  1. BEST SONG EVER CREATED IN THE HISTORY OF doggo. And yes, I'm planning on creating this as a CDLC. I'm aware of the other two CDLC's, but those are old, and low-ish quality. I mean, I'll tab parts of the song to make all the arrangements possible to play. I love THIS SONG. It brings a tear to my eye. Also, Asriel is a cutie.
  2. (I was formerly known as SuperSonic. Been meaning to get a name change for a while)

    Moving on.

Welp. I think this is it for me. I find myself increasingly bored of playing Rocksmith 2014. For some reason, even though I have autism, routine just isn't that fun for me. I have this issue with everything else I do in life. It might need to be something I need to get checked out.

That aside, I wanted to announce that I'm sort of done with Rocksmith 2014 for a while? I think I'll try to keep playing. The problem is, the game runs like shit on my new PC.

Here are the specs for my new PC:

    Case: Corsair 4000D Airflow
PSU: Corsair TXM 650W Semi Modular
    CPU: AMD Ryzen 7 5800X
    CPU Cooler: Corsair Hydro H100x
    Motherboard: ASUS Tuf Gaming B550-Plus
RAM: 32 GB Corsair Vengance (4x8GB sticks, 3600Mhz)
Primary Storage (Windows 10 installed): 1TB Samsung 970 Evo Plus.
Additional Storage Drives: Seagate Barracuda 2TB, Samsung Evo 860, Toshiba External HDD (2TB),
Video Card: GIGABYTE AORUS GeForce RTX 3070 Master

It just keeps white screening on launch, with no suggestions or fixes really working. When I alt tab, it will white screen and stay like that forever. The screen also gets stuck when it does this, which in this case, would warrant the game being considered some sort of virus I guess. It shouldn't be doing that. And that isn't the worst thing though. I've simply run out of music to play.

    Music drought

I've done my best to find new music. I have a CDLC library of over 1700 songs. About 700 of which are favorited. I've listened to tens of thousands of songs, and have quite a few in my MP3 Playlist of music. Apparently 9900 songs according to File Explorer, with the most coming from Falcom Sound Team. The only few songs I've found fun to play on guitar recently are Sylosis. And everything else is just, meh. I also like songs that are solo-y, like Steve Vai. I'm bored. I like songs that move around or have a big kick.

To address the point I might hear in response to this. I would make more CDLC, and tab more songs. I just don't have the time. If maybe someone can figure out a way to give me 2 hours of sleep and be energetic, then I would probably find time to do that. Currently, I can't. I can't really be bothered. And I need to learn more. I don't know enough music theory, I don't know tones at all.

    What I might do instead

I also have other hobbies to pursue, such as gaming, music, art, writing, ethics and activism. https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCx7EGZD_iyKzWP_kgveSMTQ https://www.deviantart.com/eeveeone I was kind of bought up to be selfish, but I broke out from that. It just isn't me. I want to do things that can benefit others in a positive way. That can make a big impact. Of course I still want to play electric guitar and bass. But I don't want to be a God at either. I just want to be decent, so I can make better music.

If I had to say what my main goal would be, it would probably be music. I have this dream of making a band about some of my other passions, and creating a new genre. I'll call it Djazz. Though it's sorta already half been done by Animals As Leaders, I think it would be an interesting concept. I also want to use inspirations like Demetori and Linkin Park to sorta make music. It depends. My goal isn't to rush out music and make a profit, it's to make good music. Current situation makes it difficult since I can't play my own instruments let alone compose and produce properly. But I'll have to make do. I get the gist of it.

    Small rant about the community

Something to say about the site. I don't really have anything against people, but it gets kinda annoying when someone releases an entire CDLC, one that I have tabbed out myself might I add, with a single arrangement or little to no variation on them. Where someone could literally just say "Hey, I made a tone" or "I added an arrangement, if you could update this." It's instead "I'ma reupload this." it feels really anti-social. Yet, I'm the one with social anxiety, and I have previously collaberated with others based on their profile status (When they last visited that is. Some people have made just one or two CDLC's and left)

Also, some additional feedback for this site and the tools.

CustomsForge: Favorites option for certain database entries like Bands/Artist, or Album, or Song Title, or Year. Something that can help people find music they like, or be notified when a new song comes out that they may have missed, since a lot of users update/upload daily. Let's say I have the band Architects favorited. I should now receive notifications of (And customizable via updated and or added) Architects CDLC. It's a great quality of life.

