I guess also make sure you don't have both the v1.0 and v1.1 files in your DLC folder.

You can never have too many. I still need to clean up the live version, and then one day do an acoustic chart for "Here I Go Again." Acoustic songs are so

Let's see how this week goes... First results:
Never heard this. But really cool with an uncommon bass line
How haven't I played this before?? Maybe I have too many "Here I go again" versions
I think the score is better than the performance (couldn't get in the rhythm of the song)
I think this was one of the few Genesis or Phil Collins songs that I haven't played (now I know why
)
You can never have too many. I still need to clean up the live version, and then one day do an acoustic chart for "Here I Go Again." Acoustic songs are so tedious to chart if I want to get all the grace notes and mutes correct.

Is there a playthrough topic? What am I missing?
When you go into any chart's comments on Ignition, there's a "Playthroughs" button between the Author's Notes and Comments. You can click on that button and then the green Add+ button.

Thank you very much!
Yesterday I finally succeeded in recording a playthrough (with sound
) Next time I'll try to capture and mix
Why don't you add it as a playthrough?

huh interesting yea apparently theres a lot of versions of the song, so i wonder which one you refer to.
Theres the one in the cdlc which has a guitar for most of the song (which is why i think he tabbed it)
the remastered version in the same album which is more synth focused intro...i think thats the one im used to? (even though i heard it way before 2018 so it is a bit odd... ig maybe they just remastered a newer version of the song maybe)and then the 2011 version that sounds like a demo/cover to me cause the chorus background vocals sound pretty raw/drunk..almost like a cover band in a bar. But it might be the original version, i wouldnt know.
Also sounds like he says "like a hobo i was born to walk alone". which is different from the other versions. kinda like the hobo line tho .
The one from the 1987 album and the iconic music video is the one most people think of as far as "Here I Go Again". It's also the one usually played on radio, SiriusXM, Spotify, commercials, movies. Which is ironic since they tried making the "radio edit" be the one for radios. The 2020 Remix version is probably the best from an audio quality standpoint. It's essentially the 1987 version with everything very clear in the mix.

The solo on the radio mix of "Here I Go Again" shouldn't be too hard. No shred run like the regular version.

Still getting phantom misses on this...I ultimately used a really loud tone from one of @ GoatHerd 's CDLC and played with a pick and that seemed to help but I still couldn't get the 100% despite playing it perfectly.
Great song and no issues with the chart, just note recognition...not sure if this is something you could look at @ Hameron ? The custom tone itself is also really quiet.
Any ideas when or what sections?

If you do it today/tomorrow, maybe someone will use it to improve their score, but this week is coming to the end so I'm not forcing you to do it.
Okay. It's updated for lead and rhythm now, with plenty of handshapes.

Do you guys want me to update and upload "Wait" with more handshapes, or just wait until after this championship week is over?

really good begginner song. I think i like listening to the song more than playing it though.
like i said last week, think this one is probably her best song (atleast compared to the ones one here) good tab glad to be able to play the guitar parts now thanks @ Mikson
Another option to play the riff would be replacing the blue 5s with 0s on the next string main riff
and then in the modulated part/ keychange towards the end its kinda like the cult of personality riff you place middle finger on 3 then blue 5 orange 2 orange 5
but 0s do become kinda hard to see in rocksmith (atleast they throw me of...never liked open strings in gh either) sometimes string skipping can be harder aswell and it is more clear on the modulated place the way you tabbed it so kudos!
nice song i think i could 100 it but not sure if i have enough time
Sweet! Another of my song suggestions got pickedthanks!
Its probably the most watched music video for me/ memorable just cause they stage the guitarist playing the guitar with a bow in the violin solo hehe.
I do want to say the suggestions i made for 500 were mostly based on guitar fun to play...not really accuracy and dont think i tried bass on them.
Also this is a new file compared to the one i originally played.. think the old one got erased. this one seems better so thats good thanks @ Hameron !
i agree with the slides (also think atleast the last chord slide should be unpitched)
itd be nice if the solo was divided a bit more so that its easier to practice (think theres too much notes to remember/ practice the way it is)
i think the bass should probably follow the guitar riff more i dont hear the orange notes... heres a quick isolated bass track might help?

theres some harmonics missing on the rhythm path.I'm not sure when in the song you're referring to. It's possible it's a little different from the 1987 music video version. I mean, the ending did change (or is an alternate take from the studio remixed). Here's my isolated bass file:

Yeah, I am having the same issue and it's pretty frustrating! Did a lot of riff repeating just in this part... I have to play the harmonics very loud and many times to get them recognized, but sometimes doesn't work.
I am giving up and just playing it as a normal note in the same fret, which gets recognized by RS.
Are you guys talking about the series of harmonics starting with 4-7-5 on the D string, etc.? You might be able to substitute that 4 with a 7th fret B string harmonic.

