  1. I've not read carrefully enough, in fact you want to do real drum notes implementation,

i though you just wanted to implement RB ones.

"I'll do it one day for sure, but i have no idea when it will be done."

    Nothing's hurry.

  2. I've think about how to implement Drum (notes only) since RS1first customs, i was thinking of only a visualisation of the notes,
i'm so amazed it already register the notes.

Please use a matching system (color etc..) with Bluzer's Rock Band rips,
as all of the Rock Band songs are already perfectly charted Synced etc.. with drums & pro drums.*

    & EOF compatible.

for the matching, i've found this on youtube one day, i think it's ok, but i'm not at all a real drumer (only a plastic one)

"Acoustic drum kit can't create as far as i know".
If someone is buying a used PS3 or PC Guitar Hero or Band hero kit, they are cheap now, there's this (piezo) on every drum part inside:
    http://www.godreau.fr/joomla/images/piezo.jpg
put longer wires on it, fix it with double side tape on all the real parts & tada...(should work)

(I've changed my broken symbal with a car tire piece & worked fine).

If it's not sensitive enough you can double the captors (wired in parallel) (only tested with Guitar hero kit).

Phase Shift uses the Pro Drum support for a while,
any infos from here are probably more than usefull:
    http://dwsk.proboards.com/#category-2

    - We can easilly customise the fretboard too with custom inlay for drum notes.

*& the Guitar Hero ones (i don't know if they uses different color for those though).

  3. @@ForgeOn In fact the 256*256.dds file included in each customs seems unused & won't be modified, so we can use it as backup.

(The 64*64 is for list unselected song & 128*128 for selected song.)

@@Rockinbiscuit we need an interrested programmer to automatize the "album tag" process.

It's much harder to notice difference between CDLC and DLC in past months, I'd liketo have all CDLC sourced as CDLC, so could filter songs by :)

    That's a good sign.

It would require a new Category in order to filter them i think.

  4. I really enjoyed to "play" drums on GH, (I have 2 plastic drums sets).

I've guess (With Rocksmith 2012 when i've seen EOF supporting Rocksmith too) if it would be possible to play real drums on RS,

I've brainstorm on the idea & i'm sure it's possible.

    in fact with this:

The third Way to Chart Customs (With Guitar Hero/Rockband/PS/Frets on fire templates)
    http://customsforge.com/topic/2882-the-third-way-to-chart-customs-with-guitar-herorockbandpsfrets-on-fire-templates/

We already have some GH & RB Drums rips (Bluzer's rips contains them),

the team on Phase Shift seems to have found a corresponding between the GH/RB notes & real Drums.

In my mind the Drum project would be a bonus guitar part or bass to allow 2 players to play together.

    There's limitations of course:

    - You'll have to have 2 Real Tone Cables, 1 for the real guitarist & 1 for the "Dummy tuning" pass/check. (The game think you'll play Guitar or bass & launch the notes)

    - The score will not increase (no note recognition)

    - No DD (only maxx diff)

    - It may be not perfect in therm of numbers of toms/cymbals (but it can be enhanced if needed). (GH support double pedals, 2 cymbals & 3 toms), the note position is already PERFECT with the rips (& should match to real drums (needs to be tested with a real drumkit)

The idea would be to play without DD & use the 6 Strings colors (& recognizable open notes & numbers etc (if needs more toms etc..)).

As i don't want to be murdered by my neighborhood, i unfortunately won't buy a real Drum Kit, so i won't be able to deeply support the project, but i share with you my ideas on the subject, people can give ther ideas too to enhance the concept.

  5. If the music video mostly just uses the same audio as the album/single/etc. recording of the song, all somebody would have to do is resync the beginning of the song.  Worst case scenario, just rip the audio track from the video and resync to that.  I made some Phase Shift charts with background music videos and I think it's a cool feature.

I did some HQ vids (720p) for Phase Shift too,

I've rip the Youtube HD vid, extract the music,

Used audacity to import both youtube "crap quality" sound & import Flac,

there's one option in Audacity wich "stretch" the audio (as usually when the song lenght is different, it's the same audio but with a very little slower/faster rythm resulting in a different song lenght)

The idea is to use the Audacity waveform graph to compare the 2 audio lenghts & align the HD on Youtube,

Compare them in first time if there's noticeable differences try from one different album (single or best of instead of the album)

Use the max zoom option to finalyse the micro syncing.

Tada.. HD vid & HQ Audio.

  6. Welcome Enes_A7X,

When Cozy1 had the time to put the link on it's page, it will be available here as .cgm for download:

    https://sites.google.com/site/cozy1cgi/templates

For now you can try to generate one inlay  from another .cgm

(To experiment the Inlay generating process, in order to be ready when the Synyster Gates Inlay will be downloadable)

    (Shouldn't be long) ;)

  7. @@CommandoAir your replys are helpfull for others leftys users too, thanks.

    ----------------------------------------------------

The 2 lasts inlays have been upgraded to v2,

some frets markers where not exactly centered when seen closer (seems i was too focused on vertical position),

    it's fixed & sent to Cozy1.

To avoid confusion my nexts inlays will (if necessary) (shouldn't though) be numbered with V2 for revision 2 etc..

this will allow everybody to know if you've got the last corrected revisions.

  8. I tried to see & here's the result:

Emulated Bass Mode is rendered exactly the same way as Guitar (Same "Template").

Right hand generated inlay (no flipping) won't be rendered in game for lefty mode. (Show transparent inlay (nothing).

I need to "flip it horizontally" to see if it works for me, to try it in lefty mode & see if the result is accurate.

  9. "Inlays artwork is by default for right handed players.  If you want to make accurate left handed inlays you may need to modify the artwork spacing as well as flipping horizontal.  See tutorial on making Photoshop artwork.  You will have to play with the spacing.  I have never done any left handed inlays.  But it should work."

Thanks Cozy1, Didn't though there was a difference between both, i'll mention this on 1st page.

@@Laro If you want to create the "template" for left handed users,

make one inlay with this picture:
    http://s27.postimg.org/jsana4jup/image.png

make screenshoots of the in game rendered inlay (will give you the editable/frets area)

In photoshop, make a new layer & report it on your below layer, you should have something similar with this:

    http://s28.postimg.org/wfx0mar1p/image.jpg

delete the unwanted layer & you'll have your left handed users "template" similar with this:

    http://s29.postimg.org/l3wqc8l6v/Template_2.png

That's how i create the right handed users "template" & this would allow left handed users to have accurate inlays.

  10. @Commando Air do you have working custom songs ?

(With an official DLC song like The Smashing Pumpkins - Cherub Rock)

as you need one official DLC to run Custom inlays.

(& set the appid according to your official DLC (if it's not Cherub Rock, you have to change this in Custom Game Toolkit (CGT).

As you can see lowered in 40x40 we lost all the nuances, so it's useless to change anything.

The gold & silver just look similar & the 3rd just looks brown instead of red. :(
