If you want to test.  Take any known working CDLC you like (doesn't even need to be yours).  Use the toolkit, "Creator" tab click on "Import Package" button and select the CDLC.  After it loads in Creator GUI, change the version number to a new number.  Click on the "Generate" button.  Toolkit should generate a new psarc that is only a few 100 kb different than the original. 

     

    Importing a package works fine, obviously because the wem files are already generated. If i convert the wav to wem with an older toolkit and load the template with the new toolkit everything is fine. The problem is if i delete the wem files and let the latest toolkit generate the wem files or if i create a new project that needs the wav files converted.

     

    Did someone test it if it works fine to let the latest toolkit generate wem files from wav files?

  2. @MadMax  config.xml file format has changed.  Delete your old config.xml file and reconfig.  You are no longer adding the full file path to WwiseCLI.exe, only the Audiokinect directory.  You actually can leave path for Wwise blank in config and toolkit should find your Wwise install by itself.

     

    alright i left it blank and after hitting save the cmd popped up and wem files were generated, so far so good, sadly after i hit generate the cmd popps up again and the psarc generated is over 50 mb big vs 7.6 mb from an older toolkit

     

    Is there a test project that i can try?

  3. @MadMaxx just committed new toolkit beta release to address issue based on you description.  If this does not solve, then we need sample files, i.e. audio and xml to help you further.

     

     

    In dac1b4fefd the filechooser is broken when i want to add the wwiseCLI.exe, when im in the Release->bin folder using the file chooser in can see only folders, files are not shown

     

    Using a config.xml from a previous toolkit will result into an exception that says that it cant find the wwise path when i want to save the template

    EDIT: The lined out text above was misinformation on my part.  Just relooked at the code.  You should be able to give toolkit a preview OGG/WAV from EOF, in addition to full audio OGG/WAV and it will generate correct WEM and preview WEM for you.   If it is not working then need sample files.

     

    Using EOF previews has been working fine the whole time

  4. @MadMaxx When does the chorus start in the xml?  If it starts with less than 30 seconds left in the song then the preview wem will hang.  If you want to send me link to the audio file wav/ogg and the xml I will have a look.  Don't worry about toolkit regenerate wav/ogg files.  This is for other users benefit so songs can be reauthored in EOF.

     

    @@Alex360 this error could have to do with your new ChorusTime implementation.  Need to create an error check condition.  See my PM.

     

    I alway generate the preview file with EOF and dont let the toolkit autogenerate one. Anyway the chorus starts at 78 seconds and in a different song with the same issue the chorus starts at 113 sec

    I dont think that its file related, i have tried a few of my project and they show all the same issue. Does it work fine with your projects if you delete the wem files and let the latest toolkit generate new ones?

  5. @@MadMaxx, there is no vvems than, need to validate, but it shouldbe ok?

     

    so i used now my older rev and all arr worked fine in the game and the wem files were generated correctly, i then started the latest toolkit and loaded the template and used the wem files generated from the older rev of the toolkit. When i hit now generate there is no cmd popping up and the custom works fine in the game.

     

    To test now again the new rev of the toolkit i delete the wem files, select in the latest toolkit the wav file, hit save and the cmd pops up, now i hit generate and it pops up again. The file size of the psarc is now 50 mb versus 7,4 mb from the older rev.

  6. I have an issue with the latest rev with the showlights fix. Finished a new project and added all files needed, i hit save and the wwise cmd pops up as usual and i get then asked to save the template. Till here everything is ok, now i hit generate and the wwise cmd pops up again whitch looks to me like an issue because it means that the wav file gets converted again.

     

    Edit: timestamp between .psarc and the wem files seems to be the same therefore generate converted the wav files again.

  7. since we are talking about transpose, what about some sort of function that does add when shifting strings +5 or +4 to b to the g string and so on.

     

    For example i have selected a bunch of notes and i want to transpose those notes 1 string up. Usually i would add 5 to the fret number ( 4 for the b->g, g-> b

     

    What about doing this automated instead of always go up and down with the mouse wheel. Like activating this function with shift+Up to transpose one string up or shift+Down to go one down.

    is there a reason why i cant put one arr in both guitar path? Like i have a combo arr that does consist of a mix of lead and rhythm guitar, now i want to have this combo arr in both the lead and rhythm path as bonus arr but the toolkit does not allow to add the same arr twice.