@Mikson thanks for letting me know. I'll pay more attention to how well those long ones get recognized in the future.

Lead
Easy chart, but some weird chords in final part (classic G5 power chord with e string at 5th fret).
Simply the best.
I was hesitant as to whether this would fit as a difficult beginner, but I think there are some technical licks here more for intermediate level.
A nice song with an interesting chart and a short but quite difficult solo.
I have some problems with this, because @ Hameron mainly uses pitched slides in his CDLCs, which is often difficult for Rocksmith to detect, especially with long slides or chord slides.
I really like this band, especially for their melodic riffs. But this is damn fast...
Sorry, man. I guess it does make it more difficult to get to 100%. I tend to make slides pitched when I can "hear" the notes move up or down. And unpitched if it's just a screech.
Where were you having the most trouble getting detection? The typical Whitesnake low E string slide down, or the "Buildup" part where there are some 7/14 slides on the A string followed by the 12th fret G triad? Or somewhere else.

Seems you know the band pretty well, you might be the first person I have spoken to who does.
Thinking new or old Kenny? I find I really like his voice, but I think I like Eric's style better. The Kenny version of Rise is a favorite because it kind of blends the two.
I don't know that I would be of much if any help but if you want to give me a crash course I might be able to help with the computer part of it. Probably useless at laying out the tabs though.
I think Erik's better, but the difference isn't that much that it would make them two different bands. I'm fine with Kenny, and I like that the band has really only had 7 members after all this time, with two having returned.
I'm probably going to do 2 songs the next time I release something. One old and one new.
As far as how to do CDLCs, check out the Customsforge Discord. There are people who are way more available than me with tips and how to get started.

don't know if you have the opportunity, but if you could look into eclipse (sweden) that would be amazing.
Really love your work and hoping you might do some more HEAT as well.
Yeah, there's so much out there I'd love to be CDLCs. I wish more people were making them for these types of bands.
I don't know when I'll get back to HEAT, but they're pretty high on my priority. Probably a couple of Kenny songs, since I've already done a couple of Erik songs.

Alright, I figured I might as well make a video of it. It's silent, but I added text to show what I meant.

I know, it'd be easier to show in a video example or something, but anyway... Typical scenario for me... a phrase like
"Do you want to go" followed by a second phrase like "I'mm ready"
1) I select "I'mm" and edit the spelling. Then press OK.
2) After pressing OK, it's still highlighted/selected without me doing anything else (and currently the only thing selected). I need to make this second phrase move a half second over, so...
3) I Shift+Click on "ready", with the intention that since "I'm" is highlighted, then shift+clicking "ready" would only select those two words. But instead, EOF selected everything to the left as well, so the previous phrase and everything before that gets selected.
I use shift+click a lot for the lyrics to move phrases around to where I perfectly want it to be, maybe do a control+M afterwards if I changed the placement or sustain amount.
-
The thing is, if I'm not editing a word. Like I'm just selecting one, then do Shift+Click on a word to the right, those words and the words in between those words get selected. As expected.
But like I mentioned above, if I go into and correct the spelling of a word, then press OK, a Shift+Click on a word to the right would select everything to the left all the way to the beginning of the song. It's a weird result that I don't think makes sense.
-
I don't know if this has been reported before, but I can pretty consistently reproduce this "bug" in EOF...
While editing PART VOCALs, when I add a word or edit a word (Edit Lyric dialog box), then press OK out of it... if the next thing I do is a Shift + Click on a different word on the current screen, everything to the left gets selected. I don't think that's the intended action is it?
-
I'll have to experiment some more, because I had tap harmonics a few songs back. I can't remember which song. But setting just natural harmonic and the T on it, I couldn't get the game to recognize it. Even when playing at slower speeds. So I just marked it as Ignore.

I don't know how much Corti is up to updating White Lion's "Tell Me" anymore. But since I helped him some with it (tones and bass path) I'll probably update it someday to 2025 charting standards as I go through my old stuff. Just a heads up for anyone remotely interested.