EOF: Just scrap it. This, alongside Toolkit, has been the most frustrating software I've had to work with at times. EOF is just everything I hate about software. It's old, it's outdated, there's no way to view keyboard shortcuts. There needs to be a new interface creator for Rocksmith. If anyone's ever seen that developer video the guys at Ubisoft San Fransisco made, you could see one of the developers using their software. It's decked out. It has everything on it. Everything EOF has except for that grey box below. Replaced with a toolbar I think. I don't like the lack of customizability in EOF. I hate that the jump to end/start buttons are right next to the fast forward and fast backward buttons. And the interface can be really buggy at times too. I remember before, quite a few times, I'd drag the start point of the note highway, and whilst it was dragging, it would magically change the BPM and make that beat tiny, and also happen to other bars. There's also that bug with not being able to calculate /16 Time Signatures in repeats, and alternate repeats not existing. Also, it's third party software. It's not gonna be that great anyway based on that grounding. It was designed for guitar hero first if I'm not mistaken.

Toolkit: Remove the requirement for an older version of Wwise, or at least make a working link that is accessible for creators to download the older version of Wwise. Errors should also try to show what happened in a simpler way rather than lines of folder destinations. Also, a nice quality of life feature would be to do with the volumes. There should be an example preview, which is what we should hear in game as the volume. So it's up to the creators to fix that volume. Volume has always been an issue in CDLC since every audio rip is different.

TL:DR: I'm pursuing other hobbies and will be spending a lot less time on Rocksmith 2014 and CDLC as a whole. Tabs will be extremely rare, and CDLCs still rare. Depends on the music I find.

  3. Can't remember if anyone requested it or if it appeared on the database then got removed. I will be working on making a CLDC for Sylosis - Appirations. Honestly surprised nobody had made it yet. It's such a good song. There is a tab for it as well. Two even. Usually when there's CDLC for a song, it's because the tab is scuffed or something. Usually a simple fix, or it can be a Periphery RACECAR situation, where it's so big, you almost lose your sanity editing it. I'm seriously not sure how I made that CDLC.

Also, I'm currently working on reworking Demetori - View of the River Styx. Where a bunch of notes have been corrected, and it should be more playable and sound like the original. Done the leads, almost finished with Rhythm.

  4. I think now, unless something really takes my interests, I'm giving up on making CDLC.

There's a few reasons for this.

    1. I'm not improving while playing music. I can't play. I can write, and I know how to use VST's, I post my music here https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCx7EGZD_iyKzWP_kgveSMTQ. My metal cover of Ys Seven Mother Earth Altago which will come out in at least a week, is amazing. I love what I've done with it. But with guitar playing, I just can't do it. And that leads into the 2nd point.

    2. I'm bored. To be honest, I'd rather be playing the hardest songs all the time, but I don't feel comfortable about it in my current situation. I could probably dedicate my time to playing Animals as Leaders, DragonForce, Obscura, Jason Becker, all the difficult songs. But it sounds bad, and again because I have weird social anxiety, I don't like people hearing the sounds of out of key guitar playing. Otherwise I'd be fine just making a song list of the toughest songs.

    3. I got Covid. Trust me, you do not want this. I wouldn't even wish it on the people who've committed the most heinous crimes. I am double vaccinated, but I appear to have gotten bad side effects. I have the original Covid, Sars Cov 2 I think? But it's worse because I have long Covid. A cough and a complete loss of taste and smell. Been a month since I had it, and it's really taking a toll on my mental health. I plan on playing more games as a result.

    4. My mental health. I sort of go into it here:

you can see my art in that too. My only 'Okay' art this year. But the TL:DR is, I feel more depressed because of Covid. I'm struggling to eat and enjoy food because I literally cannot taste or smell anything. Smell has only slightly come back, but even that's fucked up as now, when I smell certain seasonings in things, I smell something else. I would go and sort out my mental health issues, but there's literally no help out there for me. I'm beyond what a therapist could tell me. Therapists can't beat my rationale for reasons for me to commit suicide. Neither can you.

Before any of this happened, I sorta planned on fixing CDLC people requested I edit, and making a CDLC for a song I like called "Scourge of the Universe" by DM Dokoru.

Either way, I'm retiring from this until further notice. Plus, I think I have more worthwhile hobbies to do. Art and music really grab my interest. Especially as they are something I want to pursue to give back to the world as my thanks for all the content I've consumed in those areas. I'm mainly an NSFW artist for anyone wondering. I have a Pixiv account, unsure if I can link it.

