  1. Small improvement, might be able to do 95%+ if it goes well but that'll be my limit for now

    Amazing scores!! Are the quick stretchy chords the hardest part for you too?

    @ BubbleWrapDragon   - yeah, c´mon start charting some of your fav tunes that are missing in ignition! It´s fun and makes the CS better!
    Are you any good in creating tabs by ear?

    I don't know if I'll be any good at it, but I want it to be a major part of my musical journey 😊
    I'll start making a Spotify playlist and adding songs I might want to transcribe

  3. Happy new RSC week!

    For practice, I transcribed the beginner song this morning in Guitar Pro and was able to make a CDLC out of it without many issues with firekorn's guide 👍
    For the future, I should probably start finding songs that are not on CF yet so it makes sense to create a v1 and upload it too 😊

    Onto the scores:

    None of the songs hooked me this week, so I'm not sure what I'm going to do, maybe just riff repeating the harder rhythm songs to learn some new chord shapes without trying to get a good score or something

    @ BubbleWrapDragon  yea definatley give it a go! i find it really fun to do and theres plenty of active people on discord that can help you out if you run into problems (i could try to help aswell if you mean transcribing into a cdlc)

    i find fret handing can eat up some time cause theres so many ways to play a riff (which is why i do alt paths) aka
    you can either do it how the artist plays it..efficiently..fun..complicated..mixed...etc
    and since everyone has different experiences maybe some people prefer shifting accross the neck instead of staying same position through out..

    anyways, try leaving a comment on the cdlc page as sometimes they revisit the cdlc.

    Thank you for the information! Just being able to tab a song completely would be my priority first. I tried a couple of times, but I always ended up choosing songs that were too difficult/time-consuming for a beginner and didn't finish it 😂

    I improved with ear training a bit since then and right now I also put my focus on learning to compose.

    Is it a tedious process going from a Guitar Pro transcription to a cdlc? I understand that setting the hand placement/fingering, the viewport, and probably more tasks that need to be done are very important of course, I just wonder how complex it is when the transcription is done already.

    For this week's Taylor Swift song would you say it's more like 5-10 minutes or an hour+ of work for each path starting from the finished transcription?

  5. Another thing I noticed about the chart
    Why would I move my hands that much in the charted part? 🤔

    Instead of using the 'C'/3 on the A string I can simply use 'C'/8 on the 'E' string and do the scale from there, the following chords nicely line up as well

    ?imw=5000&imh=5000&ima=fit&impolicy=Lett

    This makes me want to learn to transcribe songs, I might give next week's beginner song a try and learn by comparing my results with the charts 😅

  6. I just noticed by playing A new Saga Begins on Lead very slowly that the harmonics part are different notes compared to the chart
    I think it should be this
    [harm.]
    e============7=====
    B=12======7========
    G===12==========7==
    D=====12===========
    A==================
    E==================

    Also compared to the charted one I'd pick this regularly

    But now I'm not sure if I want to keep playing the song in Rocksmith if that part is wrong 😭

    @ BubbleWrapDragon Yea.. My bad xD i missread for somereason i thought you were talking about bass but there was no mcbonus song for bass.

    regardless of the path i still think if a lower class does 97s or higher on a higherclass they should probably be promoted if they want to..or atleast they will be moved soon if they keep playing good in their class weeks.

    For Rodman's Rankings, I think one already gets points for a top4 placement, even if they are in a lower class, but I also think someone in a lower class should be able to win a week as well if they get the best score, shouldn't they? 😅
    And I think being able to hit 99/99.5% on a higher-class song should still be the requirement, sooner or later they'd probably get 99%+ on their class rank-up song as well and 97% can be easier sometimes than 99%+ on a lower-class song

    Pretty impressive youve only been playing for 2 years grats! hope you keep pushing yourself to become better.

    Thank you, I'll keep putting in the work and hope I can become as experienced as y'all someday😁

    And speaking of Bass:

    ?imw=5000&imh=5000&ima=fit&impolicy=Lett

    Not sure about the actual difficulty but it is harder for me to sightread for both lead and guitar

    ?imw=5000&imh=5000&ima=fit&impolicy=Lett

    Being able to use fingers and not having to fit in power chords makes that one part way easier than lead guitar

    ?imw=5000&imh=5000&ima=fit&impolicy=Lett

    I'm not quite ready for properly moving up and down quickly yet

    ?imw=5000&imh=5000&ima=fit&impolicy=Lett

    ?imw=5000&imh=5000&ima=fit&impolicy=Lett

    naaah dont stay in advanced...join the mc bass @ BubbleWrapDragon  you got it 🙂

    I appreciate it😊 But I'm not ready for MC bass yet, gotta get a 99.5%+ on a 7*+ song first as well 😁
    And for that, I probably have to play more bass as well (I only play once a week for the championship right now and I can't slap or play octave patterns well)

    For lead guitar, I aim higher and I try to practice every day, been playing for about 2 years now, not sure what I should set as my goal for this year 🤔

    I think the promotion system applies to the main songs of the week, not the bonus songs. But I'm not sure, so it's better to ask @ Rodman .
    And do you really want to promote to masterclass, since you were promoted to advanced class about 2-3 weeks ago and there is still a lot of work ahead of you in this class? 🤔

    For now, I'll stick with advanced either way - I'm just curious about it when I want to rank up in the future 😊

    Also, I was wondering why songs with difficulty 9 got a rank-up star (9*) as well, but there's no ranking up from MC is there? 😁
