  1. IF you buy RockSmith 1. on ps3, you can import those songs to RS2014. it costs $10. to import them over though. ( own them both, so that's what I did. - any DLC you bought for RS1, will transfer over, with or without the import. also you can buy those separate as you want them. but the rs1 songs, i believe you can only get them to RS2014 if you own RS1, and import them.
  2. there is cdlc for rocksmith 1. though they don't support that here. this page has quite a few. dfcrs.com
  3. Aww I didn't know there was an information panel. Thanks. and for #3, i meant it should automatically set you upto be notified for updates, (and not comments/replies on the thread) it used to have this functionality on the forum. but clicking on follow, then choosing the song updates, on each song, gets tiring fast, if i'm downloading it, obviously i'd like to be notified on when the cdlc is updated. #4, also i would like the list to be auto created, and not dependent on me adding it to my collection, again for every song.there are over 10,000 songs available, can you imagine having to add each one to your collection? Now. awhile ago they started using a cs link to download tracks to keep track of download counts, i'm sure. ( in that process.php they could also easily keep track of who downloads what, what version it is, and when it was downloaded (That info should of been stored from the start of process.php, if it wasn't then whoever wrote it, isn't a very good coder.) now that's not saying it's not keeping that info, I don't know, but if it isn't it should be. then it could give us our list, and personal updates, and then it could be used to auto notify us when the songs we have downloaded are updated as well.
  4. I'd like to see: A toggle to show the comments, so we can see what has been updated. Display if the song has a Custom Tone or not. When you download it should auto subscribe you to that song to be notified of updates. A list of all the songs I have downloaded, and what ones have been updated that I haven't gotten yet, would be nice as well. Ratings for each track being displayed, would also be nice.
  5. No, I hadn't see that setting, I'll have to check that out, thx. on your recording point, would like to see that as well, add in a studio mixing type thing where you could lay down (robot) drum line, then play & record bass, go back and lay rhythm, then a screaming solo... I also think they should partner up with some major hardware companies like Avid, Presonus, Apogee, etc.. and open up the interface instead of requiring just a realtone cable. I get their concern of being wide open and the support nightmare, but they could easily open up to certain "certified" products so those that have and want to use good gear... can. Apogee? haha wow. that brings me back to my youth. are they even still around? I thought RockSmith included multiplayer support? - Locally anyways?
  6. 'Old search' at the top. should work. if it's asking you to login, i'd assume it's a cookie issue, maybe try deleting your cookies, and sign in again.. or maybe try a different browser. could be a site issue. it works great for me, though I assume they'll eventually phase it out. 'Ignition' at the top. is the new search. .. both pages, list all the cdlc content, and allows you to sort them, and search through them easily.
  7. This is a great idea! I started with Rocksmith on my western acoustic guitar and was always looking for songs that worked well to play solo and sing along to. The problem I see though, is the recording part. If it is not really really well done, it might become a pain to listen to them. My suggestion is for you to learn how to make a CDLC before doing the recording! Because an intermediate step in your project could be to add the acoustic arrangement as a bonus arrangement to the regular CDLC (just like the combo arrangements on RS1). This might not always work, e.g. if you are changing the structure of the song. But I think in most cases it would be sufficient to play the acoustic version along to the studio recording. Once you are familiar with that, you can start lowering the background music and start playing / singing on your own. Caution, advertisement: You could also add a Metronome to the whole song to make it well playable (helping you to keep up the tempo) without any background music at all. Check out this tutorial for more information on Metronome Bonus Arrangements. Regards, Azrael Thanks for the vote of confidence, I'd assume most songs the structure would change.. but then I was thinking, if I couldn't find a way to record it and have it sound decent, why not just export the guitar pro file of it to a .wav using the realistic sound engine, it'd be done well enough for people to listen to and learn from... that is. if it came to that.
