Struggling to use EOF with no experience.
raynebc replied to DragonAmberina's topic in Editor on Fire
.gp is a newer version of Guitar Pro format than EOF supports. If you have Guitar Pro 7 or 8 you can use it to export that tab to .gp5 format, or if you don't, you can send me the .gp file and I'll export it for you. If the MIDI was sloppily made, you'll run into such problems, but I can't do more than speculate since I don't have that file to examine. You can upload them to some file host and send me a link to them in a private message if you want. -

EoF moved/deleted my GP File, any way to get it back?
raynebc replied to SirBacon's topic in Editor on Fire
It is not possible for EOF to have deleted, moved or renamed it. If you happened to have enabled the "Import dialogs recall last path" import preference (File>Preferences>Import/Export), invoking Guitar Pro import again will have EOF default to that location and if the file still appears to be there, you can look at the folder path reflected in the file open dialog. Otherwise you'd need to look in your file system (ie. perform a search for *.gp* in File Explorer). -

Hi, folks. It's been ages since the last release candidate, but 1.8RC13 is posted. Changes since last hotfix are as follows: A summary of the main changes since 1.8RC12 is here: https://pastebin.com/raw/md8UfreX Or a hilariously-long unabridged changelog is here: https://pastebin.com/raw/SUDC2Fqk The shiny, new feature with this release is support for authoring charts for the Augmented Reality game Immerrock, which is now in early access. If you have a Quest 3 or Quest Pro headset, it's definitely worth a look. There are also some new views for finger1ng and dynamic difficulty. The new tutorial covers some tempo mapping and beat manipulation strategies that may make for an interesting read. Since this release candidate will extract to a different folder instead of just get unzipped on top of the old release, make sure to copy your eof.cfg file to the new release candidate to keep all of your settings.

You're probably going to want to define a slide up note that uses the linknext property to link to a slide down note. There are thorough tutorials on the subject on the forum.

Invalid Note Length when Importing GP5 File into EOF
raynebc replied to SamsToast's topic in Editor on Fire
This is usually an error during Guitar Pro or Tux Guitar converting the tab to GP5 format. EOF will try to complete the import, but it's possible there are some timing problem that will result from this. You may have to make some adjustments after it imports in EOF. -

The original EOF developer made a new Mac build of the current source code. I uploaded it to Ignition. Please give it a try and let me know if you run into any problems.
