  1. Ok Rhythm Ranking ready:

What has not been done is the port of points for upgraders - i´m not sure if that is really needed...

Some of the regular players from lower classes do already compete in higher classes from time to time and thus gather points there, and as it shows most of us settle in the fitting class rather quickly and then stay there for a longer period.

So watcha say? Take half of the points with you on upgrade (which makes maintainance loads harder) or never mind - new class - new start - keep in mind:

As the numbers show - 2 wins brings you top 3 or at least close...

  2. I like it @@Rodman, nice work!

I'm a little confused about how it will work for players that move up a level, but I imagine that will largely work itself out as you suggest. BUT, it seems like it will be difficult to win or be close to the top consistently enough to have a high score on this (for 5-10 weeks) without automatically being leveled up. Then again, that might be mostly an issue for bass, where 98-99% accuracy scores are (usually) more easily achieved than lead/rhythm.

That very issue might partially explain why there are relatively few consistent participants that are in the beginner (even intermediate) class for bass. Maybe the automatic leveling up procedure should be a bit different for bass, to allow the newer bass players to stay down in beginner or intermediate for longer until they are really ready to move up. Like, >98% for *5* weeks in a row or 100% scores 2 weeks in a row for bass. ...Or something. I just hope nobody on the bass side has been discouraged from participating because they end up in Advanced or MC before they really feel like they want to be there.

Anyway, thanks for the work in putting it together -- looking forward to seeing the rhythm and bass numbers also!

    /rocksalute

    Thx m8!

I know now how 2 fix the upgrade problem:

As Motive sugested every next classes point could be counted double so - an upgrader will take his actual points/2 to the next level divided in 10 pieces for the last 10 weeks.

From my side your bass upgrade modification is perfect!

I am in advanced and surely do not wanna upgrade to mc - i dont belong there!

    Regards,

    R

Bass / Rhy upcoming 2 morrow hopefully..

I'm thinking of extra stuff like 2 points for a 100percenter :) but that makes it difficult....

  3. @@Rodman I think you want total rating system. One column for all participants. If member leveled up (or down), he will lost all score?

What about newcomers, they never not catch up constantly participants? As i see now, this rating not objective, it more show us who constantly play in his class with good score, and don`t show skill. An example where is @@NoonyDeloony?

    Thats to be discussed..

I think the overall skill is taken care of by joining the right class, i did not want to create a rating system, just a continuous ranking for the championship.

I think if you throw all performances, any class, any path in a pot and create one long list that would change nothing - the masterclass players would be on top, down to the beginners, plus overrating of multiple entries - extremely unfair for e.g. bass only masterclass players like @NoonyDeloony, who will not be found above for there are no lead guitar entries, but will most certainly be found in mc bass....

For the newcomers/upgraders - what can be discussed is if 5 weeks for calculation is better than 10, which i doubt cause as you see getting 2 wins gets you top 3, and if you miss one or the other week you are better of with 10 weeks, too.

The ranking is as objective as can be - Try to finish 1-4 - get points and play constantly - and thats what we want all participants to try!?.

  4. Ok, established the Ranking table (done with lead arrangements), rest asap.

    I did it like that:

    Last 10 weeks scored:

    1st place  - 10Pts

    2nd place - 5Pts

    3rd place - 3Pts

    4th place - 1Pt

that keeps it more simple than scoring the top 10 and fits better to the competition as there are hardly ever 10 scores in any path.

Scores taken from the championship file - so blame the file for mistakes, blame me for pasting mistakes.

Dont mind the layout - just wip.

I really hope Mortalo is willing to let me add as tab in Championship file - no problem i do the weekly updates,

if not i am gonna host it myself and post the updates every week.

I think its really handy to keep track of how the direct competitors are doing, and might add quite a bit to the motivation to come back every other week.

  5. While surfing a little through the Leaderboard to check my progression and who my competitors are and how they are coming forward suddenly it hit me what was missing...

As we have an ongoing chamiponship with classifications every week in every path wouldnt it be nice to have a Ranking Table!

I was thinking of - as what we have is not seasonal but an ongoing championship race - what would be best would be a Classification of the last 10 running weeks, each week each path scored e.g.

    Position Points 1st 25 2nd 18 3rd 15 4th 12 5th 10 6th 8 7th 6 8th 4 9th 2 10th 1

(taken from F1GP - they have loads of shxx but the scoring system is good).

So a Maximum of 250 Points would be possible for 10 wins in a Row. The actual scoring would be the addition of the points week 39-48, next week 40-49 and so on, ranking table for each path seperately of course.

Another good thing is that this ranking chart could be easily computed from our collected data, all that is needed is a new tab between Hon. ment. list and the running week and - once setup would mean NO ADDITITIONAL WORK FOR MORTALO AND MOTIVE.

I think this would add a lot to the motivation to compete every other week, and fight for the one or other place at the end of the week (esp. when i look at your fabulous competitions in lead and bass MC with envy) and could make the diehardlist obsolete.

    So, @, @@Mortalo, @@everyone - what do you say?

  6. Am I the only one getting cramps in the left hand from this songhttp://www.emu.name/rocking/The%20Misfits%20-%20Dig%20Up%20Her%20Bones.png... ?

I can't believe this is the best I could manage so far.

Of course cramps included over here ... Did you think punk spirit comes for free??

Hard 2 believe how some guitarists are working on stage during a 2 hours gig... Awesome...

Funny thing is its getting better after a few tries - keep goin bro !!

For the accuracy: Your score aint that bad at all taken into account the everything but beginner velocity...

I suppose you can easily gain 10% per doing RiffRepeater starting at 70% speed or so with acceleration over the changes to the lower powerchords in the refrain - that probably costs you most!

    Fight on,