  8. I have 7 Guitars: two 6 String acoustics. One 12 String acoustic. Four 6 String Electrics. it won't let me upload pictures, and i'm too lazy to find a find a photosharing site. and upload it there, then copy each of the urls over here. no thanks! But one of my guitars is shaped like the Queensryche Tri-Ryche logo. and even signed by the band. it's rad.
  9. PM me if you are having trouble with the instructions and I will try to help you. It is not prudent to share inlay psarc files when you can build them yourself, so please don't ask others to share inlay psarc here. Since you brought that up? why does anyone care if we share inlay psarc files? sure you can build it yourself, but how is it any different to take the source files, and build it yourself. than to just share the prebuilt files? I mean as far anyone can do it themselves, anyone can build CDLC themselves as well. though it's more work. I am just curious on the difference here and why one is okay and the other isn't. Do you really want to kick the bear? Readup on Xbox Dead or Alive modding and then ask again. Not. I honestly am just curious, i've never heard of xbox dead or alive modding, But then i'm really not into games, I have a ps3, and i did'nt play a game on it for 3 years after i got it. Then i got rocksmith, it sucked, then the rocksmith 2014, and have played it quite a bit. then got it on the PC just to get CDLC, since my ps3 isn't modded. - To be fair, i used to be really really into video games, they were my whole life. then I turned 12. *shrug* But no, i'm not into video games, or things that have or haven't happened, unless they are big news articles that popup in my google now, then I don't know about it. i'm sorry if I offended you. but i'll look it up on google. Thanks? Edit: So after much searching i was able to find: News: Tecmo Settles Nude Patch Lawsuit as my guess to what you were talking about. They were sued for making mods to the game. by Tecmo But it was settled 4 months later out of court. so no legal precedence saying it's illegal to mod games was made. also i'm still a little confused. making inlays isn't modding the game. as much as it is making additional content for the game. you aren't exactly taking already made inlays and changing them to new ones. But Okay I guess. but does giving people the tools, telling them how, and giving them the layouts to do it, make it any different than offering them? wouldn't in both cases the people who got them and used them have the legal issues brought upon them if it went that way? oh well.. way to confusing. i don't care making the inlays, I was just curious and thought that was odd was all. thanks for pointing me in the right direction to find info.

  11. I tried to do that. but I suck at it. by the time I notice, it easily could of been the current song, the song before, or the song before that even. But since you can open the songs up in the song toolkit, and re generate them, it fixes them, I've fixed several. though i have one, that isn't on here, it's from the SmithyAnvil i tried to do that with, and it laughed at me, and said. nope. and still kills the tone.
  12. I never saw that in the original RockSmith, Though i have it on PS3. I only played it a few times. before i got tired of 'passing so many songs to move forward to new ones' and the horrible menu system. My idea here, is to help people play songs by themselves, acoustically. so 1 guitar, and vocals. But also to not just play the studio versions of the songs, but rather to convert them to something that works really well with acoustic. to have a whole new version people could go out and play. Just need to find people who would like to help me with it.
  13. I'd like to see a way to record your guitar, using the RS Tones.
  14. I know Guitar Pro will export to PDF, but will it import from it? i've never checked.
  15. Also, I think we are forgetting, Harmonix, did release BandFuse - the Sub-par, Not so great, Rocksmith competitor. I bought it the day it came out and literally have only played it once. and that was over a year ago.
  16. I dunno, But didn't Rockband 3 Allow you to use a real guitar? as well as their plastic (6 rows of buttons down the fret board guitar as well) and the keyboard, wasn't a full keyboard, but it was basically real. and the drums were pretty realistic, I remember watching a few videos of songs on Hard side by side with actually playing the song, and they were 98% exactly the same
  17. I was just thinking it'd be a fun project to do. and many people would enjoy it, and Even beginners could mostly use them to help them learn to play songs, and sing at the same time. as well as allow people to go play solo acoustic shows at their local bars/Coffee shops. If I could find a way to record from RockSmith, Tesla - What You Give, has an amazing Acoustic Tone. Then, I could pull the the drums out of the Guitar Tab File. (Or someone could tab new drums, Might be better) then I could use Addictive Drums in FL Studio, to give it 'studio drums' Then work on adding an acoustic bass, and the song would be recorded at pretty good quality. at least that's my initial thoughts. as I don't think coming up with fun acoustic versions of songs, played over the original would work very well. haha.
