  1. I got hooked on Heroes Of The Storm. See ya in five years. Just kidding. The game is really addicting and fun. I quit Overwatch for the terrible community and gameplay. HoTS, everything is great except parts of the community. Border Of Life is 50% done. I corrected Lead, added Bonus Lead. Now I'm on Bass which sounds amazing so far. Then I might try to tab Rhythm.

  2. Border Of Life is getting remade and tabbed for other arrangements. It's confirmed. During that awesome rhythm part, there is a really really quiet guitar in the background which sounds awesome. The main reason I want to update it is because of its syncing issues, wrong BPM, and terrible lead tab. So expect this to be my next CDLC before I create another tab. It's going to be either Deep Mountain by Demetori, or a BLANKFIELD song. Yes. I'm going to attempt a seven string arrangement from an awesome soundtrack. Stop me.

  3. I’ve been thinking about this lately because eh… it’s a really tough decision. I’ve pledged to two patrons on Patreon. Two great musicians. 331Erock and FamilyJules7x. Erock uploads PDF tabs on his Patron rewards. FamilyJules doesn’t do that, but he said once he reaches $1500 on Patreon, he would get someone to tab his songs from Year 1 and possibly future songs. So two things that come out of this. One. The Erock tabs. I do like some of E’s ‘Meets Metal’ songs. I considered making them a CDLC. However, I don’t know if I’m allowed to upload them in the form of a CDLC if the tabs are from Patreon. So I’m stuck between a Do I or Do I Not situation? It is only about $5 for early previews of E’s songs and a tab collection of a couple months work. I don’t think it’s fair to upload tabs without permission. Because the hundred or so patrons that have this reward as far as I’m aware have not uploaded these tabs somewhere else. So I don’t know what to do to be honest. I would exclusively give the CDLC out to Rocksmith 2014 players who like E’s work if they are pledged. But I think for now, this is a ‘Personal’ CDLC. So if you want E’s stuff, you’ll have to pledge to his patron and make the CDLC for yourself. Sorry. The only stuff I would release by E is songs that he hasn’t tabbed out. I would tab it out with my own ‘Learn a song by ear’ style and do that. So it’s not ripped off from a Patreon exclusive reward thing. As for FamilyJules7x. Again, a Do I or Do I Not? I was planning on tabbing the songs I liked from him and giving him the tabs so he can correct them and give them to his Patrons. I’m going to listen to FamilyJules’ work soon. All of it. Sometime after tabbing all my current songs to tab. Also, I’m in the process of working on a slightly top secret project. That is a fan game for my two favourite video game characters ever. Tails and Cream. They’re adorable. So cute. So cuddly. I’ve written some songs for it. I plan to make it either a 2D Retro platformer, or a 3D Nintendo 64 graphics game. The reason being, I hate when games upgrade the graphics for the reason that you can. And it forces you to purchase an overpriced GPU. So I want to give players the option to not upgrade. I’m working on the story for the game. I aim to make it action, adventure, puzzle. And design every location and bit of dialogue to be unique. And have some funny parts in there. And a CRAP TON OF EASTER EGGS. Some nobody will even find. Trust me. Would anyone like to hear some of the songs or parts of songs that I have written so far? I’ve got about twelve songs so far. And I haven’t designed a single level yet.

  4. IMPORTANT SURVEY ABOUT MY CDLC'S AND GUITAR TABS. I strongly recommend you fill it out. It will help me improve my future CDLC and guitar tabs. https://freeonlinesurveys.com/s/SKmAPiJY

  5. Is anyone interested in hearing about the stories of every guitar I have owned? Or do you simply have questions about something? I'm happy to answer any of those.

