  2. Last call for scores this week! New week comes up in 30-60 min!
  3. It's been a while since I made a good post, so let's make a good post. Here's a video of my FC, complete with singing and commentary, wow!
  4. The way I got into my biggest project was a flyer on my university campus. It said "Drummer and bassist wanted for prog metal band. We like Trivium, Iron Maiden, Dream Theater, and Evanescence." I called the number, a month passed, they tried me out and then we wrote an EP together. So my advice would be to put yourself out there and be vocal about what style of music you want to play. Meet people with the same taste, jam with them, repeat until you find bandmates with chemistry.
  5. More improvement left inside me, but oops, out of time. Maybe I should start sooner than Thursday...
  6. Gamut actually putting some effort in this week?!?!?!?!?!
  7. Late to the party, classic Gamut. :confetti_ball: When I first rolled this file, I was almost ready to reject it - but was pleasantly surprised to discover there was a newer, shinier version than the one I had. Man, people are scoring mid 90s on this? I'd better buckle down and put some elbow grease in. That's more like it! More percents where that came from.
  8. They both quite playable files on both paths, but Watoosh's bass chart has extra notes and not as great a tone, while Cat's lead chart is missing notes and has really uncomfortable fingering in the chorus. So I gave each path its most accurate chart.
  9. Miraculously, none of these files have rhythm charts. Hang tight, rhythm players!

  11. A quick sightread on this great Rainbow tune so I don't go two weeks without posting anything here: Next week starts in about an hour - if you've got improvements left in you, crank 'em out quick!
  12. Quite a long break, but we're back at it. Few new things in the past handful of months and a lot of new exciting things in the works. Hang tight.
  13. With my system, I have to shuffle DLC constantly. My upper library limit is about 1700 - after that, enumerates get exponentially longer, Rocksmith starts crashing more often, and I experience "hiccuping" mid-songs.
  14. Knew it was gonna be cranked to 11 when I saw "made for LeFrenchStallion"!
  15. Hey, I don't remember doing that! You guys pick more than enough Metallica without me picking it too.
  16. Let's warm up this week with the GoG. Sightread 100%! Easiest FC of my life.
  17. Little better on the Int today. I'm gonna have to haul ass on Libra tomorrow!
  18. First stab at my class. Determined to hit 90 on this!!
  19. RNG was being a bit of a pain this week, so there's a fair amount of Rigged Picking™ happening here to make everything work out nicely. To be fair, the Intervals I chose isn't one I know how to play at all! The int, though: Starting off with a PB on a hard-hitting emo tune from my kidGamut days. I'm a little loosey-goosey about how I play the intro riff, but I can clean it up!

  21. I wanted to improve some more, but slept terribly. So here's a vid of that last score I did! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=B_K85DYaLVY New week begins soon!
  22. You could say I know this song pretty well - I was the one that picked it back in the day. One of the bands that made kidGamut fall in love with metal!
