Sorry for the slight delay getting this up. I had fun going through different water-themed songs and coming up with the final list. Big thank you to @Mikson for help testing the lead and rhythm paths. I included some bonus parts since these are so fun to play. LZ - The Ocean and QOTSA - I Sat By the Ocean are both fantastic on bass so I had to include both somehow. Anyway, I hope you all enjoy!

One caveat: the beginner lead song (Black Keys - Oceans & Streams) is a stretch for beginner level. It's really more of a 4 but it's challenging to find good beginner-level songs on lead and even more so with a theme. 

I'm looking forward to play some new songs. I did have a few play throughs last week, but forgot to share my Sabaton. I was not proud of it, but thinking I could have "won" was out of the question. Oh well... 😉

And now, I've begun this weeks trials. 😉 Starting with the beginner bass. It's a quite fun song, though quite some waiting in the beginning. Reminding me of playing wind instrument in a symphonic orchestra... 184 bars of rest. Damn. 😄 But an interesting bass part, getting to practice string changes.

At my "own" level, there are a bit more to practice on, but not impossible. I'll get to it...

And the bonus. It's another great (and fun) bass part, but I'm not happy with the notation. The bars in the game does not match those in the music, but this time, I should be able to listen for the right rhythm. 😉 It'll get better... but I've begun!

The advanced songs are ... well rather advanced. I don't think I'll come to that (to much at sea 😛 ). Maybe give it a go/swim later on.

I have to admit that I rated this song a bit too low. Now I think it's 8 😕

 

I'm beginning to get the hang of those intermediate songs. They are fun in different ways. Like the beginners song, I like the Green river with all the string changing (and still in my level 🙂 ).

Sounds perfect with the music as I play but, still not perfect in scoring in attack.... Have tried 0-200 in lag settings LOL... Think I need a negative setting of -5 or more.

I can do better on this song.  But I forgot to upload last weeks results so I'll throw this here so I at least have something submitted!

Lots of bass work this week so it's the first part. The first attempts at once in a score attack as a deep water jump 😉

 

I played 100% and the ending didn't work out for me, I barely passed the final phrase...

So I did my first post-testing attempts at Intermediate and Advanced bass on LAS:

This one took me into Master Mode before I was ready - oh well:

 

And then a sad tale of woe. On my first song after Pool, my A string broke. I've had this bass with original strings for five years but only started playing it regularly in the last six months. So I got some new strings, re-strung the bass, and went to tune it only to discover that my D string tuning engine wouldn't tune up to D. When the peg got to a certain level of tension it would just "click" back again and again. I took the whole thing apart and tried different ways of getting the peg to turn but no dice. So now I'm stuck with either getting a new bass or replacing the tuning engine(s). I was thinking of getting a 5-string so I might just do that.

Yesterday I had some succeses with the intermediate songs:

And by the way. I think the bonus songs should be awarded points along with the "regular" songs. (Unless it is very hard to measure... ). Just my opinion.

Now I'll begin rehearsing the advanced song(s) as well... 🙂
