  1. Tip: I highly recommend using Riff Repeater for those (and similar short) exercises.

Mark all phrases and start practice section. That way you can play it a few 100 times in a few minutes and litteraly watch your progress.

@@fripponomic who would have thought that my real problem are downslides (!).

    Thx for pointing that out

  2.

You want a name of a charter with files of maximum quality and optimal tones -

Could we maybe get an additional user group other than Magna Charter, where the Rocksmith Championship community can place these gods, and identify them to the leachers rest of us?

Maybe even a filter in ignition to filter out all the would be's. ^_^

    That is not needed.

There is song selection list with all the songs that have been played, categorised for lead already and you can check back in the leaderboard sheet for the exact difficulty for each path (lead, rhy, bass).

The quality of all played songs is at least good, most very good.

When you play with us for some time you will surely find out which charters can blindky be trusted.

  3. Yes, at the championship we care a lot about quality. And subpar cdlcs are skipped or optimized togetherbwith the original charter!

Far more than 500 songs have been validated, played and categorised for difficulty. All nicely written down in google docs files.

But you wont need those ;) as you get a song of your playing level any other week to work on!

  4. @@cozy1 - do you know/think - is the ProfileID in any way linked to the steam or UPlay account, or is it just created on RS install in the way "a valid ProfileID is needed". If the later would be the case i could just add his player to my Profile, then copy my whole /remote dir over and let it cloudsync on both systems as we do with the CDLCs.

    2) is the profile id stored in the .prfldb files ( i don´t think so)

    Thx

  5. @rodman I will have to think about this. Saves are signed with a ProfileID to only play on the system they were createded on. You would have to have the ProfileID from your save on your friends system which would then need to be transferred to your cloud save. This process would have to be repeated when you return to your home system. You can do this with CGT now, so you should be able to do it with a CLI tool.

Do you have the ProfileIDs for both systems?

Sure, i have access and can modify the hell out of everything:)

If you could help that would be a blast :)

  6. ok... i think i have sorted it out. My tests show that a valid prfldb file can be overwritten by another valid one (meaning it can be deleted and another valid one can be renamed to it and placed in the /remote folder) and the stats of the updated file are there :)

    So option

    1) I can cloudsync the .prfldb of my player, and create a batchfile at my pals system to overwrite it to my .prfldb there to match the profile id and on RS exit backup back to the cloud and rename back at home.

--- Do you, too think that will work?

    2) Can i use the same profile with the same profile id at home and at my pals?

If i can just copy over the whole Profile files syncing would be super easy.

  7. It used to be able to be viewed but not changed by the public during the week. I liked seeing in one spot who was a percent or so above me so i could push for that extra bit. You also have many eyes pointing out any errors.

You just answered to a post form 2014-07 (!)

The leaderboard are, as always there and viewable all the time (check signatures of a lot of players or hit "good" down in my sig to get there!"

  8. Hi @@cozy1 !!

Well i gotta jump in here for i wanna optimise exactly the same situation for myself.

Once a week i drive over to a friend of mine for a few multiplayer songs. We do syncronise our CDLC library over a cloud service - so really convenient my songs are always there. It´s just unpractical to always have to manually transfer my stats there, and then again back when back home, (as well as his to my account ...) I have tried, but we just fail to do that everytime for being to lazy.

So i have to automatice that. What can easily be done is have my currently updated profile .prfl file and LocalProfiles.json always on site cause i can simply copy them on the cloud service over a batch file on RS-exit.

So here is my big big favor i am asking your help:

Is there a way to auto-update an already transferred profile - maybe via a batch file before RS-Start.

I don´t know how far you have gone regarding command line parameters on your genious CGT - but that would be easiest if possible, or do you have another idea (i fear only copying over the updated .prfl won´t do even on an already transferred profile, or will it?)

    Thx, cheers and rock on!

  9. @@unclemiller - yes! I highly recommend playing over an external amp all the time. I personally use a passive ABY splitter box with a guitar cable on input, output A) guitar cable to my line6 spider15 amp (with floorboard) and output B ) Rocksmith Cable to PC.

In Game Guitar is muted. The Rec Output from the Spider goes into line-in from the PC´s Soundcard so i get absolutely 0-lag and real amp audio over the PC´s Audio Output that can also be used to record for RS videos etc., and the guitar tones and volume is controlled over the floorboard.

I only use 4 tones (A good acoustic one / ACDC (crunch) / a Metallica Rhythm / a Megadeth Lead) from the line6 library, but they sound tons better than most of the ingame ones and it feels much more like really covering a song. One very important thing is that you have to set your guitar volume high so you can hear what you are playing. When using ingame sound i set mixer "music" to max 75% and "guitar" to 100%.

  10. Was just about to write the same as @@Mortalo

    1) Join the Championship - it makes you play! and it makes you play and practice songs you would have never without the competition.

And you get them exactly on your skill level every week.

Besides we try to keep the standard of the selected songs very high, so only well made customs here.

    2) Rocksmith is way too forgiving - trying to aim for the higher score is the wrong way. You gotta listen extremely carefull esp. regarding rhythm and accenting and while you improve you get the higher score. It is just simply the most optimal way to read tabs, the way i see it.

    Rock on!

  11. Hate to put this hear but you wanted beginner songs it looks like. I took this in order of mastery so if a band has 10 songs, the first songs are 100% and the lowers are 93%+/- as a general rule and may be closer to the next level. Take into account that I have known these songs and have been a professional air guitarists for 35+ years:) I know the songs well so it probably is a little more natural for me, but the same can be said of any song that happens to pop up each week. Hope it helps. Took some time to put it to paper then to order it and put it here.

Thought I would just link the doc... don't know why i was going to post them all here heh.

Hey man, great you took the time!

Please enter 4 of them of your choice into Song Selection List (link eg in Mortalos and MaZtoRs signature).

And when one is chosen put in the next one.

Dont forget to fill in your diff rating for the paths you have tried.

    Thx.

  12. that´s already ok :) - the small phrases make it easy to get punched in the face.

Excellent song to follow @@Gamut s ad-wise and stay loose - esp. that signature riff is a lot easier played in one hand position! If you shift you gotta be quicker, and damn certain about your fingering, so use your pinky and stay in 5.

  13. so what do we have?

AN EMPTY SONG SELECTION LIST ;) - Feel free to fill that up, everyone!

Especially beginner songs wont be guarding the shelves for too long!

... on that weeks side great challenge everywhere with spot on difficulties for the classes i think, on the hard side for Beginners Rhy and Bass (which is good to get the feeling if its time to level-up) and not a single 100% walk over line for Bassplayers, all 4 really enjoyable.

    Have fun.