Bye. And thanks for all the inspiring CDLC and music that has been posted here, and of course all the CDLC creators.

  5. Rework for Demetori Wind God Girl incoming. I finally discovered the issue with that intro. Wrong notes, to put it plain and simply. Person who tabbed it only put the harmony notes there which is... I dunno. But I will be correcting all the mistakes in that tab as best as I can. Meaning it will be easier to play and not this, ass of a riff to play on the high E string. I hate bending on the high E string. So easily broken.

  6. #Sonic3&KnuxSkySanctuaryZone+SimplyRedStars

  7. 11 Tabs Left, and some Updates. These 11 Tabs will most likely lead into December. However, when I'm done with that, I plan on doing other side projects, on top of trying to beat Pokemon Let's Go. I got to the post game, I just need to obtain my crown, grab all the Pokemon I've not obtained, and beat the Master Trainers, and that's it for the end game. Of course I need TMs too. Then I might try some online battles, and write some music. I've already wrote music though... and done a lot of projects. You can discover it for yourself here: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCx7EGZD_iyKzWP_kgveSMTQ?view_as=subscriber

  8. 3 more CDLC's that are important and that I'm going to fix, then I'm going to take a break from CDLC making. For a few weeks at least. I'm going to begin writing again for my Deviant Art page.

Scrap that, about 5-7 more CDLC's to do. All to tab by ear, and or fix in Rocksmith. Wish me luck.

You always do a great job!

Thanks. I'm looking at maybe tabbing the Crush 40 songs I was never able to complete. And complained about the syncing issues. My last CDLC 'Black Sabbath - The Shining' I managed to use the BPM changes to sync the notes with the song as best as I could. I will attempt that with Crush 40, if you see nothing from Crush 40 after the next few Sonic Adventure CDLC updates, then assume that I was unable to complete those Crush 40 songs.

  9. 66% lead done. Then I'm releasing it if all notes are accurate. I have played my guitar for at least 95% of the tab. The intro part of this tab was tabbed by someone else because I asked for help. I had trouble hearing the introduction. I even made a midi conversion of it, and it turned out the midi and the tabber were correct. Just the midi was less accurate. I'm hoping this tab will be good. And I may also consider releasing it. Since it's a big tab from a popular band.

  10. A big announcement kinda. I'm working music related stuff (writing, tabbing, and CDLC) constantly, I'm updating most of my CDLC and tabbing songs too. I've got a lot to get through. I just wanted to say that.

  11. A message for the dumbass EOF developer. STOP MAKING TIME SIGNATURES SPAZ OUT

    1. EeveeonE

      EeveeonE

It doesn't help that I've got a headache either. Trying to figure out why the fuck time signatures even stick so close together is still unknown. The only fix for it is to change the BPM. And on top of that, the tabs I find keep repeating riffs, INCREASING THE CHANCES OF INNACURACY. That is why you will never see any of my tabs using repeats. It's lazy and inaccurate. What this means now, is there's no Scale The Summit or Animals As Leaders CDLC for a long time. The reason being, the songs do not interest me, the tab I was editing for hours today decided to not work and Tux Guitar then said 'Remember when we used to copy and paste time signatures? Me neither'. So you know what, fuck this. If anyone wants to go through the pain of creating Animals As Leaders - On Impulse. Feel free. Good luck.

  12. A really underrated heavy metal band I recently started listen to again is so awesome, it's worthy of a shout out. Saxon. I doubt many of you have heard of this. The first song I heard from them was 'Ride Like The Wind' which I heard on a radio station. I listened to all their albums a few years ago, I hadn't listened to them since. But since I am cleaning up my music collection, I'm listening to all the bands I thought had good music. Rise Against comes close to one of the best bands I've ever heard. Behind Demetori, CROW'SCLAW, and Scale The Summit.

  13. A small announcement. I’m going to review my tabs, and update them. Though I won’t correct many tabs that have the correct timings and BPM. I may correct some notes. And there are some tabs which I’m not proud of which have wrong notes and wrong BPM making it VERY hard to tab. A few examples: Scar On Face, Blood Colour, Silent Voyage To Eternity, Eastern Dream, and possible Autobots’ Theme. Another reason I want to do this is because I’m going to upload these once I correct them. This means going through my entire CDLC creation collection and checking what I have and haven’t tabbed. Though this is a pain in the arse, on the bright side, once it’s done, it’s done.

