  1. @Crossbolt242 Hurts So Good and Against the Wind look and sound good. The Pretty Reckless - Sometimes it can be hard to hear the tone over the song on my setup.
  2. @@RSBass I didn't think there were any other Free songs done yet, except for All Right Now. Sorry, my bad. I don't know if they are similar or different. I wish I knew, I could have saved myself a lot of time.
  3. Likewise, Jerry. I don't know what it's like by you guys, but the personal firework stashes people have around here are crazy. It's no longer bottle rockets and jumping jacks. Now, it's 6" mortars and 4" salutes and it's solid from noon til 2 a.m. Let the bombardment begin!
  4. @ must play King Crimson or forever change his name. It is law.
  5. Terry, Agreed, it is fast. And since I'd heard that song on the radio a thousand times, I knew what the rhythm was before playing it. If I didn't, I'd have no chance. I had to play it a couple of times to get the hang of it, but the chord changes aren't really that hard. Gets easier once you get that strumming pattern down. For a beginner first sitting down to that song at 100%, it's going to blow their mind. They'll have to use DD.
  6. @@Crossbolt242 I have to disagree with @@avdocatwork about the speed for Mellencamp. I thought it was good. If you slow it down, all the chord panes are going to overlap each other. If someone plays it using DD, it will be much slower depending on the difficulty. Just my 2 cents.
  7. Bienvenue, @@Antithez Terry, The "mention" feature doesn't always work. Sometimes it puts the username up but doesn't link it to anything. If you use Fripp's "@ [ member=TexasTwister]", it should work all the time.
  8. @@jbroch Thanks for the playthrough and kind words. Trying to build a working studio version of Free's Mr. Big. It has an incredible bass solo, but I have a chart for the live version and bass for the studio version, so it's gonna take some work. Thanks, again. @@Crossbolt242 Mellencamp - Hurt So Good is a shitload of fun to play on L and R. It's easier to play than it looks. Good tone. At times, the song volume can drown out the tone, at least on my setup. @@albatross213 Played King Crimson L & R - Discipline at 50% speed. I still looked like a total meathead. The tone sounds good to me. Charting looks good. My playing looks like shit.
  9. @albatross213 Do you live anywhere near Einstein's home?
  10. Welcome, Albatross. Jerry, Sorry to hear we lost one of the greatest bassists ever, Chris Squire. Cross, Will try Mellencamp tonight.
  11. Thanks, Terry. I think it's just a personal preference on the volume. You like yours a little louder than mine. Could just be different setups, too. As long the song isn't overpowering the tone or vice versa, people can easily adjust their pc volumes up or down a bit. But they'll bitch and moan all the same. Thanks again.
  12. Another Free song ready for testing: Free - Wishing Well for L, R, B, V. I like these Free tunes. A couple play throughs and I can actually sound like I know what I'm doing, for once. Thanks.
  13. @@avdocatwork Great job on these Beach Boys songs. California Girls - Great tone, sounds awesome Help Me Rhonda and Kokomo both sound good. Surfin' USA - everything seems good, except for that little solo at the end, like you said
  14. Terry, Will give the Beach Boys songs another run tonight. Saw you posted a new article in the CRC page but it says I don't have permission to view it.
  15. Terry, Do you mean the way Ignition is set up, you don't have to go the song page to download? Instead, people just download from the Ignition page and don't ever see all the notes and comments. If that's what you mean, I've heard others complaining about that. About those ficken trolls, don't know what you can do about them except ridicule them in the comments. I did that with Mac66 and now he only posts how much he loves my songs. Let me know if someone needs a verbal smacking and I'll go after them in the comments. I enjoy calling out idiots and pointing out their stupidity though fact.
  16. @@avdocatwork Played the three Beach Boys songs. California Girls - Charting looks good. The tone for rhythm sounds a bit muted. The first tone on the lead should be a cleaner tone. Now, it's got a lot of distortion on it. Kokomo - Tone is tough for this one 'cause there's no guitar in the song, at least that I can hear. If it were me, I'd go with something bright and shiny sounding to go along with the song, maybe something with some stereo chorus. Charting looks good. Help Me Rhonda - Looks real good. The tone can get drowned out by the song, especially in the chord sections and the louder single note sections on lead. That's just on my setup. If it sounds good on yours, then disregard. My favorite to play of the three. Grew up with the Beach Boys albums on cassette when I was a kid, always loved em.
  17. Terry, Hope to get to the Beach Boys tunes tonight. Trying to finish up Free - Wishing Well tonight.
  18. @avdocatwork Thanks, man. Got a couple more Free songs in the works, hopefully with bass. Nice, slow simple riffs for idiots like me.
  19. Hello all, Just finished up another Free song, Free - I'm a Mover for lead and rhythm. No bass. If you get a chance, let me know what you think. Avdoc, you'll like this one. The rhythm is much more fun than the lead. First song I put together with the new guitar. These pickups aren't as loud as my last ones and have a different sound, so I'm interested to hear what you think about tones and volumes.
  20. Torkk, Rush - Where's My Thing. The speed on the lead needs to be turned up, probably .4 or so.
  21. Terry, I added a sound card to my pc a while back and, to be honest, the standard onboard Windows audio controller was better. I think my sound card was about $70 on Amazon, so it wasn't a real high end one. The problem I had was the volume of the sound card was a lot lower than Windows audio. The audio might have been a tiny bit better with the card, but not enough to really notice. Just a thought.