  6. Rocksmith 2014 CDLC problems… In my testing so far. I’ve found, a lot of issues with CDLC’s. I don’t want to name names for a few reasons. Some CDLC creators are inactive. And some CDLC creators simply don’t care or are too inexperienced. But nobody deserves any hatred for any of this. They need to be made aware of the issue. There’s one thing I will not tolerate on my CDLC’s. That is negative behaviour and insults. I would consider either of those to be a sentence such as ‘Lol, this CDLC is bad, kill yourself please’ In time, yes, I will. Now, no. But it isn’t helpful or encouraging at all. Tell me what I can improve on or tell me if the CDLC is good, so I know what I need to do to the CDLC or not. Before we start, I’m going to put the disclaimer out there. You can’t make me or anyone do anything you want. It’s their choice as to what they do. Forcing someone to do something won’t work. Onto the issues. Sections. It is so important now, more than ever. I think 25% of CDLC’s I’ve deleted have had no sections at all. It’s a shame because it’s useful for many things. Learning parts of the song, dynamic difficulty, skipping long intros. And most importantly since the Remastered edition of Rocksmith 2014. It is required for the camera to move over the note tracks. I don’t know why this is. I hope there is a fix for this in the future. I also see a lot of sections starting halfway through the song or just after the intro. I don’t know why. Tones. There’s a few issues within this area of the game. First one being the most obvious, a terrible sounding tone. I’ve heard a lot of tones which are either too loud or too low. It’s important to make sure you can hear your tone and hear the song. And sometimes tones just don’t sound like the song at all, which in any case, you should use the best tone you have for overdrive, distortion, clean etc. That’s what I do all the time. I can’t create tones at all, the only two songs I created a tone on are FamilyJules7x Another Winter, and I attempted to make one for Xenoblade Those Who Bear Their Name. They weren’t great, but they did sound similar to the song. But that isn’t the most important thing. It’s important it has the right volume, and sounds as close to the arrangement’s tone as possible. The next issue with Tones is the locking tones issue. It seems to have been fixed mostly in Remastered. There is a bug where Tones lock on PC’s with low end CPU’s. I played Rocksmith 2014 on a notebook for 3 weeks, and the tones kept locking up. Back in the day when I had my PC, the tones locked on certain CDLC’s. I remember a CDLC or two which locked the tone. It’s important you test your CDLC’s and all of its arrangements before releasing. The only time you don’t need to test it is when the arrangements are not modified. The last issue with tones is tone changes. Some CDLC doesn’t have any tone change at all. There’s no issue with that, however, if you’re playing the song and you want to hear it in whatever tones the song is played in, it kinda makes you want to play it with that tone. Dynamic Difficulty. Probably the most important part of Rocksmith 2014. I came into Rocksmith 2014 with no guitar experience at all. And damn did I suck at it. I found CDLC’s a few months later, and decided to download some. I got some of my favourite songs on there, and discovered they had no dynamic difficulty. There’s me as a beginner, trying to play a sweeping technique which is impossible and there is no dynamic difficulty. I literally threw my guitar across the room at this point. Through one hour each day of practise over three years, I can play basic sweeping, but I always play on 100% difficulty now. And it is very important there is dynamic difficulty because beginner players want to learn parts of the song, but it’s capped at 100% difficulty. And that really sucks. With the Custom Song Creator Toolkit, now there is an auto generate Dynamic Difficulty option in the configuration. When you import your PART_REAL_??? arrangements, they will be Dynamic Difficulty generated on compiling the CDLC. I recommend it because as a beginner, this is what almost made me give up on playing electric guitar. Vocals. This is a tiny one, but it’s not a must have option. I don’t know about anyone else, I hate vocals. That isn’t why this is an issue though. I like to hear certain vocals, because some people have great singing voices. My favourites being Chris Letchford, Ronnie James Dio, Ozzy Osbourne, the ZHIEND lady. I’m always curious what the lyrics mean in songs, and what they’re actually saying because I focus so much on stringed arrangements, I forget there’s vocals. It’s always nice when I play a simple bass line and I can look up at the vocals in the top left screen in some CDLC. But some CDLC doesn’t have it. I can understand if perhaps Ultrastar Creator didn’t exist back then or it was more complicated to import vocals. But it is very easy to make vocals with Ultrastar Creator. I even import Japanese vocals which can be hard, but they’re not all hard. And some vocals take multiple tries or they are missing some lines. That’s fine, take another try, or find another website with the lyrics, and try again. If you can’t for whatever reason find lyrics, try writing them in yourself. The vocals can be fun to have though, especially if you’re doing a Rocksmith 2014 Talent Show round your house or something. God I wish I had friends *sob*. CDLC really gives more options and CDLC without vocals is kinda… meh. It’s worth adding because you never know where they can go. You might even get a Guitar + Vocals cover on a Yngwie Malmsteen song or something on YouTube using Rocksmith 2014. Or perhaps a Les Claypool cover + vocals. Plus if you’re in a band where you’re a lead guitarist and vocalist and tell your bandmates they are noobs. You want to make them feel like noobs by playing two things at once. Scroll speed. This issue is rare. But there is some stupid scroll speed added to CDLC. One of my favourite songs had a slow scroll speed. Which is extremely hard to play. Some had a tiny jump forward. And that is still annoying. Scroll speeds should always be default 2.0. Because if you’re sight reading that song for the first time, it’s gonna be tough to remember notes if they go too quick or too slow. So please take it into consideration to not adjust the scroll speed unless it is REQUIRED. That’s all the issues I can list so far. One smaller issue is tabs, but there are not many CDLC creators which can one, read a tab, and two, edit a tab. I see a few tab which are imported from a midi and uploaded without any edits. And a CDLC creator comes along and uses that tab not knowing how bad the tab is. If you can, learn to read and edit tabs. If notes are higher than five notes apart, they are in 90% of cases not correct. Or if you can’t play it, nobody else can. The only cases where far spread notes are apart is okay is when it’s tapping or in a solo. But a riff that goes constantly up and down the fretboard and holy crap that looks so wrong when you do that with your hands. That is usually a sign the tab is not right. Also, if you don’t know why I called Chris Letchford a vocalist. I believe the Scale The Summit slogan is ‘Their strings are voices’ so… you know. Categorized as a vocalist then.

