I don't know if people will be interested, but recently looking for stuff and try and help the children learn the guitar.   Came across https://guitarbots.com/   There is a free section, and a subscription section as well. What I found good, was that it worked with my Rocksmith cable - this is because Windows 7 picks up the cable as a USB mic.   Give it a look over, especially if you're just starting out.

I use guitarbots to learn acords on my aucustic. Works great with the mic in my headphones.
