  1. Wow, you got thrashed by that weird french elevator song. I hope you didn't play that Sailing Man rhythm track 15 times for this week's competition, as only the lead is part of the week (but don't worry, it's easier!)
  2. I reckon intermediate class is calling thy name ;)
  3. One more update. I went from E12th/B15th fret unison bend to B17/G19 unison bends, as those are easier. Think I'll see if I can move most of the heavy lifting to that general region. Annoyingly game didn't recognise one of the notes somewhere in the main riff and streak is bad :P http://u.meelo.org/.rocksmith/week266/lead/a03.png
  4. I am so done with this song. That bass solo is just too ridiculous. It has a freaking full step bend in there! ON A BASS! http://u.meelo.org/.rocksmith/week266/bass/a01.png ~89.5 % accuracy happened between these two http://u.meelo.org/.rocksmith/week266/bass/a02.png http://u.meelo.org/.rocksmith/week266/bass/a03.png http://u.meelo.org/.rocksmith/week266/bass/a04.png One more full run at 92 % speed and 96 % speed and back to SA. http://u.meelo.org/.rocksmith/week266/bass/a05.png MC has nice main riff. That crazy thing in the middle is something I don't want to try and learn at the moment. http://u.meelo.org/.rocksmith/week266/bass/m02.png This I can push to 100 %. But I said the same thing about the lead. http://u.meelo.org/.rocksmith/week266/bass/i02.png
  5. Welcome back! Yeah, that'll do. You are not limited to just one path though, you can also assign a difficulty level for rhythm and bass if you want to play those paths as well and compete in their respective leagues. Most of us tend to play through all difficulties and paths each week.
  6. It's hard to learn pinch harmonics since it requires a lot of trial and error, took me a while to learn as well. One thing that might help is that like natural harmonics, pinch harmonics are location sensitive so try moving up and down the string until you find an area that works. That was a problem for me when I started trying to learn how to do it because I was picking in the wrong spot so I could never get it to work. I can do them like half the time when practicing, or at least I think I do. I don't get the loud evil screetch out of them, but it's definitely a higher pitch noise. Doing a pinch harmonic on a stationary string while practicing is one thing, but doing them in a riff at a random place is a whole another level. I'm thinking it "okay, pinch harmonic coming soon, tilt your arm position to make it possible" and then I drop the pick and the house lights on fire. Every time.
  7. This is enjoyable. I do wish I could do those pinch harmonics! http://u.meelo.org/.rocksmith/week266/rhythm/i04.png I may have underestimated the difficultiness of those bends. http://u.meelo.org/.rocksmith/week266/lead/a02.png Well I had to try. I think there is some sort of error in this one, I think they ran out of zeros in the programming code and had to replace one 0 with 6. http://u.meelo.org/.rocksmith/week266/lead/m01.png
  8. No, that's totally extra. Although I must say it's weird that there is a 4-string bass version for that song, when the band's bassist clearly plays 6 string bass :P The 6 string version is under the rhythm track if you still want to take a look at it :)
  9. There is always that 6 string bass arrangement for "Seventh wonder - Welcome to mercy falls" if you really were looking for 6 string bass arrangement.
  10. Well this is much more like it! A rhythm that I can understand! http://u.meelo.org/.rocksmith/week266/rhythm/i02.png Small and meaningless update. http://u.meelo.org/.rocksmith/week266/lead/b03.png
  11. 4 hours in riff repeater doing those solo parts. Trying and crying. I can do them just fine, but my timing is way off, and I can't watch my guitar and the rocksmith screen at the same time to try and sync the timing on the fly. Frustrating! I don't want to play this stupid elevator tune anymore. (But I still have bass to go :( ) http://u.meelo.org/.rocksmith/week266/lead/i06.png
  12. Accidentally stumbled upon a cool feature while practicing the "supercell - feel no good". https://youtu.be/I6M-y_32Fl8 and I totally fluked the riff on that "first" go Btw, how are you supposed to play that last open E? Kind of sounds like a pickslide.
  13. Kind of agree with @@ZeroPingNZ, adv is generally easier than intermediate lead. While it has a ton of fast unison bends, they tend to stay at the same position, which makes it a lot easier (if only I learnt how to do EB-string unison bends accurately without muting the E-string). http://u.meelo.org/.rocksmith/week266/lead/a01.png
  14. Are you sure this is just 5.5? O_O Spent two hours in riff repeater before being able to do it (poorly) in score attack. http://u.meelo.org/.rocksmith/week266/lead/i04.png http://u.meelo.org/.rocksmith/week266/rhythm/b01.png
  15. Advanced rhythm is unplayable because of the tuning :/
  16. Hmm, beginner lead is not exactly beginner, but it isn't quite intermediate either. Spent an hour in riff repeater to get through the tremolo solo properly and get the main riff down. I have tried that song months ago and ended up giving up, because it was too hard :P Anyways. Missed two D#5s when going from the main riff to D#5 chord. Good enough for now. I like royal republic, so I'll come back to this and get the 100 %. http://u.meelo.org/.rocksmith/week266/lead/b02.png
  17. Not going to level up. I only won because Angelina and Telboy went AWOL and Rodman had no time to play :P
  18. A well spent hour :o http://u.meelo.org/.rocksmith/week0/lead/empireoftheclouds.png http://u.meelo.org/.rocksmith/week0/rhythm/empireoftheclouds.png http://u.meelo.org/.rocksmith/week0/bass/empireoftheclouds.png My arm is a bit tired after that bass run
  19. Finally perfect. But sloppy :( Got so stressed out that I'll screw up at the very last moment. But I'll take this. First time getting 100 % on all bass tracks :) http://u.meelo.org/.rocksmith/week265/bass/a08.png
  20. @ The sound of *KOSH* made by the game is a clear indicator :P And since I know from the leaderboards that the song has 666 notes and 99.84 % accuracy equals to 665/666 notes played, I know for sure which note I missed.
  21. I am a bit salty about this one.. http://u.meelo.org/.rocksmith/week265/bass/a07.png Next attempt I failed at 557.. Had to get that sloppy 100 % on intermediate. http://u.meelo.org/.rocksmith/week265/bass/i02.png http://u.meelo.org/.rocksmith/week265/bass/i03.png http://u.meelo.org/.rocksmith/week265/bass/i04.png
  22. http://u.meelo.org/.rocksmith/week265/bass/m06.png Your turn, @@Toni-Wan Kenobi ;)
  23. well... that opening is rather MC part (8) - i had to finetune the scrolling speed that it is well visible, and i think it works out ok - i cannot play that cleanly, too, but it would be learnable in RR quickly. I tried to show the Chords clear so that it´d be a bit easier. Any suggestions for improvement - i ´ll go for it. Perhaps add the Arpeggio notation to each chord changes, or if possible, manually add Am, Dm, C labels to the first notes of each first notes of arpeggio chords? The messiness of chord changes in parts like these seem to be a common problem with most CDLCs. Kind of impossible to go through the section with pure sight-reading. Another hard to read kind of issue is with the C, partial C and C5 chords (and why not Am/A5 and Dm/D5). I know when you are strumming a chord up and down a lot, you don't usually strum the whole chord when you strum upwards, but tabbing those partial strums as a separate chords makes it look very messy and hard to follow. But I think this is more of a rocksmith problem than a charting problem. (If you want to see something that looks like a total nightmare, check out Avenged Sevenfold - So far away. relatively easy song, but because of the strumming notation, totally unreadable).
