It seemed to me that the advanced bass was a bit easier than the intermediate songs. Either way, I really enjoyed both.
Ghost- Absolution
Mr. Bungle -Quote Unquote (This song was very interesting)
That may be. This week it was hard to rate esp the 2 ints and the adv song for bass. They're very close together. I think the Mr Bungle song with its uncommon harmonic progression and those crazy walking line is harder to memorize, how to expect for a Patton Song.
some recommendations for
Sex Pistols:
from a post from week 150
For those who are anoyed by playing detuned in this song with 440Hz tuning frequency, everyone can easily fix this by himself...I don't post links for fixed versions anymore since once I got a warning point for doing this ( :cop: that's against the law the freebird police told me, next time I'm going into jail :hushed:), so I'll explain for those who don't know how to fix the tuning frequency just by using the Toolkitopen the Toolkit (CDLC Creator button)- klick import package and choose the custom - then you have to select a folder for all the stuff to save, you just can create one, choose it - now the custom is open and you need to open every arrangement by edit or just doubleklick - at tuning pitch you set 444 hz then hit ok - the frequency should now appear in the main page behind the edited arrangement, repeat editing with all playable arrangements - now just klick Generate and ..... tadaa, your fixed cdlc is finished and ready for copy and paste to your dlc game folder, don't forget to delete the old version!all stats, highscores and highscorelists are obtained; I'm in the same list than all others at 440hzRush, esp guitar:in the same way you can and should change the scroll speed at this song. The original scroll speed is at 2.0, which is just too slow. In the song the rhythm is hardly readable and many single notes will be hidden behind chords. A better speed would be 1.4/5/6.You can change that the same way as described above, in the arrangement sheets you change scroll speed with a slider there instead the frequenzy. That's all. If someone want to change and doesn't know how to handle the Toolkit, I'd post a fixed version to the comments at the record pages.- 6

It's about time for the next exercise number 3 for the LTII series.
This one is focused on bendings, not a very hard one but excellent for practise those technique.
Again this is a mini song pack with full audio and a no guitar multitrack version.

You can load it in sound designer from originals. There you can just open every station and screenshot. Use the screenies for tone creation with the toolkit. I guess there are any other ways, but this should work.
-
add DD to them and it should count again. Since the remastered update cdlc without DD don't count your plays anymore.

Lead Techniques II
here comes No. 2 - Legato and Slides
like the name advertises, this exercise is focused on legato playing using slides combined with hammer ons and pull offs.
nice training, and don't forget to play the no guitar track ;)

Okay, the first one of the LTII pack is complete.
No.1 - Double Bends Alternate Picking
Double bends here means bend up and release bend
- 2
-
Now I decided to go on with a continuation of that little workshop. Actually working on the first of 5 exercises plus a final challenge.
The following exercises are focused on bendings, alternate picking, legato and staccato (as palm mutes). The levels are harder than in LT1, and again I'll do the example tracks and playback tracks without guitar (multitracks).
I'll add them piece by piece here and finally, when all work is done, they all will be added to the 2nd post.

You guys really torture yourself with the Queen lead. The chords never'd be played as chords with one guitar at one time. Studioversions, esp Queen, working a lot with overdubs. Brian may played all the voices separately. If you watch a live vid of that song you'll notice him playing a nice little solo there.
This cdlc with this lead part for me has failed.

the Queen song would be nice, but on guitar those stupid chords  just not playable. All voices from the recording were stomped into chords  (first guitar part)
