  1. @@albatross213 Played the two Stones songs and Billie Jean. 19th Nervous Breakdown - The lead tone now is acoustic, but it should be kind of a twangy electric. I've got a Link Wray tone that might work for the lead. The rhythm tone should be electric as well with a little tremolo. Here's the two Link Wray tones w/ and w/o tremolo. Charting looks good, but the acoustic tone was really soft, so hard to be really sure so far. Street Fighting Man - The volume on the acoustic tone is really low. I've gone as high as -35db with that tone if it's in a really loud song, but somewhere in the low 30's is probably where you want to be. Again, charting looks good, but couldn't hear the tone in a lot of places. Billie Jean (The Chair is not my Son) - Tone volume needs to go up at least 1db, maybe 2. Charting looks good. Just a couple minor tone adjustments and you should be fine. You can repost if you make changes and I'll give them another try to check volumes, etc. Thanks again for the kind words.
  2. @@avdocatwork It's been in the high 80's with humidity usually above 60-70% all week. Then this morning it was 59F and is supposed to be in the 60's for the next week. Never could understand why anyone would choose to live here. We've got hot, humid summers and cold, snowy winters. It seems like Fall and Spring each last about two weeks here. Got a roof over my head and food in my belly, so I shouldn't complain. Thanks for all the well wishes, guys!
  3. Thanks, @@jbroch. Will let you guys know what we find out.
  4. Hey guys, Taking a short break from charting tunes and playing a lot of guitar. Energy levels have gotten really low lately. Going to be trying some new medications in the next week or so that should help. Need to have to have an MRI on my brain to check for tumors on the pituitary/hypothalmus. On the road to figuring this thing out and hopefully getting it resolved. @@albatross213 Will try to give your songs a play tonight and report back.
  5. @@avdocatwork Hey, Terry, Hey Jude lead sounds like the tuning is off to me. Or maybe it's supposed to use a capo on 1? There's also a chord in there with a 1 to 7 fret spread that Ed "Too Tall" Jones would have a problem hitting (I remember his big mitts from Sports Illustrated). The rhythm is good, no tuning issues which makes me think there's probably a capo on the lead. Yardbirds - Psycho Daisy is a cool little tune. The tone volumes are pretty low, probably need to go up a couple db at least. There are some slides on the power chords in the 3rd section that need some tails on them. Everything else looks good.
  6. @@avdocatwork Will try to play the new tunes in the next 24 hrs. The new Madden is keeping me busy lately.
  7. @@avdocatwork Don't ask that guy in the circle how he says 'hello' or let him put his finger in your mouth.
  8. I like the mayor's quote when he and Dean Wormer are discussing the homecoming parade: "... If you mention extortion again, I'll have your legs broken." I think JB might be planning a toga party now that he knows he's on double-secret probation. Don't know if you meant to do it, but "I've got a lot of catching up to do" is also a quote from the movie. One of my favorite blues guitarists Robert Cray is part of Otis Day and the Knights. They've got him playing a sax, I think, in the movie for some odd reason.
  9. @@avdocatwork Played lead, rhythm, and bass (just for fun) on the new Beatles' songs. This Boy - Great tune, not too hard to play. Only 5 or 6 chords I've never seen before, so that's pretty good for a Beatles' song. Tone sounds really good for L and R. Penny Lane - Are these chords in this song or writing on the outside of an alien space ship? Everything looks and sounds good as far as I can tell. I thought the song was out of tune at first then quickly learned it was my playing. I won't even tell you what my score was, too embarrassing.
  10. @@avdocatwork Terry, Will give the two new Bealtes' songs a play this evening. Keep the Beatles coming. Love them, just feel like a fool trying to play them. Working on three new Link Wray songs, including the Batman theme song, plus redoing an old one. Hope to have them done in the next couple of days.
  11. @@jbroch Sorry, I was referring to my "shortcomings", not yours.
  12. I hope she thinks good things come in small packages.
  13. To our German speaking friends, is there an English translation for "Zicke zacke, zicke zacke, hoi hoi hoi"? American alcoholics need to know this info.
  14. @@JamesPrestonUK The tv channel Velocity covers the Goodwood Festival here in the states each year, usually a two-hour special. A real trip there would be one to tick off the bucket list. I've raced up the hill at Goodwood via video game, and I am an expert at clipping the walls on the last two turns. We're trying to catch up with road racing in the US, especially with the Tudor Series, but are still way behind compared to all the great racing you have. I'm also a rugby junky. I'll watch anything, Aviva, Pro 12, Super Rugby, two old ladies rucking in the street, I don't care. No league or 8's, though.
  15. @@Aludog Make sure you don't drop that book on your foot, or the cat.
  16. @@JamesPrestonUK Played Next to You. Song volume is a little low. Tone is a bit soft and needs a tad more distortion. I unpacked the song, turned the song volume up to -5db and added a little volume and distortion to the default tone you were using and it sounds nice. Here's the tone I used: Next to You Rhythm tone. As Avdoc said, there are some chords missing from the end of the song, just repeating the D5 and E over and over, easy fix. With the sections not working in Riff Repeater, it's most likely because the measure you placed that section in might not have any notes in it, or the notes are in the second half of the measure. For some reason, this causes Rocksmith to think there's nothing in those sections and won't let you access them. Try to place them on the first beat of a measure that has a note on it, or you can use a 2/4, 3/4, or 5/4 measure to get the note on the first beat. For example, if you do a 3/4 measure for you section, then do your next measure as 5/4 to balance out your 4/4 time over two measures, then go back to 4/4. I've had to do that a bunch of times. Just curious, was there a lead with the slide parts in the tab? Like your Ferrari pics on your website. Are you a motorsports fan? Would love to do a vacation and visit Silverstone, Snetterton, Oulton, Donnington, Rockingham, Brands Hatch, etc. Wish I could still get BTCC races. That was my favorite series out of them all.
  17. @@JamesPrestonUK Will play the Police tonight (and try not to get shot by them). This is Chicago after all.
  18. @@jbroch If you saw me play, you'd be even more confused. @@avdocatwork "Ichi, ni, san" is all the Japanese I learned from judo, unless I can work "o soto gari" into a conversation.
  19. Welcome, @@JamesPrestonUK. Happy belated current birthday @@albatross213. @@avdocatwork Norwegian Wood is a lot of fun to play. Took me a little while to get that transition between chords down. When I used that first fret G string finger as an anchor, it became a lot more manageable. Like the tones and volumes. I was thinking of how to recreate that sitar sound, but the tone you used sounds good, and I wouldn't know where to start to make a sitar tone anyway. This will be a big hit with the Beatles fans. Edit: albatross says, "As for sitar tones, there actually is an official one in Paint It Black." Might want to check that out. Michelle Ma Belle was not so easy. With the Beatles, I'm always floored by how complex the guitar is when the song sounds so simple. I guess that's their genius. Volumes and tones are good. The only thing I caught was in the lyrics. Supposed to be "tres bien ensemble" with no a in "ensemble". That's putting my seven years of French to good use.
  20. @@avdocatwork Will give Norwegian Wood a shot tonight, or tomorrow if I fall asleep before then.
  21. @@albatross213 Played the latest version and everything was lined up. Tuning sounds like it's correct.
  22. @@jbroch Do you think the bass volume needs to go up at all? Doesn't sound very loud in the video. Thanks again.
