  1. I just turned them off to solve it but thought id post i case it warrants a deeper look from devs.

I am getting notifications that xxx posted in xxx. I have no connection to these songs other than i downloaded them and i have never gotten this before a few days ago unless it was a reply to my post or i was mentioned and so on. Copied and pasted best i could below. Suicidal Tendencies - Institutionalized and Rush - The Trees (i didnt even download this one until after i got the alert...)

  2. @ So now if its my class is picked I go without a song at all for a week. My option with this change went from 2 songs to no songs on the second week. I am not sure which is worse. I know which is better, 1 song!

You can keep explaining it all you want but you are suggesting to impose a change that only half the people want on the basis it worked once before when the 1 week challenge works every week...

This has gone from a vote to a debate though. At 50% both ways nothing should change. 50.1%(or more) is always needed in every situation I can think on to make a change. Make a spoof account and vote again so its not a tie. Hey it works here in the states when dead people vote.

Regardless, this is not a debate so I am done speaking on the matter.

  3. @@storm20200 Thanks for speaking for me even though the "I think" says you were speaking for yourself. I agree, all or nothing on the 2 week challenge. Nothing is stopping people from playing songs longer than a week on there own if they don't have the time to do it in the week challenge.

Having one song and lets say its in my class, now because it is 2 weeks long I have to compete on 2 songs for a week because one is on its second week and I have a new song to compete on.

If anything the 2 week needs its own class or if it does extend to 2 weeks the "winner" at week 1 should be posted and those who want to play the second week can continue to post but it wont take the "win" away from the 1 week "winner"

  4. @@Yippee38 Don't feel you are to beginner to play here. I have never won or even come close to winning the Beginner challenge. Actually some of my scores are quite pathetic at 50-60's on lead. For me its not about winning its about playing songs I may never have tried before and feeling good when I can post a worthy score and then post again with a higher score.

You have to play for your own reasons but don't think you are to new to be involved, everyone starts somewhere. BTW Blink 182 Rhythm is probably the easiest thing to play this week. Sorry about the Zombie. It is probably a bit fast for beginners and a bad pick on my part even though I know how much the bassist are loving the workout:) Most weeks it is more tame then my pick. I just like speed metal...

  5. Got my Bass strung up and DT imo is easier to play than Zombie on bass. I used emulated in my last comment on it. It just feels right on a the bass compared to the emulated. Dont know how else to explain it but to show my increased score.

@Peon - Is a very fun song to play. I have quite a few play through and its no less fun now than the first time i played it. its probably more fun now that i know whats coming next in the song. I may be able to play it without RS showing me the notes.... that would be odd.

  6. @@MilkmanDan Going with your numbered system I would give both Zombie and DT a 7. They are both equally hard but for different reason, one may be hard for you but easier for me. MY frethand goes stupid when I play things like DT but Zombie is more my style of choice(even though I love DT) so the speed changes don't effect me as much as the constant up and down and all around of better bassists. I am much better on my pick hand than my fret hand as far as switching strings but you really need both for DT with using all 4 strings.

So both a solid 7 because if any harder of a bass song came on they could both be classed down but could serve as MC. ME getting 90's says its more Int though.

  7. @@MilkmanDan I feel Dream Theater is harder than Zombie. Moving up and down the fret board is much easier for me personally than moving up and down the fret board while constantly changing strings also even though its a slower song.

I had a 89% on my first play through on Zombie and a 91% on my second. I have been playing the guitar less than a year and bass less than 3 months. Maybe its because I have 30 playthroughs on the lead section that I know the bassline better but I am a huge Dream Theater fan as well and know the songs quite well in my head.

Regardless its a fun week for bass players

  8. First Bass entries. I think DT needs to be MC over WZ but im not in that class so... Alot of moving on the fretboard on DT where WZ is just as we see:) very painful to play:) Regardless a very fine week to be a bass player.

    WZ 91 - http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=308666722

  10. I like the split bass and lead categories. I picked Zombie because it isn't tough but isn't so slow and boring like most beginner bass songs are. Last week was 1 friggin string open and 2 frets if I remember right. Was so boring I didn't even want to try for a 100% after a 99 on my first try.

    Playing some songs now:)

  11. @@Hostilian Rust in Peace looking back is my favorite album though growing up peace sells and so far, good, what were because it fit me more as a kid growing up. Meaning it spoke to me more.

I have the Rust in Peace Studio Master Tracks. All the guitars, drums and singing all each on there own track. Its great to hear everything separate as it feels like a new album almost.

@@NoonyDeloony Liar is hilarious. In my Darkest Hour was huge for me growing up(not knowing what it actually meant) it was something I could listen to when depressed.

  12. I think Mustaine synched the best vocally on the Youthinasia and Rust in peace albums, not a big fan of Countdown because it was "popular" and everyone was playing Megadeth for the first time on there stereo's when I was a diehard fan. So a little bias.

Five Magics and Tornado of Souls are my favorites though.

    Sorry Noony, misinterpreted your comment.