     

    As far as i know even the Ubi notetracker do that when a song does have only a lead arr for example, they add the same arr as rhythm that way you dont need to switch in the game between both.

  9. @@MadMaxx, It's there, it's just code,not released, but vve already have 0.9.9 in toolkit :P

     

    I tried rev 15823ce7b4 and its still pre 0.9.8. The instrument order has to be in a 0.9.9 converted gp5 lead, rhythm, bass but with the latest rev of the toolkit its still bass, lead, rhythm and all 3 tracks are in the gp5 colored red but in 0.9.9 they have different colors. Based on those things it looks to me like its in the latest toolkit still pre 0.9.8 because those things and other fixes were included in 0.9.8

  10. btw. was there a reason why the name of the toolkit folder was changed from for example master-2.6.1.0-1d45d6373add.zip to just windows.zip?

     

    btw.2 i think that you guys are using in the toolkit an old version of the rs2gp tab converter, as far as i can see the latest version does color the instrument tracks differently instead of all red and the instrument order was changed to lead, rhythm, bass. The latest version is i think 0.9.9

  11. I have noticed that the No fretboard showing up or freeze after tuning has not happened to me now by a long time, were you guys able to fix this bug?

     

    It could be maybe only luck but i guess that i have now generated at least 100 packages without a broken arrangement. I hope it stays like that :lol:. Im only a little bit surprised because this issue usually would happen to me regularly and now it seems to be gone.

  12. There seems to be also something wrong with the bass tuning. After i import the bass track of gp file with the tuning of B Standard if i go in Set Tuning it says Standard Tuning with everything set at 0. Even after i set from 5 to 4 strings and i than change in Set Tuning everything to -5 it says unknown tuning.

  13. 3 half steps is max i think. 5 half steps is a brutal bent you should compare it with live footage if he does bend really that heavy.

    If 3 is really a game limitation you can only raise the note by 2 and do a 3 half step bend out of it.

  14. Thanks for the feedback. 

     

    For the latest toolkit build the user has to enter path to WwiseCLI.exe in the toolkit configuration menu.  This was done at a user's suggestion, for users who do not have Wwise installed in the default path.  Setting the path to WwiseCLI.exe also makes loading the wem converter script much faster.  Please make sure you have specified the path to WwiseCLI.exe build 4828 in the configuration menu.

     

    Please let me know if it is still not working and I will fix it.

     

    EDIT:  Based on the error messages that are posted here the problem may be that users do not have Wwise Build 4828 installed.  This error message is typical of newer builds of Wwise.  Please check, confirm and report back.  Thanks

     

    Ah now its clear thanks, than if the path to the WwiseCLI.exe was not entered just catch the exception and throw a messagebox stating that the path should be entered. That way the user knows what went wrong. A message like "The patch to WwiseCLI.exe is missing, please enter it in Configuration".

    i have noticed that the Wwise Audio Quality setting does not get stored or loaded correctly. I usually use 5 but i have noticed it a few times that 4 is loaded. If i save and load the project with the same toolkit instance the 5 is loaded fine but if i close the toolkit and start it again after i load the project xml 4 is loaded.

     

    Is the quality setting supposed to be stored in the template/project xml file?

    The tuning Editor does have an annoying bug where the strings get changed.

     

    For example:

    I added in my new project as first the guitar lead arr. The Tuning is B Standard, the Tuning Editor Pops up with all strings set to -5, i enter as a name B Standard and its in the tuning list.

     

    Now i add the second Rhythm guitar arr and the Tuning Editor pops up again, now i select the X to close the Tuning Editor because the tuning is already in the tuning list. To double check it i click on ... and open up the tuning of that last added Rhythm guitar arr and i see that the strings are fucked up.

    String 0 = -5

    String 1 = -5

    String 2 = -5

    String 3 = -5

    String 4 = 0

    String 5 = 0

     

    The last 2 Strings are set at 0 and thats wrong.
