i dont get the like thing. I am not a social media person. Do you just like everything? I like posts that are bass or songs i like with good scores. i get likes and am unsure why often. Maybe someone can explain the rules or point behind likes.

Great song to learn to play the correct string always. Found myself getting lazy and plucking the wrong string. I give it a 2.5.

Man am i glad this changed. Not because it was hard, but because I didnt want to hear it again:)

I would have liked to play more of this during the week. I only have my first play through to post because I have to prepare for a war in my city. BLM threatening to burn down my city of St. Louis MO. Verdict will be released at 3pm CST today and I have spent the last few days "preparing" my weapons rather than tuning my guitars. This may be a big one, tune in to your news channel, its going to be a riot(pun intended).

Well I figured I'd give this a try since I'm just beginning my guitar journey.  Suprisingly enough I started this week only being able to get 14%.

Well i wish I had given this more time during the week. Just a couple extra plays and I really got the swing of it(pun intended). Maybe I can get some in before closing time tomorrow.

Stupid song and it wont recognize notes out of no where notes. Perhaps my cord is going bad? Its hard to fail at such a simple song but I managed to do it. G...G...G...miss...WTF!!!

And well I have to play Megadeth no matter how bad I do.

It was pointed out to me that I was not playing the current version of Floyd. This would be the second week in a row that someone playing the wrong version would get 1st place. I ask that you reject my prior score because it was the wrong version thus giving the lead to Shocked Mind as it should have been last week. I then counter with the correct version.

A song I have been listening to for over 30 years and I only get a couple of plays on it. Hopefully get to play some more in the morning before the week ends.

Shocked wins at keeping a beat again! Just got 100 using a pick since my fingers are still blisters. It is hard to play Rush and Dream Theater, but much much harder with a pick.

Elvis Passed 40 years ago today. I was only learning to walk or fall at this point but he meant a lot to so many out there. This is all I could muster for you Elvis because of Tom Petty and my bleeding fingers.

Can I call a timeout? Injury on the field. Blood blisters is what I get from playing Tom Petty....and the finger breakers. Pick feels so wrong so this will be it for me I think. I am only left wondering which of the nearly 1400 notes did I miss :angry:

Oh man, this might be a tough week for me. I love Runnin' Down a Dream, but I play with my fingers exclusively, and this song on bass is a constant, unbroken stream of eighth notes throughout (except for the chorus, which is still mostly eighth notes) at 170bpm. I played this song once a few months ago and couldn't even finish i because my fingers got too tired maybe two thirds of the way through.

 

This song made me think maybe I should learn to play with a pick, though playing with my fingers is one of things I liked about the bass in the first place. I've literally never even touched a bass pick. Matter of fact, I've never even seen one live in person.

 

I did play the song a second time a couple of weeks ago and did get through it okay, but I don't know how many times in a row I'll be able to manage.

I hear ya. I am just now starting on it because I was recouping from last week. I thought my fingers were callused enough, seems they aren't.

I use to use a Dunlop Jazz 3 max grip that Petrucci uses when I transitioned from guitar to bass. I have never seen a sign off wearing on it like my cheapy fender ones did. They lasted about a week on the bass.

Is something special planned for week 198 ?? :P

Just because RS passes the in tune check because you played in E last time you played doesn't mean you are... I should get in the habit of checking via the tuner more often :o

This may well have been a 100% week if I could just get the D after the open E to recognize with any consistency. Doesn't look like many played it, it may just be me.. I will try some more in the morning i suppose. Sucks when you do better on MC than Beginner.

Also, I've noticed my game's volume is very low even at 100%... They said disabling audio exclusivity would solve it but whenever I disable it, my Realtone Cable doesn't work. Any advice?

I have it disabled in game but it enabled in the sound options through windows. RS always pops up on game start telling me it needs exclusive but I never have a problem. Check your cable properties where you go to change it to dvd quality during your first setup.

Has anyone played Queensryche on bass? Is that really a 3? Wondering cause my score was almost 100 on the first run.

@@Tonedef - man, i really cannot see any discrepancy here, not that we Orgas dont like to quarrel a bit from time to time, but it just is not there.

 

As we both stated: No, we wont make a list and No there are not gonna be any extra songs added to the weeks!

The list was an idea and not even the point of me responding. To me, The previous post reads as no on everything and to only just let us know when you want to move up and if you want to do it the old school way, wait till a song is available. I am happy to go back ourselves from previous songs and use those to level up, that is essentially "the list" without you calling it as such.

Sorry, i am not trying to make waves. was simply trying to make sure you all were on board. I will go back to my corner now.
