@Deloon - goddamit ... just make sure it doesn´t become chronical - better take those antiinflam. meds regullarly as prescribed and take some H2 blockers for your stomach (esp. in case you consider attending Dr. JD for additional pain management ;) ) and make sure your wrist is nonflexible in your device when trying to play. I was recruiting players or in other words a close friend and his gf bought RS with 2 cables they said because they wanted to start on guitar for a long time anyway and  anytime they came visit they caught me holding a guitar ... whatever ... i lend them a guitar and a bass and when i brought them over they said they wanted me to keep my eyes open for rather good used axes than rather cheap new ones ... cannot think of a task i would have taken over rather :) .. Unluckywise only took me few hours ... browsing the local marketplace page online brought this one into attention:

actually the one i got is the PRS SE Custom 24 (2009), but i don´t have a good picture and i couldnt find one of the 24s, otherwise exactly same.

both in very very good condition set up perfectly as those have been his on stage guitars for the last years as player in a local quite sucessfull commercial band (now he switched to a Musicman Luke II).

In the end i got them both for 500 together,

... got really nervous testing guitars for someone else, but that was the task ... i think there is no doubt about the PRS (for her?) and if the ibanez (which plays a lot like my Jackson) ends up in my collection i would not be too pissed.

Let´s see if they (friends) ever show up in the CS.

@@Rodman I think you've got this weeks ranking calculations wrong for the MC lead. I'm pretty sure I should get 12 points for the master mode FC and winning last week.

 

Also Frippchen should get 7 points  as he got than Smellslikemonkey as well as getting a master mode FC.

The MM was marked in the wrong color so the script did ignore those scores - thx and is corrected now!

Well maybe for you it is too late but the right thing in that situation would have been to remove the useless pressure.

The general agreement you have to find with yourself is only

"I like to play guitar"

Nothing more, nothing less, when you can agree with that you will very soon learn that you don´t try to reach some senseless goal like being able to play like some musician you might know or play a much to hard song you just cannot atm, but that the goal is already achieved: You are playing the guitar at your level - which on RS you luckywise always can.

The route is the goal. (or are you gonna stop when you have achieved a certain level ;) )

Progression is an achievement of time you can in no way effectively force.

From the negative perspective - if playing the guitar at your level is no fun at all then yes it is much too time-consuming and egoistic to carry on, if - like for about all of us here it is go for another 200hours and check back on the songs that did disappoint you right now.
