@@albatross213 I updated the files in the link. Do you think this is good enough? I don't know why but sometimes it feels there is a delay in the sound/clapping of the notes with what I see on screen so I would appreciate a second opinion. It's first time I really noticed this with trying to sync this song (synced 2 other songs before who didn't seem to have that problem). EoF also crashes a lot more too than when I was working on the other songs. No idea why. @@PC Plum Haha I know. Just having a lot harder time with this song than the 2 previous ones I synced. And I kept resetting all the beat markers everytime I 'synced' the song because I wasn't satisfied. So I just kept losing a lot of time because of that, had no progress and was almost giving up trying to sync the song. That's why I asked for a second opinion here. @@A51Ripcord Thanks I'll check it out, the spectogram could come in handy. But looks like I'm already doing most of what he says in the video. This song just has a lot of off-beat notes wich makes it a lot harder, and a ring to the notes wich makes it hard (at least for me) to properly sync them

@@albatross213 Yeah that's my biggest issue, some notes seem to be "early" but I'm alays doubting how much I can move them when looking at the wave graph. As they seem to have a long ring to them with a spike wich makes it hard to tell if the beat actually is near the spike or somewhere along the curve leading up to the spike. And a lot of the notes are off-beat too so that doesn't really make it easier :lol: And you are right, I can probably best remove the last measures of the 'outro' since you can't really hear any notes. As it was pretty hard to sync them up too since it's barely hearable. I'll fiddle around a bit more and might upload a better version later when I feel I made some progress, and if you are willing to have another look at it again. But already a big thanks for taking the time of helping me!

Not sure if this is the proper forum section to ask this. I'm trying to sync a song but I spend at least a few hours retrying to sync it now and somehow I always get the feeling it's a bit off so I go trough it everytime and at this point it feels like I'm zoning out and focus either too much on the wave graph or the song so I never get it truly in sync. I would appreciate it if anyone would be willing to have a look at it or help me and make a proper beatmap (might be easier than just trying to correcting my mistakes :D) because it's driving me crazy and it feels like I am just wasting countless hours at this point. I'm uploading the whole folder with files so I don't miss any files if someone is willing to help me with the beatmap. @@Tysylio Very confused with the anchors, I placed one to see what it does, but now when I try to change a beat marker it moves seperatly from the others instead of being linked so everything shifts. (now it looks random, some beat markers change with it, but most places I try don't) Is there a way to revert that? Not sure if it's because of the beat marker or I just did something by accident. (I was using the standard beatmap and placed the anchor in the middle) Tried removing the anchor but didn't seem to do anything It looks to be the beatmarkers where I manually typed in a new bpm. Is this normal?

Ah for some reason I tought changing the bpm changed everything before that beat too. Hmm not sure how I could even miss that because I defenitly tried that, at least I think I did. What do you mean with grander tempo change? Are the anchor points more to make your own beat markers? Because I usually always start out with the default one and then change bpm/sync everything up myself.

I probably missed it somewhere, but is it possible to change bpm somewhere during the song so all following beat markers have the new, constant bpm? Or do you have to set up every beat marker seperatly?

@@cozy1 Yup I had no problem importing them in the toolkit when I removed the caps in the file name (PRFLDB)

I tried to import the tone again with the file I uploaded (after removing the caps) and it's working fine for me. I reuploaded my profile here again (still has the caps) maybe you can find out what's wrong by comparing them. Thanks that worked for me. Not sure why the save I uploaded didn't have tones to import, since it works fine for me and I'm fairly sure it's the exact same file. I had a feeling the name could have messed up something, because the name was so long, so I tried it with removing like more than half of them in the name, but never tought it would have been the caps :lol: Any idea why it was saved in caps for me? Maybe because my profile name starts with a letter in caps? Anyway, thanks for the fast responses. Much appreciated.

What do you exactly mean? As far as I am aware, the cloud is just a backup and just syncs the most recent files. I also copied the file to the desktop and tried importing the tones from there to see if it wasn't steam that was interfering. And like I said, after that, I also tried a completely new profile (with cloud sync off) and got the same error anyway

Nothing seems to work (only thing I did not try with the fix was checking the reset uplay rewards) I even tried a completely new save/profile (removing all files in the 221680/remote and turning cloud saving off in steam) where I just quickly saved a custom tone but still have the same problem. Was going to try offline mode too but couldn't find a seperate save file for that. So I'm out of idea's on how to make it work. Is there a possible other method I can use? Or do you think removing customs would help?

