let me explain. Here is this new track you've been wanting to try out/practice the hell out of. You download the file, and launch Rocksmith. How do YOU do to get to 100%? Do you do it once, just to see where the difficult parts are, and then do it again and again? Or do you do it once and then practice every bit that's difficult for you? Do you go straight to Score Attack after that? Or do you just play it in Learn A Song endlessly? Do you stick to a song until you've come to 100%, or do you do one song once then another one, then another one, etc.? How do you practice your songs? I guess the answer is pretty obvious, but in my case, I've played the song once, and then once again, and then once more, and sometimes I'm stuck to 95%. Then I go into riff repeat mode, and try to aim higher. But that might not be the proper way to practice the song. Also, sometimes, half the song is in master mode, and then I get to the tricky part, and I get to play one note every other note just cause I didn't get to the full difficulty of the riff. Also, in Riff Repeater, what is your methodology? do you go at full speed and then increase difficulty as you practice, or do you set to a specific speed at maximum difficulty and then practice to get to full speed? I guess my questions are a little confusing, it's just that I'm not sure I've got the best methodology and I'd like to know what works best for other people so that I can try it out and work a little more efficiently. Anyways, thanks!
