The problem is that I didn't have much time to try to do it, I installed Reaper but I still don't understand how it works, I based it on this short description from Caca's post. Based on that I managed to record one rhythm track, I wanted to add something with Lead (mini solo) and add a Bass track, but I don't know how to combine multiple tracks.

You mentioned that you can't record while playing Rocksmith so I didn't try it, I played watching a YT video.

I'm going away for 2 days so I won't have more time to work on it this week unfortunately. I did anything to start and so you can start presenting your professional covers 😉

As I mentioned, I just recorded my playing using Reaper, I didn't change any tones, but I thought the default sounded good.

When it comes to recording multiple tracks, I'll come back to this with questions later 😉

Thank you @ robolechuga  && @ Willyam . I saw some guitarists doing it like this. I have just tried it and it's very strange to do. Of course we need more songs this chords like those to practice this method. But I can purely say I can't do it right now. Intro with 2 strings OK but in the middle with 3 strings... heh...

OK RS. I played this one with COMPLETELY detuned guitar!

You can enter the world of Amp Sims, Modeling and Captures for free with Tonocracy  https://tonocracy.com/.  I have not used it yet, but it comes with some Neural Amp Modeler built which I have heard a lot of great things and this app looks solid, it's 100% free, so why not.

I have to go work on getting my cover started.  I think I will start by learning the song better.

Just going to say, I tried Tonocracy last night after the recommendation.  It is solid.  Has some great amp sims, a handful of effects and good IRs.  You can load NAM captures in it with a simple drag and drop.  Opens a huge world of free options for recording with quality amp models and captures.   Also visit https://www.tone3000.com/ for NAM models

Thx @ Mikson !!! It was time to give Master Bowie a closer look. I´m a bit late here cause i hired a singer - my wonderfiul daughter to support me. Man she´s such a pro - her recording session hardly 40mins, and she never did anything like that. Thank you my love!!!! What did we do?
I wanted to do a small version as that song is sooooooooooooo big. So i did a acoustic playthrough captured with 2 mics. Then i did the soloparts i felt them and ... again as i feel it´s a sad song a disturbing finish of course.
Sang along and ..... then saw my daughter killing it absolutely at the semester-ending concert of her music-school where she has some vocal coaching, so deleted my vocaltrack and went negotiating which went extremely well taking into acount the mind of a 13 yo. Today we found some time to the vocal recording.
I threw all into Reaper and did some mixing and mastering i learned over the week.

Getting my submissions in a bit earlier this week because we actually have sun in Ireland today and I need to get back to mowing my lawn!

This was a nice beginner song, good little solo and some gallops in the verse to keep you honest. I hadn't heard this one before but no doubting it's a Muse song. I'm sure everyone knows of their stuff but sure I'll stick some of my suggestions here:

1. Knights of Cydonia

2. Plug In Baby

3. Hysteria

4. Uprising

5. Time is Running Out

Hadn't heard of these guys before but really enjoyed this song; not gonna lie though, the chords threw me on my first playthrough.

Same as before, hadn't heard of this guys and I was once again fooled by the umlaut, always makes me think I'm going to be playing some extreme black metal! This was real fun to play, could get lost in the main riff and the singer had a real nice to his voice.

Gave this one a single go and it was just a blur! Good fun but I decided to focus on Star Rider a bit more this week.

Can definitely see why this was in a space theme week, Paul Gilbert has to be from another planet. Gave it a go just for the hell of it and it chewed me up and spat me back out, a truly humbling experience! Admitetly, I don't know much from his solo work so I'll just add songs that I know he has played on:

4. Boku No Atama (bit out there but good fun!)

Nah as i mentioned in my bass post I thought it was a different song called "be my fire" fun song to play, id say its more intermediatey like a 4 cause of the speed on lead and rhythm.

Also, maybe exageration of "very easy" 😅 by that i just mean you can get a 95%+ quite fast if you practice the main riff but getting a 99% or 100% will be challenging like all songs