  14. A small update about the ‘Delete Please’ CDLC in the database. I was rewriting tabs as I’m sure some of you are aware. I wanted to improve a Demetori song whilst I was at it. Specifically, Oriental Dark Flight. I was an idiot and I fucked this up really BADLY. First of all, this tab was a nightmare from the start. It is SO DIFFICULT TO TAB. I think maybe in the future, some really advanced MIDI creator bot can make the tab, but at the moment, my human ears can’t even comprehend what is being played in this song. I am so confused. The song is definitely played on an eight string, the lead is fairly complicated. But the main issue I have is the notation. I’ve never encountered a… I guess death/black metal sounding song in all of my tabbing. Not to this extent at least to the point where every note sounds out of place to an extent. I think it might be because the tuning is like… F# 400 or something. 440 I believe is the standard frequency. I have no idea how to tab like this. I’ve never found a song like this. I enjoy it. So because whilst I was re tabbing it, it had the right BPM but the wrong timings, I decided to pull the plug on this CDLC and tab, because it’s not that easy to tab at all. I would appreciate if someone else tabbed it. Sorry if anyone is displeased about this, but the over all inaccuracy made this unplayable and un-tabbable if that’s a word. Every note on B standard and up sounds so similar, the reason bass is so easy to play is because it’s thick in string gauges and tone. You can play bass on an eight string by tuning to E Standard (Low) that would be E A D G C F A D, but if it’s distorted, it’s making it sound very crunchy or fuzzy making it harder to pick up notes, that’s why when a song is played clearly on high notes, it’s easier to tab.

  15. A small update. I’m on my last 8 tabs. If you’re wondering where most of them went, it’s because I really want to get these done so I never have to tab songs for a while. I want to play Minecraft survival and perhaps play a Steam game for once. I thought of getting Opus Magnum, it looked like an interesting puzzle game, definitely my sort of thing because I hate puzzle games with deaths and platforming. Unless it’s a first person shooter, then I would play it. I want to write a statement about why I’ve removed some tabs from my list. Firstly, there was the whole Demetori – Chinese Tea crap that I went through. I would have made a tab for it if the BPM was right. An ultimate guitar user told me after I made the request for that tab, that it was between 176 and 181 bpm… pretty shitty. And makes no sense. So I’ll wait for a tab for that before I make a CDLC of it. Or tab it even. Then there was other tabs. I had a couple left when I completed Heartfelt Fancy earlier. - 200kmh, a not very well known CROW’SCLAW said. I listened to it, wasn’t into it, not a tab I would do. - The Pacifier by Sync Arts. From a Japanese band. I’ll admit, the song sounds good in places, but it wasn’t enough to make me want to learn it. - Grief of Ressentiment by Demetori. A part acoustic part electric guitar song like Eastern Dream. It sounds good, it’s just one of those songs I like to listen to, but there wasn’t anything I really wanted to listen to, and the riff sounds very familiar too. I can’t remember where I heard it, I might have tabbed it before. - Far Beyond the Stars by BLANKFIELD. Another from the Danmaku Soundtrack, and you know what? I’M SO PISSED! You won’t believe it. I was going to tab this willingly. Until… I heard a riff. A riff that sounded so fucking familiar, I’m not going to tab it. The main part of this song, is remixed, it’s got a random Rhythm riff, with the solo from Final Battle. I’m not joking, compare them. - Flame For Puja. A beautifully composed song, good to listen to, but I think the timing was completely off when this song was recorded, and as a result, I got one BPM, but it wasn’t counting the BPM for the intro part, so I ended up scrapping this tab, I got the chorus notes right, but that was it. I gave up on that. Wish me luck now.