  18. I was just curious if anyone wanted to start a kind of Charting Group. where we make Custom Acoustic versions of popular songs. that would be fun for people to learn to sing and play on their own. I've been working on a pretty fun acoustic version of 'Watching over me' by iced earth. it has some great picking parts. I'm nearly finished working it out on the guitar. the next step would be to try to find a way to record the acoustic version. then tab it up. then learn how to make a CDLC out of it. But that's my plan, So I was thinking it'd be fun to start a group of people doing the same thing, for everyone. that is if anyone is interested. -Dev
  19. Is there a program to rename my CDLC for me? When I download CDLC i open the Page for the song and rename it as: Avenged Sevenfold - I Won't See You Tonight (Part 01) (Drop D) (Lead, Rhythm) (RR) (DD) (CT) (v1.0)_p (The Instruments are only typed out if there are only 2, if there are 3+ then i just do the first letter of each, LRBV, Etc) I also often put the suggested notes after the version number as well. Because of this, it takes a long time to download files, my Firefox, currently has roughly 392 Tabs open all of songs I want to get, but haven't had time, as it takes so long due to the renaming of them. But in general I try to spend a couple hours every few days downloading them. If there was a program to read the cdlc and name them for me based on what the song actually had, that would be great, even make it customizable so people could name them how they want too. Maybe even organize them would be nice \dlc\artist\album\ or something. I did find a file renamer program by: Darrken, from a link on: Cozy1's Tutorial page. But when I ran it, the output was: Avenged Sevenfold - I wont see you tonight Part 1 - v1.0_p So clearly that won't work for what i'm looking for. is there anything like that available? or would anyone be willing to make something like that?
  20. Is there a tool or program to check your CDLC for missing tones? It seems every time I play, My tone dies. and by the time i realize I have no idea what song caused it but I play different songs all the time, so there are likely several that are causing it. So a tool that can go through, Identify what ones ones are missing the tone, maybe even auto add in the default would be nice, as it would stop the tone from dying, (which then causes me to exit the game to go back in.) I know there's a post, where they are trying to keep a list of all the songs that cause the dead tone, and I've gone through it. and recompiled many songs i have that are on that list thinking it's better to be safe than sorry. But i have roughly 8,000 songs. (not all loaded at the same time of course) but that would take forever to go through them 1 at a time, as well as that posting, plus the versions could be different that cause it as well as different people making the same song *Shrug*
  21. yeah, i figured i'd just load the tones, from different songs, i don't have a good ear to make my own. but like What you Give, by Tesla, has an amazing Acoustic tone, i can add to songs with no tone. that need acoustic. I kinda like the Cemetery Gates Distorted tone.
  22. Hello, Quick Question. I have several songs that have no Custom Tone. or tones I would like to change. So how Would I go about adding Custom Tones to a song that has none?. How would I go about changing Tones a song already has? And how would I go about setting it to Auto change tones throughout the song? I have the Toolkit. and when i load songs I can see that songs tones loaded. but it doesn't show the time they change. or how to even set one up to start with the song.. Thanks. -Dev
  23. Tested Hurt combo and Sweet Dreams combo; both will work. You must have out of date updates. Some charters have started to fix these conlicts and that's great thing... listed them as working same names. Cryin' was alreasy listed not workingc combo... rest can't test. Listed such... You know what, it could of been ProBot - Sweet Dreams, and Eurythmics, or Roy Buchanan (Official DLC) I'll test them and get back to ya. and I'm not sure what Update I'm on. 7 I think. - I did get cryin' to work however, by changing the file name of one to Cryin' and one to Cryin (I noticed the problem appeared when i made them both the same name. though that could of just been a coincidence)
