You don't use CFSM. You use the toolkit to re-author the CDLC. The toolkit will automatically generate the preview audio. If you want to add your own custom preview (not use the default) then you name the preview file the same as the main audio file, and add '_preview' to the file name. So something like this depending on what format your audio is in:
myAudio.wav
myAudio_preview.wav
or
myAudio.ogg
myAudio_preview.ogg
or
myAudio.wem
myAudio_preview.wem
Just make sure you put both audio files in the same folder and point the toolkit to the main audio file in CDLC Creator GUI. The toolkit will automatically use your custom preview audio file when the CDLC is generated. -
@@kgbfm_ CFSM is not able to do sound volume normalization. You can give Audiosmith a try if you have access to a PC.

@rhyspinot Think you have your answer. You may have multiple versions (duplicates) of the same CDLC that cause the game to lockup. Run CFSM>Duplicates>DuplicateType (check for both) on your collection. Use CFSM to delete any duplicates.
You can thank @bwaredapenguin for recognizing the issue. Let us know if this fixes the problem. -
Done. Download new CFSM rev.

Plz DM me links to copies of any Mac CDLC that are crashing the game for analysis.- 1

@@necronoid Plz see my DM. I will analyze some corrupt Mac CDLC if you provide them, and then let Mac users know the findings here.

User reports success using the tools with Crossover and Boot Camp on Catalina. If you have not upgraded to Catalina then the tools still work directly.
This is an information note and not a product endorsement,

@@rhyspinot Be sure to report the corruption to the CDLC charter ( @@bwaredapenguin ) so it gets fixed. If you can't find the charter then report the CDLC to a CF Mod so that it gets removed from Ignition. Thanks

@@rhyspinot Need some more info from you.
1) What OS Version?
2) Do you have a standard (default) install of RS or custom one (like to an external drive)?
Please answer these two question before you try:3) Relocate all your CDLC to someplace safe.
4) Repeat the patch procedure on fresh install in the default location, exactly per the instructions.
5) Play the patched game and make sure it works normally before reinstalling any CDLC.6) Install ONLY one CDLC into the dlc folder and play the game and CDLC,
If this works then you may have some corrupt CDLC in your saved library
7) Find the corrupt Mac CDLC using a PC and CFSM in Mac Mode, or add one CDLC at a time till you find the corrupt one that is hanging the game. -
You had a pretty old toolkit version there. Glad you got it working.

Add any special CFSM feature requests into the Feedback form and submit for consideration. No promises.
-
No there's currently not a way to do what you want. Because of how tagging works it must be removed first before editing, otherwise you would loose the original artwork. So untag>edit>save>retag is the way to go. You can make a special request to have such a feature automated over here.

Sorry, I can not take credit for the actual Mac Patch code. I don't even own a Mac anymore. There many smarter peeps than me who should to be thanked for the patch.

@BillSwamps If you are smart enough to have RS installed somewhere on your Mac other than the default location then you really should get a PC. :D

For anyone with Mac 64 bit Rocksmith 2014 Remastered issues. Here's what to do:
1) Uninstall Rocksmith. Make sure you DELETE the steam folder/files under application support when uninstalling it. Most user issues with uplay account not showing up and/or dlc missing are because when doing the uninstall the users never went in and manually deleted this folder.
2) Re-install Rocksmith to the default location. After the install, have steam verify your new files BEFORE applying the patch. http://customsforge....e-2#entry323900
3) Download, unzip and run the "run rs patch.command", then launch Rocksmith as normal. Here's the patch:. https://drive.google...iew?usp=sharing
Notes:
If/when steam/ubi pushes a new version of Rocksmith then you MUST repeat the above process. You may turn off steam autoupdates while ubi is testing new versions of Rocksmith if you want to avoid having to go through this process every-time.
If you encounter issues with Mac CDLC ... 1) Make sure you own ODLC Cherub Rock. 2) Make sure all your CDLC AppId's have been set to Cherub Rock and are repaired using CFSM>Repairs. 3) Make sure you don't have any duplicate CDLC using CFSM>Duplicates (check for both types of duplicates)If you have upgraded to Mac OS Catalina then you will need to run CFSM using Crossover, or Boot Camp apps. Otherwise you can run CFSM using the Rocksmith Tools Launcher app.
Here's the full version of the instructions and link to patch.

Any CDLC that are missing audio preview were created with a very old version of toolkit. These should be re-authored with the latest toolkit. There are currently no plans to add a repair feature of this type to CFSM. #CozyNeedsBeer
