My entry for the week! Quite happy with it but I reckon I could at least improve the score, we'll see. http://i.imgur.com/0RkLf4T.png
EDIT: A question for people, can we enter bass if we play emulated bass? Or is there just not much point.

I added my intermediate and masterclass songs to the list, could someone confirm that I've put them in the correct categories? The Clansman is easy apart from the solo which isn't bad as Maiden solos go. I put 21st Century Schizoid Man in masterclass because even though it has some easy parts it has a really fast section where you are constantly changing strings so I believe I've labelled them correctly but I'd need someone in those classes to confirm for me.

I only play standing, I can't find a comfortable way to sit no matter what I do so I am forever a stander. Even in the Guitar Hero and Rock Band days I preferred standing.

It's weird, I swear I posted yesterday but maybe I forgot to press the post button. Anyway here is my first attempt the lead beginner, I'll probably get it a lot better soon.

EDIT: The website is really breaking on me, I can't edit my post or post images.

You should try the rhythm as well Joey, it's got the fun riff when the lead starts doing power chords.

Oh damn, Coast to Coast, bloody love that song. Although I'm on beginner class can I still submit intermediate scores that won't be counted?
EDIT: Also that song seems a bit harsh for beginner or is it just me?

My masterclass song was chosen! I'd like to wish all masterclass players good luck, Michael Romeo is a brutal guitarist and the bass sounds great too, I wish I had the ability to join in that because it sounds like incredible fun.

Damn, you swooped in at the end to take both first places away from me. Unfortunately I have to concede defeat as I can't beat my scores, well played sir.

Final score this week I think, somehow surprised myself and got 1.2 million, I'll think that is as high as I'll get it for now.

First up is an improvement to my lead score, up 2.2% and over 170,000 points. Still not happy with it because I know I'm not playing it cleanly enough.

Next is my rhythm score, this one worried me actually because I found my hand cramping up quite a lot, whether that's because I'm not used to playing so many chords or whether I'm being too tense with my hand I'm not sure. I typically don't play a lot of chords as I don't often venture into rhythm playing. Anyone got any tips?

EDIT: I also added three songs to the song list, I think they all fit in their respective categories.

@@storm20200 Welcome to the championships great score there, If the beginner song seems to simple please feel free to try intermediate and MC as this will help you gauge where you are difficulty wise. Hope to see more scores from you. Great job.
@ Thanks for making me feel welcome. I'll stick with the beginner song because despite the high score I know it sounded nowhere near as good as it should have. I'll have to do a rhythm score though.

Well here goes my first entry. I've been playing since January and have been progressing slowly, although I've come on leaps and bounds in the past month since I finished my first year at Uni.
I got 95.5% on Wanderer, really fun song to play and the solo is brilliant, too bad I struggle going 8-7-8-12-8-7-8 otherwise I'd hit every note in it. Messed up a couple of sections but I got 97.2% earlier, maybe I'll get up to 98% in a couple of days

That seems like an interesting beginner song, might have to make my first appearance in the beginner class :-)

Thanks for this, as a new Smithy's Anvil member I was disappointed to see it go the way it has but hopefully we can build a stronger community here instead!

@ I could definitely see it improving a persons rhythm, I done Black Sheep on emulated bass and although I got 99% I felt like I had to be much for consistent. That Black Sheep was a really nice pick though, the "sort of solo" section is great for working on consistent alternate strumming. It also feels really rewarding to play well, more so than some other songs.