I forgot to mention this. But it's very important you buy Rocksmith 2014 DLC. I'm not saying this because I can. There's actually MANY VERY GOOD REASONS WHY.

These DLC's. ARE VERY CHEAP. I don't know what other games charge for their music related downloadable content, but, the money the Rocksmith developers and note trackers get paid is a small profit from what I am aware of.

I'll list reasons why you should by Rocksmith 2014 DLC.

      - Note tracks are accurate and according to how the artist plays it. If you didn't know or if you have never watched the Rocksmith 2014 developer live streams, they mention a lot that they make the note tracks as close to the studio recording as possible and try to keep the tunings above Drop B and below E Standard. This is a lot of hard work, trust me. Not only that. The note trackers have to individually edit the dynamic difficulty tracks so that what you're playing at that difficulty has the root notes of the riffs. The note tracks, I don't know if they receive tabs or not, but regardless, they do a great job of it.

      - The best quality audio for that song. When Motorhead's Ace of Spades came out. I instantly noticed the quality was amazing, I know it's a remaster. But damn. The quality of the audio in a lot of the DLC compared to the versions I have in my music playlist are amazing. This shows that the provider of the music, possibly the license people and studios, are giving the proper audio track.

      - The profits go to both the license team and the Rocksmith staff. This is one of the most important things. If the Rocksmith staff were not earning money from this, they would be out of a job, and there would be no more Rocksmith. I don't know how much of the money from their downloadable content goes to them or the licence team or studio. I hope it goes to mainly the Rocksmith staff because they deserve it.But they have to pay the studios and license otherwise they can't use the song in Rocksmith. I think this is important because I don't think many people buy the DLC because it exists as CDLC. And I think the staff are paid through the Ubisoft president or whatever. Because they don't make enough profit from the DLC. Don't quote me on it. I don't want Rocksmith to die.

      - Song packs are the cheapest. It's extremely nice of them to put 5 DLC's into a song pack and 5 Induvidual DLC's costs £12. The song pack costs £10. That's 25% off.

      - There are many genres. Regardless of if you like a genre or not in their DLC's. You have to respect they are giving players the option to play whatever. Blues, pop, metal, etc. Seriously, come on. There's so much variety. The Rocksmith team don't get enough love and respect for these packs. I praise them for it. And they just get insulted for it by others. Even if they released a dubstep song pack, I would still praise them because the option to play it is really something. What other game gives you these underrated bands or weird genres?

