Show must go on. This words from Queen's classic fits perfectly to the start of new Rocksmith Championship week. As you all know, @@Joey, the long time RC Organizer, stepped down from his role last week. For long time he was here, to give us this wonderfull oportunity to participate in championship. But that's hard work. Still he was doing all he could, combining that with work and family. But time, time is running away fast and @@Joey realized that. He no longer could sacrifice his personal life, not to this degree. He withdraw, but didn't left. He still will be part of this community and will be always welcome to post. Not only his scores but also warm words. As we all remember he was here to cheer and praise, taking pride from seeing us become better and better every week. @@Dennis430 Nice scores you got there :) Now you rank 2nd in all 3 categories. Well done. Check out Song Selection List as it's getting close to selecting songs for next week. One of the reasons I started to participate in Championship was to share my music taste around. Fortunately for me I was able to discover bands I never heard of, and most likely would never consider listening to (like Metric, which is not my genre as a Metallica fan). All of you - great scores and we still have one more day :)

I was getting lost here and there but overall RR helped quite a lot. It's really fun to play it (even if you're poor :) ). The greatest part of my experience with Championship is finding out Metric. This band rocks! It immediately become one of my favorite songs and more I play Priest's now, I'm starting to like them more (though, no chance at beating Metallica :P ). Tapping part is fun and not too difficult :) I did bass, but DD don't like me in this song, have to practice it a little bit :D Awesome selection of songs this week :D

But I got bubble on my pointing finger from sweep hand-up-picking (well). Still, satisfied with the result.

Maybe with some practice (as I played it first time, except intro part) I could get better result, but I have no more time. Besides it's rhythm :)

I did not liked to slow down and practice in Guitar Hero and it's same here. Still, sometimes you have to see it slow to know what to do but I can't get the slower rhythm. RRing is frustrating, so if I'm doing it, it's only short period of time.

Ah, so this is sweep picking. I was experimenting with that, not knowing what it trully is. I noticed Hetfield doing this at one song and tried to do similiar thing. It looks easier than it is :D @@NoonyDeloony I will have nightmares :D

@@firekorn Don't Fear the Ripper by Blue Oyster Cult is perfect example of what @@MilkmanDan says. Both Lead and Rhythm parts have solos in. And like him, I prefer when I'm getting to play exactly what that guitarist do. Though I'm in guitar because of lead parts and solos. And I love when multiple guitarists are playing solo at the same time (e.i.: harmony solo from One or this awesome solo parts from The Day That Never Comes).
