  1. I used the RocksmithToTab program to try and get a tab for the Asian Hooker lead. When I ran the program it made tabs for most of the songs I have in my library but some of them it did not. I even copied the .psarc file and put it in another folder to try and convert from there. I got a message that said "could not find songs.psarc files in the Rocksmith folder."

    Any suggestions?

  2. Snarky Puppy, groovy chill songs for sure. Larnell Lewis is a master on the drums as well.

Wow, this is a fun band. They have a lot of cool clay-animation music videos too.

Catchy tune. Not difficult but some different chord shapes that I'm not used to playing at first glance. I felt using the same 5 power chords for "Rock You Like a Hurricane" was easier. Probably because I already knew how to play it.

Hey, it's snowing in here! That's pretty cool ☃️ It's been a few weeks since I've played RS and it felt good!

For some reason it seems like my PC has been lagging super bad, including Rocksmith (which it never used to do), ever since my last Windows update. Randomly my computer will stumble over itself for a good 30-60 seconds. On Rocksmith it's usually after I finish a song or when I'm on a main menu. If anyone has any suggestions that would be great.

    Merry Christmas!

I find that you need to pull off the tapped note distinctively, the rest can be played legato. I do not think active pickups would make a difference, I have passive ones too.

Thanks Anwyn. I'll give that a try.

As long as you have calibrated your rocksmith and your pickups aren't super low output to begin with, you should be able to get decent note recognition for tapping. The most important thing to notice is how cleanly yout tap the note and do the follow ups with pull offs and hammer ons. If your muting and/or fingering technique is poor, you will easily get accidentals from other strings and even sympathic harmonies from open strings, if you don't cover them while tapping. The accidentals and feedbacks are only more and more audible with active pickups.

The best thing you can do is play with a distorted amp (preferrably outside of rocksmith, due to its noise gate) to see how clean your single string tapping and legato techniques really are. if you are constantly in a situation where your signal distorts heavily, then it means you are doing a poor job muting the strings. If you don't have access to a dirty amp, then tone designer from rocksmith is your friend.

I'll try recalibrating and see how it goes. I feel like my tapping is decent enough to where there shouldn't be 20+ misses, even at slower speeds, but that is a good point and another thing for me to check out. Thanks meelo.

I can play the solo without errors... in RR at 60%.

Any tips for note recognition during the tapping? I'm hitting the notes but it seems like there is a lot more missed notes than there should be. Maybe I need to tap and pull off harder. Maybe active pick ups would work better. Or maybe I'm not playing it as well as I think I am, lol.
