Hi !
I'm working on DDC v2.5 and I'm looking for songs which don't work with it :- Songs that already have mutliple levels of difficulty and an empty "transcriptionTrack" tag- Songs generated with old DDC releases (lower than v1.7)- Songs which encounter an error during the DDC processThanks -
There was an inconsistency in the XML files of the lead and rhythm arrangements (I added a fix in DDC v2.5 to protect the process from this inconsistency).
Here is the "psarc" file generated with DDC v2.5 : Metallica - Fade To Black - DD
The DD is not visible in the preview, but it works fine ...
-
Can you post the link to download this CDLC ?
-
DDC v2.4, works only with CDLCs which have only one level of difficulty or already generated by DDC.
I am working on the next release which will have a new merging process of existing difficulty levels.
This will remove this limit...

Yes, I'm sure I've sent the correct XML files. I looked at both of them, and indeed the one made by EoF does not have the sustain either, but it's shown in game properly.
I've made an image of my eof project:
http://thumbnails110.imagebam.com/33450/68a5f9334491030.jpg
I take it that the first two chords should have a sustain in the XML, and therefore it's probably a bug in EoF, even though EoF's output shows correct in RS2014, but the DD version does not show the chord sustain properly?
OK, I see your problem now :- when two adjacent measures have no notes inside, DDC creates an empty phrase automatically (in your case, the measures 2, 3 and 4 are merged into an empty phrase)- it is not a bug of DDC v2.4, but an internal logic of the phrases creation process (since the first releases of DDC)I will study how to take in consideration the sustains of notes to prevent this. -
Chlipouni, there's a bug in DDC 2.4 where the chord sustains are not always drawn to their correct lengths, and have their lives cut tragically short. I've uploaded a rar file with the no DD xml (where the chord sustain is correct), the DD xml and the log file here: https://www.dropbox.com/s/zon4yhchlqqdcb7/chordsustains%20ddc.rar
It's the first two and the fifth chords (00:05-00:13 seconds, 00:13- 00:16:50s (approx) and 00:20:80s-00:28:70s (approx)).
Could you look into it?
There are only a few chords with a sustain higher than "0.000" and they are correctly kept by DDC (time : 86.920, 87,660, 95.801, 179.683, 180,423).
Are you sure that you shared the good XML file ?
Thanks

@@RLWJR, This feature for xml files only for now, but I can add log files for package, output would be at "DDC_Log/%PackageName%"
Hi Alex,
This could be very useful !
Do not forget that there are several log files for one package (one file for each arrangement) ...
Thanks

First off Chlipouni, I love the DDC! I wouldn't even make CDLC if it wasn't available, so a big THANKS!
Simple question though...... When I use the DDC through RST, and I check the box for generating a log file, where does that log file end up? I never can seem to find what directory it was generated in.
Hi RLWJR,
In the Toolkit, you can use DDC with either :
- a package (.psarc file)
- an XML file of an arrangement ("PART REAL_GUITAR_RS2.xml" for example)
The log file is only visible in the second case (one log file for each arrangement).
Do not hesitate to ask about the content of the log file (there are many useful informations in it)
-
A song does not show up in the library if either :
- the name of the file does not end by "_p.psarc" (for PC), "_m.psarc" (for Mac), ...
- it shares the same "Arrangement Identifier" than an other one in the library.
In the second case, you can try to rename the file of an hidden song with a name like "aaa_p.psarc".
If it appears in the library, the other one which is in conflict with this one, will disappear.

Update v2.4 (13/06/2014)- New categorization process to allow multiple time signatures.- New notation to define the ramp up models.- New configuration file (ddc_default.cfg) to allow the modification of internal parameters (category and subcategory maps, merging levels, linked diff.).- New parameter to specify the configuration file to use.- New checks and associated warnings about the categorization process.- New merging process to reduce the number of difficulty levels (separate from the DD generation step).- New view of difficulty levels in the log file for a better differentiation of the levels before and after the merging process.- Fixed bug : Adjacent levels of difficulty may be wrongly merged together.

Did you define the time signature in EOF for this project ?
Can you generate the DD again and send to me the log file of the DDC process ("Generate log" checkbox in the DDC tab of the Toolkit) ?
Thanks
No, I've messed with Time-sigs in here before, but I never really ended up using them anymore. I didn't know they had much significance. Okay, I selected generate log, where does it save to?
To obtain the DD log file, you have to select the XML file of the arrangement in the DDC tab (not the psarc file)
The log file is generated in the same folder than the XML file.

"Over The Seas" has too many notes which are near a beat but not exactly on it.
Can you resnap the notes in EOF with a custom grid snap of 1/12 per beat ?
Thanks
-
Greensleeves is 6/8 with a 1/8 at first.
Hi,
Thanks for this song.
I tried to generate DD with it, but there are too many notes which are not well placed on a beat (but very close from a beat)
You can simply detect them with the [song][Highlight non grid snapped notes] feature in EOF (set a grid snap before with [Edit][Grid Snap][1/32]).
To resnap the notes, select them, then use the [Note][Resnap] menu.
Thanks

Hi,
Do you have a release of this song without DD inside ?
I can't generate DDC on this song because the existing levels were not generated by DDC or the song has been reimported and reworked in EOF ...
Thanks

V2.3 contains only a minor bug fix (not enough for a new release). It will be included in the next release v2.4...Now where did DDC 2.3 go? :D

AC/DC - Back In Black, has a now a Bass Tone...

Dell XPS 15 since January 2013. Perfect for Rocksmith, but its price is high.
Two important things for playing RS with a laptop are :
- a second graphic card for the game
- a good integrated cooling system
-
Just have a test with headphones to be sure about your sound issue
-
I always delete the existing file before generating it again (or choose another filename).
I have no freeze issues since I am doing like this.
-
Try to use the clean tone of "Ensiferum - Wanderer" CDLC.
I always reuse it for all of my customs ...

Did you try to use headphones to listen what you are playing ?
You may have a problem with the sound restitution (speakers) ...
Personnally I am using the Marshall Headphones connected to my laptop and the sound is great with Rocksmith.