Hmm not sure what's going on then. I was using the release build, switched to the test build and it's still the same. I have 2 custom tones saved in the game. After I get the warning and try again I also get an error that the file is still in use by rocksmith toolkit so I guess, like you said, it's something wrong when unpacking the save file. Not sure how to go from here tough. Any ideas? Maybe a log I can turn on?

Hi. I am trying to import some custom tones I made ingame to try out with the song but I keep getting an "invalid package" error. Anyone know how to fix that? I was following the tutorial I put below trying to import the file 8DA9CBC1BA1A4B368D48903D58917780_PRFLDBon path C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\userdata\...USER ID..\221680\remote It just tells me everytime 'Can't import tones, invalid package' Importing official dlc tones works without a problem, not sure what I am doing wrong with this one. Did anything change in the process?

Thanks for the help guys. The leading silence problem is somehow solved now. So I must have done something wrong somewhere, it was not the re-encoding since I'm fairly sure I did that because I was following the tutorial. Took me also a while to figure out I can actually use the pro guitar section for rocksmith too. I assumed that wouldn't work so I was confused with the low options at first since I was only looking at the rocksmith section I found the general topic with how to create cdlc that explains the basics of EoF, but besides that I haven't found any descent more in-depth youtube tutorial or even written tutorial. Most are very basic and don't explain anything like how to link notes/slides etc. Only found snippets of it on this forum and the official EoF one, so it took me a while to put everything together. I think I have a better grasp of the possibilities now tough. (Like for example the linknext option is always greyed out but apperantly you can just use the shortcut for that, wich was confusing to say the least) Maybe you misunderstood the question, or I'm misunderstanding the answer. I know how to edit the fingerings for notes/chords. But what I mean is if it's possible to put the thumb as a fingering on the low E string? I assume it would be noted as "0"? I already did that but I don't know if the program will accept it, since I have still numerous other fingerings open and the program tells me that when trying to save but I'll do all of that when I have everything properly synced first. So I haven't been able to figure out if the "0" is accepted as a fingering or not. ---- Also have still one more question (sorry for being so random :D ) Is it possible to extend the sustain of a note further than the next note? Because when you scoll the mouse the sustain stops at the next note. I found out you can use linknext option and then turn it off to get the sustain longer but I doubt that's the proper way to do that

Well the thing is, I saved it after the leading silence. I guess I can just remake that, but didn't want to mess up my save so wanted to ask first. I just have to load the notes.eof file right? Because everytime I do the silence is gone in the audio but the notes are still in the right place Is that the only way to get an audio file in the project? Basically I just transposed the song one semi-tone up so I could quickly check it in rocksmith without having to detune to Eb. So I just made a new project and loaded in the XML file. I saw the difficulty system change and clicked on some of the tabs, maybe I just missed that one. Does that change anything for in Rocksmith itself? Like, do I need to put the notes in the right tab? And how would I be able to do that? I already looked for tutorials for EoF but most are just show very basic things. Edit Also, is there a way to either avoid having to put fingering on (half-)chords, or put the thumb as a fingering for a note on the low E string? And how do you properly make a slide note? Because the slider option is always greyed out in the notes tab for me. And I haven't even figured out vibrato yet. Trough the guitarpro file it added vibrato (letter V) under notes automatically but I have no idea to do it myself Or maybe just a good tutorial you can recommend? Since I haven't found any in depth ones yet

How do you properly load a save in EoF? When I load my notes.eof file the leading silence I added to the audio dissapeared. Do you have to add in the silence everytime you load the file? And do you have to make the preview audio again first? --- Is it possible to load the notes over a different audio track? Whenever I try loading the *.XML file the notes never show up

If I practice songs I usually use "Transcribe" very usefull and easy to use program in my opinion, I always use it to slow down parts of a song or even change the tuning of a song from Eflat to Estandard. Then just use guitar pro to tab out a song, and I guess the next step is Editor on Fire. I only started working on cdlc so don't have that much experience myself yet.