I don't believe the Rocksmith team are 100% honest with us, but at least they are saying something. Please, anyone, buy their DLC. Replace your CDLC with their DLC version of it. Because it will in 99% of cases be better and bigger. There's a request app for bands and songs you might want. And take this as a sign, if they already have one band's song or songs in their library, it means that they may ask that band again. Megadeth for example got two song packs. That is awesome. That means that there is a high chance they might revisit a band for a second time or even third. Request away. Give them your support. Not comments like 'I'll skip this pack' say something nice.

  7. Update on the Update: Getting nowhere fast. But, I had a thought. I notice there are a lot of songs I want to tab that I have only heard once or twice and get no pleasure out of it after the first. I notice this with a lot of music I listen to. My favourite song was once Follow Me by Kay Hanley, Team Rose Theme from Sonic Heroes. Then it was The Air, Windy Valley 3 from Sonic Adventure. Then it was ZHIEND, Ray Of Light. It’s endless. Currently my favourite song is So Cold by Breaking Benjamin, and possibly Sleeping Giants by Mastadon which is pretty recent. I think you get what I mean. Some songs never get old like Mechanical Resonance, and a lot of Demetori and CROW’SCLAW. Recently, I was listening to the Danmaku Unlimited 2 and 3 soundtracks. They are amazing. If you ever wanted to hear, I think it’s Drop A? Or possibly B standard/Drop B songs. BLANKFIELD’s Danmaku Soundtrack songs are awesome for that. They are heavy riffs with some louder lead riffs inbetween. Transformers Devastation Soundtrack has an awesome soundtrack. The thing I like about that soundtrack is it has mixed lead and rhythm arrangements which are reused. I was listening to the soundtrack again and noticed it was the same riffs for about three different songs. Some had different solos too if I’m correct. Clever, but very lazy. What does all this mean? Where I am tabbing songs that have one riff that I like, a great example is both Demetori and CROW’SCLAW Grave of Being cover. They both have amazing riffs at the beginning, but I’m not too keen on the Grave of Being part. Another example would be I guess a CDLC I made recently, City In The Sky by Scale The Summit. Yes, it has a tab clearly, I can’t tab B standard songs, but I can edit them. I love the intro to this song, the rest is meh. I would learn the introduction by ear, much like some other songs. But not the rest. I would create CDLC’s of songs I only like one riff in as long as there is a tab. Songs I consider perfect or really good are favourites in Rocksmith 2014. I will make a list of my favourites one day to share with you. Just let me complete my test of the CDLC’s challenge I will call it. There are favourites from Bullet For My Valentine, Sonic Adventure, Scale The Summit. There’s a few. My taste in music is strange, but I will always approach music with an open mind. I listened to every The Strokes, Bush, and Machine Head album at one time. I just listen to bands with songs I liked, and to my surprise, these bands made some great music. My favourite Strokes song is You Only Live Once and Undercover of Darkness. Bush, Machine Head, Little Things. Machine Head, Locust, Left Unfinished. I think the bands with popular songs never get the love they deserve. Which is pretty much why I always release tabs and CDLC’s from bands nobody has ever heard of. Cough DID YOU JUST CALL ME A DEAF LEOPARD? In the future, I am looking to create a video game and compose my own soundtrack for it, some how. I need to either get a drummer or learn drums so I can play them strings. The soundtrack is in progress. I find random riffs every day just by attempting to learn other songs in between Rocksmith 2014’s judgement things. I never like copying. riffs, but in the case I can’t finish a song, I will take inspiration. And by the looks of it, I’m heavily inspired by Scale The Summit. I haven’t used or modified any of their riffs, but I managed to catch the technique that Scale The Summit’s guitarists have used. Sweeping, arpeggios I guess? Tapping, progressive, fret hand tapping. I plan on composing a song with one electric guitar with a rhythm and lead being played on it. An update on how the going A-Z by Band in E Standard. I’m currently on Black Sabbath. I’ve removed over 30 songs from different bands so far. I’ve tested over 60. There is a 50% chance a song will be removed from my collection. My collection is huge. If you think 16GB of CDLC is okay. You might be rich.

