  1. @@Frack "Yellow", it was not mine suggestion, seems i was @Atttitude :)

    Damn, thanks, sorry.

    Yes, Attitude suggestion.

"Not bad. Could be cool a customised figurative small logo?"

For now everything is hidden behind the purple tag

if you refer to this one:

    http://image.jeuxvideo.com/images/wi/r/o/rock-band-3-wii-001_m.jpg

It's RB & Band Fuse copyrighted.

We could probably do a similar thing, but don't this or another logo overload the cover at the end ?

Something new & cool now won't stay after a short time, because displayed on each of your custom & will quickly become boring/indesirable (just my opinion).

It's dark transparent gradient (let see the album under) white is easy to spot (even on white)

    ------------------------------------------

RS uses a zoom system in the library (basic 2 Album Cover sizes), so it's possible to do a different modification on the "big (128x128)" & on the "little (96x96) tagged Purple DLC" Album Cover (i work/display the same size for convenience (just add a layer on top in Photoshop).

    I think it's a serious option.

@ Tron001 i've play with gold but nothing great & easy to spot was realised.

It's Yellow transparent gradient (Attitude suggestion) & red arrow.

@@ForgeOn It's always possible to add functions with arrows colors:

Everybody knows the RS strings order:

    1 Red, 2 Yellow, 3 Blue, 4 Orange, 5 Green & 6 Purple.

The difficulty of the Differents parts:

    1 Lead

    2 Rythm

    3 Bass

    4 Vocal

5 Bonus (another lead or merged with rythm)

    6 Multitrack

    So if there's arrow

    Red : Lead

    Yellow : Rythm

    Blue : Bass

    etc..

Why color instead of letters ?

I think it takes too much space on the album arts. (i would like to keep them as visible/clean as possible).

Or maybe instead of "CUSTOM"  indicate  LRBVBM, with the same font it won't be too bad, (but you'll have to select the song before seeing the infos).

When i play RS i used to play songs with the same tuning & in the same part /day.

  3. "It seems enough useless info lrbv" i didn't understand why useless, but after i've realise why;

As you select your Lead, Rythm, or bass part before accessing the playlist, yes this kind of indications are no more necessary.

For the colors i'm still brainstorming as we have to keep the purple (embedded Game file).

  4. Yes, As we've got great/amazing charters "now" it's difficult to make a difference with official songs.

DL link added to see it in "real".

The actually used (Greys) colors on v3 are just to try the overall process (it's not definitive will probably need more contrast).

  5. Rocksmith 2014 Customs Tagger

    http://s16.postimg.org/5ew2ku4yt/Icon3.png

The [TOOL] CDLC Tagger is available

Thanks to Lovroman for coding it:

    http://customsforge.com/topic/20334-tool-cdlc-tagger/

--------------The Following Posts/infos were posted before the release of the Tool, they are outdated actually--------------

I think it would be useful to know if a song is a custom or not in the songlist.

I've play a little with Photoshop & been able to locate the exact tag position on the albums art.

All the others originals tags would stay untouched (RS1, DLC etc), it would apply only on the Customs, so upcoming official dlc will remains as they always are.

Very discrete (a little more longer & 2 grey arrows)

    http://s7.postimg.org/6dlwbhs57/detail.jpg

Custom Tag (once the song is selected)

    http://s7.postimg.org/z1yuepubf/detail2.jpg

This is not a mockup it's a screen capture, it's already possible to do it, but it would need toolkit implementation to be really interresting, (it would be implemented in the custom creation as it's a simple overlayed .png) on 128x128 & 64x64 in custom's album art).

What do you think about this,

Do you like the idea or not ?

PLEASE DO NOT USE THIS TO MAKE CUSTOMS SONGS WITH CUSTOMS ALBUM ART (with your name, custom tags etc..) WE NEED TO FOUND A CONSENSUS IN ORDER TO HAVE EVERYTHING LOOKS SIMILAR & CLEAN.

We have to deal with untouchable parameters (at least for now (without further editing/deeper modifications):

    - The song list tag color (Purple) & Text (DLC)

Do not hesitate to give your point of view/tastes.

& even your mockup if you want, just do not include that in a submited CDLC.

I'm thinking about a system color or symbol for visualising the available parts (Lead, Rythm, Bass, Vocal & Multitrack)

Maybe adding more arrows each arrows /1 part or a corner Tag as suggered by Wepeel.

(Useless as you already are in the playable part)

  7. @ RB3 have pro/real guitar/Bass already.

Bluzer's rips include ALL vocals/lyrics ripped & working (verified).

There's a noticeable difference in GH & RB charts too, GH are more difficult compared to RB,

(I don't know if RB have not charted muted notes or if GH is charted with muted notes).

RB are easier to play, but when you have good skills, GH are the good choice, far better (more punch/dynamic/rythm) so more challenging & interresting to play.

  8. WIRING:

    Solder the according pins.

I've got a little tips for this :

The parallels contacts material you'll solder is copper covered with a carbon like stuff.

you can remove this carbon by using the FLAT part of one crewdriver or a blade, take care to don't scratch the copper though.

This carbon is a pain in the a.. to solder (try on one unused contact first) go very gently with several passes.

Once the copper is visible & clean put some solder in it, the differents parallels contacts

should not be short circuited, if it happends, heat the solder along the copper to minimise the quantity.

put some solder on the end of the wires & heat both when in contact, blow on it to accelerate the cooler process.

take care to not overheat the board or the added wires (as they are very thin) any telecom/computer wire is ok for this.

  9. There's at least 3 solutions in your case:

In both solution i recommend to use 2 eof instances, like that you can compare the both EOF files in real time (& know who should be where).

1 - Keep the Bluzer's Multitrack (The best solution when it's not a cover version (olds RB)

Just select all notes & copy/paste the real guitar & bass parts of your "old work's EOF window" into the new one & adjust the note's position on RB beat map.

2 - Rebuild a new eof project with your old audio & import the Bluzer's .mid, adjust the RB beat map to your song (according to eof 2nd instance), once it's done adjust your note's position.

3 - Keep your audio file & Manually report the beat map on your old file (do not move all the beat lines, moving only the first of every phrase/section is enough & should keep the overall rhythm).

  10. Can you try to load it in lead/rythm in RS ?

  11. I'm using my own made Solution "the old crap one" was just a paper pined on the pick screw (on the top right), i wanted something Cleaner & reusable, i've brainstorm a while & created this one:

    http://s7.postimg.org/op692di17/IMG_0115.jpg

    Closer view:

    http://s7.postimg.org/bwi52g6ff/IMG_0117.jpg

The upper one indicates the main tuning the 2nd the dropped (in this case B drop A)

    http://s7.postimg.org/4s0btez63/IMG_0116.jpg

The 2 discs are independant of the tone & volume knobs.

  12. I've used my own made Stainless steel for one entire year (with a hardware mod allowing me to play Guitar Hero / RB songs with a real guitar (the wired pick)

    http://s7.postimg.org/z868rjkp7/IMG_0109.jpg

After such amonth of plays, the pick doesn't show any signs of intensive usage.

The one on the left shows the unfinished one, on the right the Brushed & edges polished one (1mm thin).

Made from a Fender as a template.

For now i'm playing with the plastic "No name" .73
