Hi all! New to forums and CDLC in general, found so much great stuff so far and I'm now looking at dipping my foot in the water on trying to get some creation/editing going, and wanted to start with one of my current favorite bands. Problem is, he uses 7 and 8 string lead guitars, and I max out at 6. So my question is one of music theory; is there a way to transpose those notes played on those extra strings onto the standard 6 or are there notes played in octaves lower that prevent me from playing the song due to those limitations? And a follow up to that, if you transpose those lower notes up to an attainable range, does the entire composition have to be transposed up as well to compensate?
I hope I'm making sense, I've never had to consider this before. Thanks in advance for any clarification on this!