  8. Updates. I'm going to take a break briefly from CDLC creation. I'm gonna spend more time tabbing. I have around 15-20 songs left to tab. Because once I’ve completed these, there’s going to be more to tab because I’ve got over 40 songs to create as a CDLC. Some may not have Midi’s or Tabs. Which will be extremely unlucky. I’m guessing at least 30 songs have a Tab or Midi. On top of this. I spend one hour each day playing Rocksmith. 50 minutes on guitar, 10 minutes on bass. I’m playing every CDLC Lead arrangement on each tuning. First, E standard and Drop D going from A-Z first. All the other tunings including custom tunings. It’s going to take approximately two or three months. But it will be worth it. Besides, I find some terrible songs on there which I just downloaded because why not? And I’m also going to attempt to learn Destiny 2 on PC. Not multiplayer. From what I’ve played. The multiplayer is garbage. But the firestrikes and singleplayer so far seems, alright. It’s not the best. Compared to Borderlands 2. I prefer Borderlands 2.

  9. Sad news. My SSD died. Although its not a bad thing. I'm gonna upgrade to a 250GB next time so I can run multiple games. I had Rocksmith on my SSD. Luckily, I back up all my CDLC. I don't know how long Rocksmith 2014 will take to download and have my files transferred. I'm not too pleased about this. I literally just woke up to Agents of Mayhem not being pre-loaded. I know, a nightmare. Tried looking for my SSD. Not there. It appears it just died. It really sucks, but it did last a good year or two.

  10. I feel an update is required now. I've been feeling slightly depressed the past few months, but at the same time, I have never been happier. For once in my crappy life, things are going mostly right. But there are so many things going on at once. I'm having trouble to take on so much at once. I'll explain more in the comments for those interested. If not, CDLC's are going to be updated. I found an unfinished five string bass arrangement in Megaman Zero 4 Esperanto Rock Remix. I shall fix it. Then I will be making two CDLC's or more. I'll add these to the first part of the comment if you're really interested.

    1. EeveeonE

      EeveeonE

The CDLC's I'm looking to create:

Black Sabbath - Paranoid (A working version since nobody has made one yet. I would appreciate if someone would make it rather than me. But there is one version of this which crashes, and another with just lead guitar.) I want to play this song again because it's fun. But I can't. :<

Scale The Summit - City In The Sky (If I cannot obtain a tab for this, I will purchase the tab with my own money possibly. It depends on the price. The tab should be the same price as the song, if it is not. Well, you really can't price products well, it has to be said)

Animals As Leaders - Physical Education (I heard this one earlier, it sounds pretty good. My memory is becoming worse, I'll explain why later)

I'm currently struggling with a few things. It's not related to anything I do on the internet, it's more real life.

I recently discovered an unrecognised part of my personality which paints me as bisexual. Seeing as I was into male... bits. I think I can say I like males. Not as much as females though since my upbringing was with half a Christian family, who bought me up to believe in god and not be gay. That didn't stop me though. To make one thing straight. I believe in a god or being which cannot be described in language, sound, vision or feel, that makes miracles. I know what you're thinking. You believe in god, that means you're religious. I'm not religious fortunately. I tend to think to find answers. I hear a subject being discussed to which I discuss it with myself based on what I heard. Sometimes I throw what I heard out my ass because it isn't related. That's part of my thinking. In my search of a being who makes miracles in our existence, I discovered that people read a book and believe whatever is said inside it. This is not how I work. Reading a book my impact my opinions and views, but only slightly, and I make my conclusions just by thinking. In my thinking I discovered my bisexuality. I refuse to agree or believe in religions. I believe there was a Jesus. A guy with the name Jesus, not necessarily the Jesus in the Holy Bible, but some normal guy back in BC. Off of this, onto another topic.

Addictions and mental health. I'm a sober guy. I have never touched drugs, drinks, or smoke. I've been pretty good for that, but there's an addiction plaguing the planet which is impacting my daily life. That is porn addiction. I may not come across as a guy who is addicted to it, the truth is, I am. That's how I discovered my bisexuality. Then again, it's a curse. I can go months without looking at it. Without a fiance. It's tough. To counter it, the imagination. The most important and most powerful part of our body is the brain. It's what makes us human. I struggle with this, so... yeah. Any advice for cutting down?

