  1. Hey guys,

I am usually pretty good about tones, but this one has me stumped. I need a tone for the Lead guitar, i just can't get the pitch right from any tone I have tried. There is a placeholder tone on the song now, you can test it out at https://www.dropbox.com/sh/kwne78yz17d6ug2/AAC7wTQG9OtpfMQPlOreDUO6a?dl=0

Some info I did find is this.

Both the guitar and the vox organ were going through '60s Vox AC-30 amplifiers,” Wittman continues. “Both of them were miked with one U87; pretty simple. We generated the delay that makes the double upbeats on the organ with a Publison [digital delay unit]. The effect was recorded with the sound onto the track. Also, the guitars were compressed with an LA-2A.

  2. I work with Guitar Pro, and I was already at Moneytalks, the whole Lead Guitar was finished, just the solo needed any changes but then my Guitar Pro crashed before I could save the file

Now I have to start from the beginning (in a few hours when I've got time for it)

There is an option in settings to make a "backup" every x notes. It is a godsend when GP crashes and you reopen it. At least you don't lose some of your work.

  3. Since there is so much space in Walk This Way between me and the other competitors I have some time for that:

@Gnobiwan@spellbound I would try to make a quick-rechart of that song if you permit. If I start now it can be finished today or tomorrow evening, just in time for the competition.

I don't care. My version is from sheet music, if you want to put some easy version go for it. AC/DC rocks, and I love it when people listen/play them.

For anyone that took the idea that I am incompetent, download any of my other customs and you can see I am not a "bad charter". The only reason I chimed in here is because of the negativity towards one of my many contributions.

I hope this does not reflect if someone wants one of my other customs in a future competition. And best of luck to everyone in this weeks comp!

  4. I used "official" sheet music and hand charted them into Guitar Pro. I didn't use some random tab found on the internet.

I try to use sheet music even when I find a random tab that sounds off. It takes me a good 5 hours just to tab them out from alt tabbing from pdf scans.

I don't get paid to make these. Bad charting comments really hurt, and could have been phrased alot differently. I think I may have to take a break after reading this.

  5. http://customsforge.com/page/customsforge_rs_2014_cdlc.html/_/pc-enabled-rs-2014-cdlc/go-down-r22244I will try to keep a list here of charters that have made customs. Please post if you see any errors or I missed one. If your working on one, it would be nice to have a heads up to avoid a dupe.
