@@Azrael Fastest win in history :P

You obviously meant for Advanced lead...so I'll let that slide :P

I'll get back to Rhythm, if necessary, and see how far I can push it :D

    Edit:

Yes, win in MC would mean advancing to MC for @Az. But maybe he wants to :P

Oh shit, I didn't know that... But this song isn't Masterclass, it is just the most difficult Rhythm path (isn't it? So this rule wouldn't apply?)

  2. Just to give you an impression of what a non-Masterclass player can achieve in "Deadhead" :)

    My MasterMode scores:

    Advanced Lead: 98.34 %, Score: 1,875,607

    http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=460573924

    Masterclass Rhythm: 98.55 %, Score: 1,543,474

    http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=460573385

A lot missed notes of detection issue, and boring long bass line.

If you feel like the bass could be improved at any point, just tell me. But I agree it is not very complex.

Nevertheless, the bass here is important... I once recorded all three parts and only the bass made it somewhat complete (especially without drums :) )

  3. Deadhead, wohoo!

For the chords from 3rd to 8th fret, I recommend sitting down and putting your guitar on the left leg, with your left foot beeing placed on a high stool. This gives you a better angle where you can spread your fingers further ;-)

(Devin surely has some huge hands...)

    Have a nice week, everyone!

  4. Arobas Music develop its won app available here http://www.guitar-pro.com/fr/index.php?pg=produit-iphone-ipad#/interface

I did already look at the official "Guitar Pro" App, but I have read (in the comments on the iTunes Store) that it is very complicated/not possible to import your own gp5 files from your PC (even though their website says something else).

So... does your comment mean that you nevertheless recommend this to me?

@@firekorn yeah I would like to use edit/playback/autoscroll etc.

  5. Hi everyone,

I don't know if this has been discussed before, but I couldn't find it via the search engine.

I would like to know if anyone has some recommendations for Apps on the iPad to view GuitarPro-files.

Somewhere I have read that with the official "Guitar Pro" App it is quite complicated to import files from your PC.

But this is exactly what I'm looking for: I want to view the gp5 files from my PC on the iPad, without having to use a (constant) internet connection. I am willing to pay some money, but only for right App :-)

  6. Behold!

My flatmate has got a real bass that I can play, so from now on I will try to learn bass by playing it in the championship, yeah!

    Here goes my first entry:

    Beginner Bass: 100%; Score 1,261,776

    http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=436559270

Have a nice week everyone :-)

    Edit:

    Beginner Lead: 99.2%

Just because the song is so groooooovy :-)

  7. The reason for my concern is something like the following: I'll soon have over 100 playthroughs on my very first and often updated custom (and I really like to see that number grow even further). And since my changes are often only details, I prefer keeping all the other stats as well.

But in general you are right, of course: When the chart changes, you highscores should reset.

And in the end (the danger of) corrupting your profile and loosing all your progress is far worse than loosing the progress on a single CDLC after an update.

So I guess I will have to get used to that. While being a tempting option, a hidden checkbox will always be a risk factor - so, no, we should be able to live without it...

  8. You can just change the "Version" number and new arrangement ID's will be created automatically.  This prevents problems where CDLC's have the same arrangment IDs.

Does this mean that the stats of the arrangements (number of playthroughs, master score, etc.) will be resetted from now on after each update (change of version number) of our customs?

If yes, then I do not like that

I never had problems with different versions of my customs. I guess I could save the old ID and insert it manually?

  9. Hi everyone!

After having no time to play at all and loosing my diehard status, now I'm back and will be able to play regulary again :-D

Here are my scores, in case I can't update them tomorrow:

    Intermediate Rhythm: 99.01% (hooray!)

    http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=431285756

Advanded Lead: 93.03% (solos still too hard for me...)

    http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=431283853

    Advanced Rhythm: 83% (pretty crappy)

    http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=431286304

Edit: Maybe I have missed it, is there a new version of this spreadsheet somewhere? https://docs.google.com/spreadsheet/ccc?key=0Arj3bEzPtRExdDhCWDRnTklxOFVYdS0ySGstTTRkaFE#gid=83

  10. Ok, this is getting weird. @@Alex360, we need your help :-D

Today I tried adding metronome bonus arrangements to enter sandman and I think I have the same problem as @@TomSawyer2112

I ticked the metronome box on all three arrangements. Ingame the path is crossed out with an X but it is selectable. There is only one arrangement (no bonus arrangement) and this one arrangement has the metronome beats enabled.

This is not how it is supposed to work nor how it worked the last time I used it.

Alex, could see any recent changes to the code that might affect this tool?

    Regards,

    Azrael

Edit: I, too, got some long error list on first "generate", but on second try the psarc was created.

  11. @@TomSawyer2112

I'm not sure I understand correctly what you mean. Here is how the tickbox is supposed to work:

The selected arrangement is not changed at all. Instead, a "bonus arrangement" is created in the same path that is a copy of the original arrangement, but with metronome ticks activated.

This means you are supposed to "do it on the main arrangement"!

E.g. you have Lead, Rhythm and Bass. You enable the metronome bonus arrangement on all of those. Then ingame those three paths will still be available, but in each of them you can find a bonus arrangement with the metronome enabled.

Does it not work for you this way? Or don't you like it that it works this way?