Mental health wise, my memory has been getting bad. I recently made dietary changes. Small ones and big ones. The last major big one was veganism. It made no difference to my health, and as much as the memories of animals dying hurts. One thing nobody mentions to counter a vegan is 'How long ago was this sourced?' That's not to say cruelty doesn't happen. It does. But is protesting by sitting on your ass eating weak flavoured soy products really going to save animals in captivity? So with my ex pointing out to me these facts, I thought on it for months, I finally decided to become a meat eater again. I like vegetables and vegetarian based products over meat. But I hate our human nature of preachyness. That's another reason why I stopped. Literally, all we did as vegans, was call ourselves gods and wished meat eaters dead as well as try to impact them. The best vegan food I ever tried was vegan meat products by Fry's. They are possibly better than meat based versions of the product. The vegan minced beef. Oh god. I want a bowl of it right now. Another dietary change was having a fruit and a vegetable each day. Five a day is a bullshit number. Obesity is not because we aren't eating enough vegetables or exercising. It's because we eat too much and sit on our ass every day. Schools, take note. And recently, I cut a daily fruit out of my diet and I've been feeling strange. I got stomach aches, supposedly because of the lack of fibre. But I went from dry cereal in the morning to cereal with vegan milk. Hazelnut milk to be specific. It's delicious. I hate cows milk, it just tastes too creamy. No, I'm not a fussy eater. I tried squid, crab, muscles, seaweed, and probably other things I cannot remember. I did have a party where we tried Japanese drinks with different weird flavours. Most tasted like soap, others tasted alright, with a touch of soap. What does this have to do with my memory? I'm unsure if this is the cause, but I forget things I'm supposed to remember within a days time. Anything that can scar me for life will remain.

I'm trying to counter most of my issues by playing video games. I spend two hours of my morning and two hours of my night working on CDLC, guitar tabs, etc. I am playing Saints Row The Third - Gat Out Of Hell in preparation for Agents Of Mayhem which comes out in the 15th August. 2017.

  11. Just to let everyone know. I've attached my Steam profile to the contact me thing on my profile. Don't forget to vote for a tab, I'm almost out of CDLC's to update: http://www.strawpoll.me/13449978

  12. Just a reminder encase you missed it, vote here for my next tab. I've got two CDLC updates and one CDLC creation to get through yet. I'd say a just over 3 days, then I'll decide. Vote here: http://www.strawpoll.me/13449978

  13. Almost done... holy water. This was a tough tab. The hardest has to be lead though. Surprisingly. Rhythm was fairly easy. It's almost done now, then I'm gonna make an attempt and tabbing all the songs with ear learned covers. At least for Demetori and ZHIEND. If anyone wants to tab it before me, let me know. Here is what I got: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QLYqEuxxTQQ&index=1&list=WL

Check Nicovideo for covers and tabs. I haven't had the time.
  14. This song is definitely going to take a while. I get through a about two minutes each day at least. And because I had to start nearly over again. It may take a bit longer. So far, the bass is proving to be easier than lead. I'm interested what Rhythm has to offer.

  15. Just had a bit of a scare. This shit hole I'm currently living in with stupid people... one of them was drilling a hole in the wall for whatever reason, he says that he dropped the plug adapter he had, but I think he drilled into something important in the walls. But whatever it was, it caused half the power in the house to stop. My computer was affected by this and it turned off... I was in the middle of saving my tab whilst this happening. And the good news was, my PC worked fine. The bad news, that file was corrupted. 2 weeks of work gone until I realised the most useful tool in my CDLC creation was there for me. I forget I save Editor On Fire every so often. It's an annoying glitchy piece of software, but in this case, I was rescued. I save it every now and then and most of the bass tab was there. I was happy to find that I could compile these notes into a CDLC then convert the CDLC into a guitar pro file. I'm saved for the moment, but this got me wondering... what if I bought a battery brick for my PC? I

    1. EeveeonE

      EeveeonE

I accidentally pressed enter. Here's the rest:

I thought of a battery brick before because it was dangerous and this was unlikely to happen until.. the idiots in my house do this stuff. It will be a short battery, like a couple hours of life. But I want to be able to direct power through the plug sockets, into the battery, then into my PC, and I want the battery to be safe. I may attach it to my desk some how or the wall. If there's a risk the battery would explode, I'll reinforce it some how, put protective layers around it, but another worry is if it hurts my PC if it blows.