SOLVED Well just as I posted this I figured it out....it's a septuplet. (so instead of the 7:3 I had to make it 7:4) Don't know why I didn't try it before. Since I can't remove the post, maybe someone might find it of use. --------------------- I'm using guitar pro 6 currently to tab a song out but I am again stuck with a rhythm I don't understand where they come up with the notation. I know it's not crucial to get everything right to make a cdlc, but I like the practice since I usually practice/learn songs with tabs rather than rocksmith. First image is the original tablature from the songbook and second one is what I have in guitarpro, wich you notice is red because the measure doesn't fit. (And yes, I noticed I messed up a bit on the last part of the whammy bar part) I have tried several things so far to make the measure fit into the 4/4 beat but it doesn't work. So far I figured out the notes with the number 6 above them are 2 triplets, but I'm clueless with what the number 7 means under the notes just before that. I can't figure out what the rhythm is supposed to be and since it's all with a whammy bar it's too hard for me to be able to figure out by ear. If anyone has any ideas.

I am currently transcribing Villanova Junction by Jimi Hendrix. But I'm having a few problems currently and was wondering if someone would be kind enough to have a quick look at it. I am using the track audio from the album 'people, hell and angels' because it was the only one I found that is not live. Now, I had original tabblature from the song but some things are off. The tab said the song is in standard tuning but that doesn't seem to be the case and I am having a hard time figuring out the exact tuning. It always feels slightly off. I have used 'transcribe' to make the original audio a half step higher because it sounded like it was in Eb tuning (and it's just easier to work with for me at the moment to test things out). But it still sounds off a bit. I tried A444 tuning (for some reason I have to set the frequency to 445 for that in the song toolkit program, or it shows A443 tuning when loading the song in Rocksmith). Could also just be that my guitar is slightly off in the middle of the fretboard wich just might make it sound out of tune so I would greatly appreciate a second oppinion. I'm putting all the files onto dropbox (just so I don't forget a file someone might need to look into this) . I'm not looking for people to do anything for me but to steer me in the right direction so I don't have to waste too much time not knowing what to do. And in case you check the cdlc file, everything is place holder (not the right tone, some parts slightly out of sync etc). Ah I see, thanks for the help. Should have known an import wouldn't be "that" easy Anyway I don't mind perfecting the tab in guitar pro first. It's a good excercice for me, but I see what you are saying. I fixed all the rhythm problems by now, wich I had to fix anyway since the measures wheren't in 4/4. But I guess I'll just move on for now and see how everything else works first because I have the feeling it won't be as easy as I tought :D

Hmm. Weird some links where broken. I fixed them, even tough they are exactly the same. Also could have added some info with each of them, sorry about that. I guess I rushed it a bit after going crazy about all these problems. Basically first two of the pics I posted aren't rhythmically correct. Guitar Pro shows them as red, meaning they don't fit in the 4/4 rythm. What I tought what was wrong, was the connection of the triplets has the red 3. Usually that happens when the triplet isn't possible. Even tough guitarpro placed the regular triplet symbol under the notes. I tried the special tool for triplets and made it a 5/3, wich sounds good but the rhytm is still off as it still shows red. I guess the original tab might just be wrong considering that it isn't properly notated in (3) either. So I might just try out a few things. the first triplet. Not sure what the problem was, maybe I only just now noticed I messed that first triplet up. Or it didn't work. One or the other.. . . Well figured out I messed up the rhythm for the 7-5-7-5 pair there. What you say about this makes sense. Maybe the notation is just weird on the original tabs. Because I found it weird that whole part was linked. Meaning the 3-5--3 and 5-3-5 afterwards...just checked and that was the problem. I have no idea on how to do the 3/4 bend in guitarpro with the bend starting pre-beat. I have no idea on how to do the (5-7) trill properly. Or at least not how to extend it like that in guitar pro. So the main problem is the first one I guess, I have still a few problems with rythm like the first two in the tab but I'm going to try to solve those by myself first. I just think I need a break from it because I overlooked too much things apperantly. Anyway, thanks for the fast help! btw what do you mean with polish? I am kind of stuck on a few rythms to get them into guitarpro tough. Any idea if there is a sub forum here to ask questions for that?
