Follow Creators & Hide Artists / Creators

A long requested feature for CustomsForge's Ignition Search has been the ability to either filter by charters you absolutely love, or at least filter out the ones you absolutely hate. Well, if you have been asking for that, today might be a great day for you.

Over the past couple days we've sat down and worked out how we can add this into our system, and it is now live to the public so you can use it at the time of writing this.

If you want to add a charter to your "favorites" list, go to one of their CDLCs and open the drop down menu. There you should see a new option called "Add To Loved Creators".  This will highlight all their songs in green to show that you are following that charter. If you want to see the stuff only made by your favorite creator(s), you have two options. You can either open the Filters box in the top right of your screen on Ignition (has a filter icon), click the "Loved Creators" button, then click Submit, or you can go to the new "Loved Creators" page which is accessible through the header at the top of the page, under "Search" then "Loved Creators". The best part about the Loved Creators page is that you have the ability to bookmark it if you only want to see when your favorite creators post a new custom.

If you have some charter's you don't like, you can hide all their CDLC too! Go to one of their CDLC's and open the drop down menu. There you should see a new option called "Hide all songs from {Charter}" (where {Charter} is the charter's username). If you click this button, it will make it as if they never existed. If you ever accidently hide someone you care about, or are looking for a song that only that person has charted you can click the "Filter" button at the top (has a filter icon) and click "Hide Hidden" so it doesn't have the white ring around it, then click the "Submit" button. This should allow you to see all the hidden customs in a yellow tint so you can go and remove them from the hidden list. To remove them from the hidden list, go to one of their charts and click "Show all songs from {Charter}" (where {Charter} is the charter's username). When you open up Ignition Search it will default to hiding those hidden charts. Note: You cannot hide official DLC from Ubisoft.

With the addition of hiding charters / creators, we thought that it would also be a good time to allow you to hide artists that you don't like. To hide an artist, go to one of their CDLCs and open the drop down menu. There you should see a new option called "Hide all songs from {Artist}" (where {Artist} is the name of the artist / band). If you click this button, it will make it as if the artist never existed on Ignition Search. If you ever accidently hide an artist you care about, or are looking for a song that you like from that artist you can click the "Filter" button at the top (has a filter icon) and click "Hide Hidden" so it doesn't have the white ring around it, then click the "Submit" button. This should allow you to see all the hidden customs in a yellow tint so you can go and remove them from the hidden list. To remove them from the hidden list, go to one of their charts and click "Show all songs from {Artist}" (where {Artist} is the artist / band). When you open up Ignition Search it will default to hiding those hidden charts.

We hope these additions will help improve the longevity of Ignition4 Search as we are working on Ignition5 Search, and to add some functionality that has been asked for a long time.