  16. I'm curious. Would anyone want to hear about the story of my guitars? Why I bought them?

  17. I'm working on my biggest tab yet. And CDLC. This will take a good week or two to complete an arrangement. Yeah. There's Lead, Bonus Lead, Rhythm and Bass. If you can correctly guess what this song is. I will donate an extra $10 to CustomsForce when I'm able to donate again. The song length is usually around 11.00 minutes.

  18. This is something important. Because it means it's not just us Rocksmith 2014 players learning songs... but I feel I'm confident enough to release guitar tabs to the public even if it's on a website run by assholes. Let me know. Vote here: http://www.strawpoll.me/13273632

  19. I thought of making several guides for Rocksmith related stuff... first one being the guitar and cable. Second one being DLC and RS1 imports. Third being downloading CDLC. Fourth being creating CDLC. The biggest one of the lot would be the CDLC creation. I have learnt so many things about CDLC creation, however I'm still unsure on how to create tones. The part I'm stuck on is what settings each gear uses.

  20. That's 1 tab of about... 40 songs I got to learn by ear. It's tough. With practise, it will be a walk in the park. No bass for Demetori songs unfortunately, they have a good bassist, but they don't let them shine in their songs, the bass is so quiet.

  21. I was working on a CDLC which I was meant to make ages ago, however, I've encountered a lot of issues with it. I was making Racecar by Periphery. A problem I have found already is an innaccurate tab and miss timings. And the wrong tempo. The song has many different tempos. 148, 145, 140, 138, 135, 130, 125. It's ridiculous. Plus, the time signatures. I don't care how a tab looks, as long as you can read it easily. I don't care if the chords start halfway through a measure. Just stop making these stupid changes to make something look apparently better. These time signatures, break Editor On Fire, and thus, I cannot do anything about this CDLC. So I give up on this CDLC. You'd have better chances just putting the tab in and keeping it at 140 BPM than going through every little thing in the tab. The tab is missing a lot of notes. So seriously, fuck these lazy tabbers.

  22. Important update: I’ve been busy lately. I updated half of my CDLC’s. I’m still testing CDLC to check if any needs updating/fixing. There’s a strange bug in Rocksmith right now which removes clean tones completely. I’m not sure what the cause is, I reckon there was a patch that broke it. As for where I’m at testing wise. I’m onto the Sonic CDLC. I need to make a statement about this because it’s important. I’m not going to edit this CDLC for a few reasons. At least the Sonic Adventure 1 and 2 songs. These songs are unique all the way through to the end, at least to my knowledge. They loop, and it’s annoying, but these tabs that I got for the Sonic Adventure 2 CDLC, they had the right notes in every tab. I’m finding there’s nothing that needs editing in these tabs. There’s not much point in editing a completed CDLC if there’s nothing to do on it. Which brings me to an important thing to ask anyone who plays through any of my CDLC. If you spot an error in the tab or syncing issues, or even tone changing issues related to the CDLC. Please write the issue on the CDLC record here at CustomsForge, it really helps, and I can get it updated. Also some suggestions to improve the CDLC’s will be taken into consideration. As for what I’m working on at the moment. Still ZHIEND – Scar On Face. I’m halfway through the rhythm. It’s taking some time because of something I’m working on at the moment. I’m searching for another six string guitar with an ebony fretboard. I might get the Ibanez Iron Label, but with a grey burst on a poplar burl top. This is gonna be my F# Standard guitar. Why the hell would I waste so much money on a six string rather than get an eight string? A good reason actually. I’m thinking of writing covers of songs, and for a rhythm guitar, I want something good to play it on. I don’t feel comfortable with the way a seven or eight string feels. I think by reducing the amount of strings, I’m doing myself a favour. What about my Lindo guitar, that’s seven string, why do I play it? It’s my tabbing guitar. I can determine lower notes up to B standard on this guitar. I will just grab my F# standard for tabbing a song with that tuning. It’s a lengthy process, I’ve found a few guitars, unfortunately, none of them are something I really want. The ones I want don’t exist, they are sold by scammers on Aliexpress. And what’s the deal with this hatred towards counterfeit/replica guitars thing? I can get the product being stolen by design, but this happens all the time in this day and age of the internet, there’s no point in trying to attack someone who steals your idea. It’s the internet, nothing can be done about it, once it’s there, it’s there. I hope some of you understand what I mean. I would go for the original version of a guitar, but only if they’re not overpriced, where a Skervesen would be £1800 for a six string, a Mayones is something like £3000. I’m surprised Mayones have been going for 35 years with prices like that, they said something about their guitars being affordable? Yep. All of us who work minimum wage in the UK make enough to buy a Mayones whenever we want. Now I can understand why someone would replicate a Mayones. It’s just ramping up the price for the hell of it. So you’re paying 80% labour on a Mayones I’m guessing.