  16. A small update. My headset and mouse came. I’ve had nearly a week to adjust to it. The mouse, gorgeous. Very pretty to look at on full brightness. Unfortunately, it lights up when the PC turns on, which may not sound bad, but considering I leave my PC asleep, and it wakes up randomly sometimes, I really wished it didn’t do that. Because it makes my room too bright and there’s no way to turn it off. Until I get my sleep mask, that’s something I gotta put up with. I suppose the mouse is really well designed. It’s a Razer Basilisk. The right weight, good DPI, and DPI clutch. SCROLL WHEEL RESISTANCE, WTF. Sides made of rubber. Evenly weighted mouse buttons. One issue with it is more of a worry. I don’t know if the Razer logo is under the finish or laser cut from the finish, which is the wrong way to do it. My keyboard has withstood over a year of use and abuse, so I expect the mouse to survive longer, if not, disappointed. As for the headphones… did not 100% live up to expectations. The headphones, alright design, the metal bar seems useless. The foam is fairly comfortable even though you won’t feel it most of the time. It’s fully adjustable, so much better than my last pair in every way so far. The audio controller is shit, it’s located near the chest, it should be a clip on at the neck or waist. Bad design there. The weight is good, it sits and stays nicely on my head. It blocks out quiet noises, not necessarily loud music from next door though. Works with eye wear. The headphone speakers or whatever, are iffy. You need to have them even to get the same audio output from each side. One side can sound louder based on angle, then when you move it, it fucking sounds perfect. The audio quality is okay, to be honest. The mic, I don’t know, because it just comes with one audio jack, I don’t know what I’m supposed to do with that, I had to put it in headphone of course, and the mic doesn’t work as a result. But, if this withstands a year of use, which my other headphones did, without breaking the adjustable parts, or breaking anything really, then I can say this was worth my money. At the moment, I’m unsure. Also, I’m tabbing two ‘Must’ songs that I labelled that I just remembered. Surprisingly, they both have Dream in their name. If you can guess what it is, well done. That’s the only hint I’m giving you.

  17. Almost done... holy water. This was a tough tab. The hardest has to be lead though. Surprisingly. Rhythm was fairly easy. It's almost done now, then I'm gonna make an attempt and tabbing all the songs with ear learned covers. At least for Demetori and ZHIEND. If anyone wants to tab it before me, let me know. Here is what I got: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QLYqEuxxTQQ&index=1&list=WL

Check Nicovideo for covers and tabs. I haven't had the time.
  18. Alright, time to slam the Cannibal Corpse tabbers. For some odd fucking reason, most of the tabbers can't put in 'Palm mutes' or 'tab the solo'. The solo bit I can understand, but there were tabs that just didn't even have an attempt at the solo, and some tabs, one I tried today, had completely the wrong solo, for the wrong song, where in the hell does Cannibal Corpse go up to 24 frets? So I'm pretty pissed about it. I tried several tabs and it's all the same garbage. It's missing palm mutes, it's missing dynamics, wrong timings, missing arrangements. Honestly, these are some of the worst tabs I've ever seen, I reckon I would be able to do a better job if I could pick out low notes, but fucking hell. I'm never making a Cannibal Corpse CDLC until an actual tabber can tab their songs. Or at least upload the tab books. In brighter news, I am considering uploading Scale The Summit's new songs. I purchased their Guitar Pro tab book, which I'm still waiting to receive as of the time I wrote this. And I will be using it for educational purposes. One thing that doesn't make a lot of sense, is the tab books are $20 whilst the album is $5? Or £5 and £12. So I'm assuming the price increase is so that their tab isn't uploaded to UG or Songsterr by randoms. I won't do that myself.

  19. An update on my tabbing progress. 1/5th of the lead is done, and the intro Rhythm is part done, it's in F

  20. An update on the Desire Dream tab. It is now 33% complete. Within three days. So it's not bad. More progress than before. I only work about 3 hours a day on the tab. Maybe less. I used to work on it non-stop. But it got boring after a while, and I kept getting distracted.

  21. An update on where I am. First of all. I am definitely not reaching my goal this month of writing 8 tabs. But I am very close to completing my tab rewrites. I’m on Silent Voyage To Eternity. All that’s left after this is Oriental Dark Flight (Getting all the notes corrected), Scythe of Hell, and Scar On Face. I also plan on playing Minecraft again, because I absolutely love sandbox games. And the survival in Minecraft can be fun too. I used to play a lot of Tekkit, a custom Modpack someone made with over 100 mods, and Vanilla.

  22. Are there any CDLC's you believe need updating?

  23. At least an 75% complete tab. That solo was tough. After this tab, got some urgent fixes to other CDLC, then back to tabbing.

  24. Bad news. My tab wasn't accurate enough. I thought I had it quite accurate, but over half the notes were incorrect. Unfortunately. But fortunately, I'll be attempting to find out the correct notes by tomorrow. Also, CDLC Ignition is not working currently. So I'm updating some of my Demetori CDLC, look out for it.

  25. Border Of Life is getting remade and tabbed for other arrangements. It's confirmed. During that awesome rhythm part, there is a really really quiet guitar in the background which sounds awesome. The main reason I want to update it is because of its syncing issues, wrong BPM, and terrible lead tab. So expect this to be my next CDLC before I create another tab. It's going to be either Deep Mountain by Demetori, or a BLANKFIELD song. Yes. I'm going to attempt a seven string arrangement from an awesome soundtrack. Stop me.