  23. I’m writing this update to inform you all of what’s been going on. As I’m writing this, I’m playing a video game called Overwatch. Since my PC was fixed and upgraded, I had the goal to reach rank 1800. It’s been about 4 weeks since I had my PC upgraded. I went from rank 590 to 740. In between me playing Overwatch, during my kill cams that I don’t care about, I work on something briefly like a guitar tab, or a Rocksmith CDLC, and I do so whilst monitoring my respawn time in game. I work with all of this on one PC. I manage to fit 11-14 hours of Overwatch a day into my schedule, along with all the stuff I do outside of it. I play Rocksmith separately because if I was to play guitar during Overwatch, I’d be kicked for inactivity. So what’s the point of this update exactly? I just wanted to tell everyone what’s been going on. Also, what do I mean by ‘Make it to rank 1800’. I started playing Overwatch in June, then I quit, then I came back in October and began playing it a lot. Then I slowed down at around December, but I made it to rank 500 by February. In late April this year, I made this big decision to reach rank 1800. Why are levels so important to me? They’re not, but, I missed out on the launch, because I thought Overwatch was overrated and a copy of Team Fortress 2. Dead wrong, Eventually, I got the hang of Overwatch, I’m still learning things, I am a god genji main… just kidding. But I am learning heroes. If you’re interested who I play. I play well Genji, Pharah, Soldier 76, Torbjorn, Orisa, Zarya, and all supports. I want to learn every hero. My weakest is Hanzo, I have a gold bow for him just for a laugh. So I’m making up for lost time. And collecting coins to buy new event items, at the end of the event of course. I’ve made 21000 coins since the Uprising event. And at least when an event comes out, I can spend a lot of time playing them. I also like the portraits for the levels in this game. The platinum portraits look amazing. Within 200 days, I’m expecting to be at rank 1800. At this rank, I will still play a lot. But maybe prioritise other things in real life before Overwatch. As for Rocksmith/Guitar tab related updates. I’m going to update a certain amount of CDLC, then work on a guitar tab. I want to get better at tabbing so that if a CDLC that needs updating is missing notes, I can tab these missing notes. My pace is slow, but considering what I’m doing, it’s quite a lot to do at once. Not to mention, I have to eat, drink, exercise, and sleep.

  24. I needed to write an explaination regarding the strange updates to my Megaman CDLC, and possibly Sonic CDLC. There are a few reasons I decided to edit all the Megaman CDLC. The first one being, most of them are missing notes, or were innacurate. I needed to edit the tab and listen to the song and read all the notes at the same time, to decide if there are any missing notes, or innacurate notes and fix this issue. The second reason is the song length. I can't remember which song, it may have been Megaman 3 Intro, but that song, looped 4-5 times, and lasted 4 mins... Some songs last 2 mins at least on Megaman songs, but it's still quite lengthy. The third reason is the file size. I find even with Rocksmith CDLC on my SSD, I am running out of space. I have a few other games installed, but Rocksmith takes up just over 15 GB and I have over 1500 custom CDLC's. I feel that now is a good time to bring up efficiency. If a song is looped without a unique ending, or unique notes throughout the song. CDLC's on average are around 6 MB's. Some are more, some are less, but you collect so many with that file size. It piles up. It's not a bad idea to shorten the size. It's a small amount of storage that is saved by reducing song length, but it gives room for other CDLC. Hopefully you all will understand. It's only a small edit, I load the .ogg file which is edited to be shorter. I put a lot of time and effort into my CDLC's, but not the tones. I still can't figure out tones. I can tell distortion and clean apart. But nothing bass related or Demetori - Ghostly Eyes tone.
